Hi everyone! I'm due 1st November so 4+1 today! Looking forward to having some people to chat to! I have a DS already who will nearly be 8 by the time this one appears and it's my DHs first bio child (although he is for all intents and purposes my DS's dad also)

How is everyone feeling?

Needadoughnut · 23/02/2019 17:43

Hi *Ameh" I'm more or less in the same position. My DD is currently 8 and it's my first with my DP.

Hi all! I’m due 4th November. This will be our first. How are we all feeling? I’m very excited but also nervous! Hoping everything goes ok.

Bluebell9 · 23/02/2019 18:30

I've got my GP appointment on Friday to be referred to the midwife, I think that'll make it seem more real!
Hello to everyone else who's joined.

Bluebell9 · 23/02/2019 18:32

Seems like there are a few off is waking up in the early hours. I had a snack at bedtime and managed to sleep till 5 this morning.

amehh · 23/02/2019 19:30

I'm super excited but trying not to get too far ahead until I've booked a 6 week reassurance scan - I have some concern that I may have scarred tubes and I need peace of mind that this little jellybean is in the right place :)

Has anyone else lost their appetite? I'm full really quickly and after about 4pm I just don't fancy anything at all

Yeoooooooo · 23/02/2019 19:45

Yes I’ve lost my appetite too. I thought I would want to eat more than usual but actually I’m just not hungry. I’m also suffering from insomnia and have been congested and felt quite flu-like for the past few days.

Needadoughnut · 23/02/2019 19:48

We're staying with my DPs family tonight. We rarely see them and I feel we should tell them, but seems too early :/

Hi everyone,

Please can I join?

Got our BFP on Thursday morning and due on 1st November. So still really early days. This is our first, im 32 and DH is 36. Both really nervous and concerned our little poppy seed wont stick.

Feeling slightly quesy sometimes and tired all the time although cant sleep past 5 in the morning.

Hope everyone else is feeling well

Spaghettimaretty · 23/02/2019 22:20

Hi everyone!
I found out I’m pregnant last night due 4th/5th November I think. Af isn’t due for another few days but my boobs had gone twice the normal sIze so I just knew I was pregnant.

Still very early days so trying not to get too excited but it’s hard not to.

This is my second child but it still feels all new, although this time I’m a lot more chilled out (for now).

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Needadoughnut · 24/02/2019 06:50

Good morning everyone! I've been sleeping for at least 16/18hrs out if the last 24. Been having a massive headache that comes and goes and I'm.not even 4 weeks pregnant!

Got my BFP on Friday. Did 3 different tests of different brands to make sure haha. In 34 and this is baby number one. Due 4th November. Feeling somewhere between excited and sh*t scared! Didn't expect it to happen on the 2nd cycle of trying so we're very lucky. Husband has named it twiglet for now. Haven't booked a gp appointment yet. I want to give us at least a week to let the shock settle in. Struggling to sleep as my boobs are so sore. Slept in a bra last night to keep them. In place and got on a bit better so may stock with that for now as at least I got a few hours.

amehh · 24/02/2019 08:45

@needadoughnut it's hard isn't it? DH is desperate to tell people! We are waiting until after the early scan to tell all our parents so they'll know at 7-8 weeks and for now it's just our secret :)

TMI - anyone else struggling to poop? Confused I remember this from last time, it's awful!

Miller2 · 24/02/2019 08:52

@amehh I'm OK. I struggled a week ago though but that was only 7dpo.i normally go like clockwork but it went 4 days without going. All is moving well now though like normal.

Miller2 · 24/02/2019 08:56

@amehh we're not telling people until 12 weeks... My mum cannot keep a secret to save her life if we tell her early we may as well plaster it all over Facebook. Only my husband and my closest friend know.

amehh · 24/02/2019 09:24

@Miller2 best to keep it quiet then! My mum only told my aunt and uncle last time which was fine and I'll be asking her not to this time and I trust her, I'll be gutted if she did but I don't think she will. My dad wont tell a soul and then we have DHs parents and sister but that's it for early reveals (sounds like a lot but we are close to all these people)

Re: pooping, I am finding it bizarre, I've been being investigated for IBS since December and now suddenly I've swung the other way and I don't know which is worse! Haha

Yeoooooooo · 24/02/2019 09:34

I’ve had a headache since Thursday and it’s driving me mad. I don’t feel sick yet which worries me in case something is wrong!

Miller2 · 24/02/2019 09:53

@yeoooooooo I don't feel sick yet either. Just a dull ache in my stomach which has been there a week and sore boobs (what made me suspect I was pregnant in the first place). Walking is helping with the dull ache in my stomach. If it sit for a few hours it feels worse so I'm trying to move about more. Hoping I don't get sickness but if I do I suspect that's to come in the next few weeks.

piddlestix · 24/02/2019 10:04

Hello everyone.
Congratulations to you all on your BFPs ❤️
I got my BFP Tuesday last week. Im due on 1st November.
I have two little boys aged 5 and 2 and this is my third pregnancy. Good luck everyone! Xx

Miller2 · 24/02/2019 10:13

@piddlestix baby number 3 congrats. This is baby number 1 so have absolutely no idea what I'm doing 🤣

Needadoughnut · 24/02/2019 10:16

@Yeoooooooo I'm glad I'm not the only one with a headache. I've had to have a coffee because there's nothing decaf and they already suspect something is odd will my sleeping and lack of drinking :/

OP posts:
amehh · 24/02/2019 10:51

Congratulations @piddlestix! We are due date buddies :)

I've also had headaches but I've had a sinus infection so can't comment on whether it's that or pregnancy related. No sickness here yet (or at all hopefully!) But had the dull ache for over a week too and boobs are just starting to get a bit more tender

Yeoooooooo · 24/02/2019 10:54

Thanks @Miller2 that’s reassuring! I suspect I’ll have 9 months of worry Smile

@Needadoughnut I bought decaf yesterday but it doesn’t taste as good as the real thing! I read it was hormone changes too and I probably do have some caffeine withdrawal. I’m going to go for a good walk soon to see if it helps and I have the stick you rub on your forehead too.

Miller2 · 24/02/2019 11:17

@yeoooooooo I can't have caffeine anyway. Not been able to for 15 years. I find the best decaf is loose tea (from the brew tea company) - it's by far the best decaf tea I've ever had and I've tried quite a few!

Needadoughnut · 24/02/2019 11:21

So what are due dates?

Needadoughnut: 5 Nov
