Hello! I couldn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. I'm due on the 5th. My DPs 40th birthday!

@tigsyboo welcome. Feel free to lurk 😊 I'm trying to contain some excitement as I know anything could happen. I just need to pray to mother nature that it all works out OK. X

Em39ma · 24/02/2019 21:04

Midwife thinks I’m only 5 weeks today.
I have to be seen early because of the miscarriage. It could be that my hcg is just rising properly this time, last time never got anything beyond 1-2 weeks

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 24/02/2019 21:52

Hi, would you mind if I (cautiously) join? Just got my BFP and am due around 7th Nov.

We decided to start TTC this month so it was a “planned pregnancy”, but I feel very very anxious. If things go to plan (and I appreciate that’s a very big “if”) we’ll have 3 under 3 come November 2019 😬.

Good luck ladies!

Miller2 · 25/02/2019 04:04

Is anyone else struggling to sleep? I'm managing 3 to 4 hours tops before I wake up bright as a button. It's currently 4am and I've been awake since 2 (went to bed at 10.30). Tried everything to get back to sleep including meditation but nothing has worked. 3rd day running now. I think my temperature is a bit all over the place. I get hot under the quilt and cold out of it. May go and dig out a spare quilt cover and try just that on its own. Just wondering if it was just me or not.

CCBloom1 · 25/02/2019 07:23

Hi All.
Can I join. I think I’m due at the beginning of November but it’s hard to know as my periods were all over the place.
I have a DS who is 11 months so will potentially have 2 under 2 if this all works out. Very very excited.

TheNightIsForever · 25/02/2019 07:33

Miller I've been struggling to sleep the last couple of weeks but last night I was sparko by 9pm and woke up at 7am this morning. I did have a massive headache though so maybe that's why.

Hope everyone is doing well this morning.

I have an 11yo, 10yo, 8yo (ss) 7yo (ss) and a just turned 5yo

Yeoooooooo · 25/02/2019 08:33

@Miller2 I can get off to sleep but wake up at all hours and can’t get back over again. This morning it was 5.45 but on Friday night it was 3am.

Is anyone else really bloated? By the end of the day my waistband is like a vice!

TheNightIsForever · 25/02/2019 08:41

Yeooooo yes! Bloated and look 6m gone by the end of the day! How I'm going to be able to hide for much longer is going to be fun!

Hope everyone's sleep starts settling down soon.

Miller2 · 25/02/2019 08:46

Glad it's not just me then! I got back off at some point after 5am. Alarm went off at 6.15 and I was not happy! I work in a school so first day back today and it's proved to be very stressful so far. Plus had to bring a bowl as I heaved twice this morning. Wasn't sick but was not going to do that drive without a bowl just in case.

Erismorn · 25/02/2019 09:13

Yes to the crazy bloating, the waking up at 4am (plus weird dreams) and the headache.

DD has woken up with quite a high temp this morning, so no school for her. There goes my plan of getting lots of sorting done today!

Miller2 · 25/02/2019 09:33

Contacted the GP surgery and have an appointment with the midwife at 10am tomorrow. I feel so stressed and worked up today which can't be good for me or twiglet (as DH has named it) but I'm struggling to calm down. Any tips?

EmKR100 · 25/02/2019 09:53

Hello!

I’ve just found out I’m due October 30th but as it’s a third baby I know from my previous two it’s more likely to be mid November.

I’m absolutely terrified if I’m honest as it was a bit of a surprise. I am divorced and with a new partner now, and although we’d planned a baby at some point before too long, I was thinking more like in a year or so. I’m suddenly doubting the relationship and feeling scared to death.

But of course it was something I wanted so just getting my head round it really.

Nice to meet you all...

Bluebell9 · 25/02/2019 11:38

Hello @EmKR100, congratulations.

