Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

How's everyone this morning? I still have my cold :/ but no bloat! Congratulations to all the new comers! I don't think I have a bloat but I'm so, so tired.

Congratulations @brighteye3986

Woke up to a cold and nausea this morning. Yay.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

brighteye3986 · 26/02/2019 07:14

Thanks @TheNightIsForever @amehh and @TheGruffalosLoveChild I'm still in shock

thumper59 · 26/02/2019 07:24

This has made it feel a little more real this morning 🙂

Congratulations @brighteye3986

@Needadoughnut I've had cramps and felt sick since Friday before I even tested on Saturday, but this morning I've woke up fresh as a daisy I don't expect that to last! Glad I was doing the clear blue today because all my 'pregnancy feelings' (I know they aren't much at week 4!) had gone

Second day of feeling sick I guess i best get used to it 🤢

Shefliesonherownwings · 26/02/2019 07:53

Hello, can i join? Got my BFP yesterday and this morning with clearblue which made it all more real. Dont think DH believed me yeaterday! NHS app says due date is 5 November. I have stomach cramps and my left boob is killing me lol but no other symptoms so far. Not sure whether to mention to my manager as we have a meeting this morning or wait another month for our next meet.

Congratulations @shefliesonherownwings

Miller2 · 26/02/2019 08:24

Well, I look 7 months pregnant today. My fat pants that normally hang off me are tight. I'm sat at my desk at work with the top button undone. Need this bloating to do one. Plenty of time to look this big later down the line! Didn't feel quite as queasy this morning though which was nice, still a bit off but nothing like yesterday.

Miller2 · 26/02/2019 08:36

Also got my initial midwife appt at 10am. Feel quite nervous.

Bluebell9 · 26/02/2019 08:43

Morning everyone and congratulations to all that have joined.

I get more bloated as the day goes on, I wake up with a flat(ish) stomach and go to bed looking like I'm about to pop! I also get nausea in the evenings but at least I'm ok at work.

Hope the midwife appt goes well @Miller2.

TheNightIsForever · 26/02/2019 09:05

Good luck at your MW appt @miller2.

Just booked my booking in appt, 20th March. Seems so far away.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 26/02/2019 09:07

Good luck at the appointment Miller. I can’t believe people have midwife appointments already! They won’t do anything here until 8ish weeks+ (for your booking in appointment).

Shelfie - Congratulations! Obviously it’s your choice but I would leave it until your next catch up to tell your boss. I appreciate I am very negative though as with DC1 I told my old boss at around 9 weeks and it went VERY badly. Good luck for whenever you do have that conversation though!

TheNightIsForever · 26/02/2019 09:13

Is anyone diabetic? I wasn't when I had last baby so stressing about what will/could happen

thumper59 · 26/02/2019 09:16

@Shefliesonherownwings congrats! I'm due the 4th according to my app. My birthday is the 7th so I wonder if I'll be sharing!

@Miller2 good luck at your appointment. @TheGruffalosLoveChild it's the same here, self referral then at 8-10 weeks you'll get a letter for the booking appointment so it says!

thumper59 · 26/02/2019 09:17

@Bluebell9 my bloating varies. I woke up this morning feeling as normal as I have done in ages, but now the mid morning nausea has set in!

Shefliesonherownwings · 26/02/2019 09:31

Good luck this morning @Miller2, let us know how you get on.

Doctors appointment on Monday at 10am, they will refer to hospital apparently.

I think I will leave it a few weeks to tell my boss. She's not in a good mood today so probably best to wait!

snackered · 26/02/2019 10:13

Hi all,

Can I sneak in and join please? Have been lurking a bit - 2 miscarriages back to back last year and I'm feeling a tad anxious about this one sticking.

Am due on the 2nd of Nov, have DS already who's nearly 4. Having all the glamorous symptoms - bloating, nausea and sore boobs. Congrats all!

amehh · 26/02/2019 10:22

@TheGruffalosLoveChild same too, mine is booked but won't see you until between 8 and 10 weeks, just so happens I'm going at 8 weeks. Lucky too as at 10 weeks I'm off on my belated honeymoon and then when we are back it will be scan time yay!

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 26/02/2019 11:10

Aww how exciting amehh. Hopefully a lot to look forward to over the next few weeks!!!x

TheNightIsForever · 26/02/2019 11:17

Welcome and congrats @snackered!

Not sure what I've done today but my arse cheeks feel as though I've done 100 squats

worriedmomtobe1 · 26/02/2019 11:17

Hi everyone. How many of you are going for early scans before the midwife does one at 10-12 weeks?
Are they completely safe what do you think?

Ruthsoph · 26/02/2019 11:30

I am going to book an early scan - I have miscarried before at 6 weeks so just doing it for piece of mind really - why would it not be safe? its just a normal scan? isn't it?

thumper59 · 26/02/2019 11:32

I'm going to book one for when I'll be 8 weeks, so we can tell family

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 26/02/2019 11:38

I will also book one for about 7-8 weeks. I have done them previously (plus other private scans later in pregnancy) and I found it gave me a lot of comfort that things were viable. Granted a lot can go wrong after that, but I’ve always felt that if it was an ectopic / blighted ovum / no heartbeat I would rather know asap. Obviously if the scan goes ok there’s still a (not insignificant) risk until the baby is safely here, but given it’s most common for something to happen in the early stages, I’d rather get checked out early!

Needadoughnut · 26/02/2019 11:38

I'd like an early one but DP thinks it's unnecessary. I almost fainted at work.