I've been waking in the early hours too @Miller2 and @Yeoooooooo. It was 3am this morning! I managed till 5am on Sunday morning but I had a snack right before going to sleep so I'm going to try that again tonight.

thumper59 · 25/02/2019 12:05

I am doing the opposite. I'm so exhausted! Although when I do get up in a morning I am wide awake which is a nice change 😂

thumper59 · 25/02/2019 12:06

@EmKR100 congratulations! This is my first pregnancy, and was very wanted! But i get what you mean, it's normal I think to make you second guess everything around you, it's a big life change! X

Naughtysausage · 25/02/2019 12:13

Hello @EmKR100 - that sounds really stressful. How has your partner taken the news?

@Miller2 have you tried articulating why you are stressed and then answering each concern as if it was your best friend? We could do it for you?

I went into the doctors this morning and got my booking in appointment booked in. It's not a month, but I've got a pack to read and a wee sample pot to bring back with me. I've forgotten the joys of trying to wee in a tiny tube without getting any on the label. I'm going to buy myself a funnel. 😂

3at42 · 25/02/2019 12:54

Hi all I’m due Nov 1st. Congrats to everyone on your BFPs. My DH was a bit dubious of the test we did on Fri because it was fainter than the control so I did the second one today and it came up straight away - this will be his first, my 3rd and a surprise but a good one!

I’m having the usual symptoms but also diagnosed with severe sciatica last week so on some strong pain meds and off work at the moment. I’m worried all the stress will stop it sticking Sad

Anyone else planning an early scan through a private clinic?

Miller2 · 25/02/2019 12:56

@naughtysausage can't you just pee in a jug (much easier) then pour it from there?

I feel less stressed now. I think it was a combination of first day back after half term, having to tell my line manager (I have to since they need evidence of appointments and my one for tomorrow says midwife plastered on it) and the stress of having to cover any missing staff (it's a stressful job first thing in the morning, no easing in to the day gently). Line manager and school business manager were all dead excited. I've had my health and safety review thing too. They were far more excited about the news than me. I don't want to say I'm not excited... I am deep down, but I think I'm still in total, utter, complete shock to be honest. And I'm also aware it's still really early days and I almost don't want to get my hopes up until later down the line. Does that sound too pessimistic? I don't mean it to but I'm almost scared of getting too excited and planning too far ahead just yet.

EmKR100 · 25/02/2019 13:01

@naughtysausage he’s been lovely luckily - the problem seems to be all mine! It’s just making me freak out about the relationship which is horrible. He’s lovely with my existing kids and we are about to move in together so I think I need to just try and get myself together and stop panicking. It’s like every little thing he does is wrong at the moment - even if his hair is fluffier than usual! - which is not fair on anyone. Argh!

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 25/02/2019 14:12

Just trying to catch up. I also have bad insomnia (although I always do) and feel so bloated! I also need to pee all the time...

Bluebell9 · 25/02/2019 14:14

@Miller2 I know what you mean about not feeling you can get too excited. Its really early days and anything can happen. Obviously I'm hoping it all goes smoothly. Plus, it still doesn't seem real, maybe that'll change when I start having appointments etc.

Is anyone suffering with nausea yet? Apart from not sleeping great and sore boobs, I've not really got many symptoms.

Ruthsoph · 25/02/2019 14:21

Hello everyone - I am due on the 6th November - my period is due this Wednesday but did the test Friday and was positive!
amehh - what the 6 weeks reassurance scan? how do I book this?
I ask as I have a mis carriage last year at around 6 weeks so although I am very happy feeling a bit apprehensive.

Congrats all xx

NotSoThinLizzy · 25/02/2019 14:33

I'm going to jump aboard too. I'm due either the 1st or 2nd November 😊 just picked up my pregnacy pack today

Ruthsoph · 25/02/2019 14:43

I also keep getting stomach cramps - is anyone else getting these?

fluffybunny86 · 25/02/2019 14:47

I keep getting some cramping along with feeling really bloated. Really worried the cramping means some impending doom and have to keep reassuring myself that AF hasnt started
