@ChaosMoon lol! Tell me about it. The leg cramps at night are becoming unbearable now. Im physically unable to breastfeed which i am gutted about but i knew i wouldnt be able to a long time ago so ive accepted it now

@Buttons28 ohhh exciting! I have my 36 week scan next friday, hopefully ill have an induction date. Saw the midwife today and we went through my birthing plan. I was naive enough to think its just about pushing a baby out but nope! I need to think about labour positions, am i willing to have the bit between my fufu and bumhole cut if need be, how i want to give birth to the placenta and a load of other stuff... the only bit that made me smile was when she talked about skin to skin contact and holding my baby...thats the only bit im thinking about

ChaosMoon · 28/03/2019 05:34

You can start any time from 36 weeks @Buttons28.

That's so exciting about the head. Mine is always head down but doesn't seem to be staying to engage yet. It'll be lovely to see baby again on Monday too!

Went out for dinner last night with friends. It was lovely but I was sooooo uncomfortable and my back was in agony by the time we left. I really don't want to end up stuck at home until baby arrives, because my back is being all pathetic. Hopefully I just overdid it yesterday.

That's such a shame @Springmummy19. I have friends who've been unable to add well and it's caused such heartache. As you say, the silver lining to knowing ahead of time is that you can at least make peace with it before your baby gets here.

There's so much to think about with the birth plan isn't there! It was kind of fun to talk about it because it made it so real but also so overwhelming!

Hey guys how's it going?
I'm officially on maternity leave now 😁

Just wondering if you are having Braxton Hicks? I seem to be getting then quite regular in the evenings and are a lot more intense than a few weeks ago. Hoping body is in full on prep mode now

Blgb · 30/03/2019 10:48

Hey @Buttons28 it's all good at the moment
Welcome to maternity leave and not knowing what to do with yourself 😂. I've been getting them all week In the afternoon and evening coupled with backache (back to back baby) and diorreah (can never spell it) in the mornings so hoping they're all positive signs that he will make a move soon.

Been on a couple of walks and bouncing on my ball but not shifting him just yet.

Blgb · 01/04/2019 08:40

Happy birth month everyone! Can't wait to see everyone's little ones make an appearance! I'm already bored and hoping he decides to come early

Good luck to everyone 😍💙❤️⭐️

ChaosMoon · 01/04/2019 08:50

I hope you're enjoying mat leave @Buttons28. Is this your first proper day?

Braxton Hicks have really increased, both in frequency and intensity. I've also started getting horrible cramp at night and some really strange nerve pain in my fingers. (God pregnancy is weird.) Nothing that tells me birth is imminent though, more's the pity! I think I need to get on that ball too @Blgb!

ChaosMoon · 01/04/2019 08:52

Happy birth month all!

Me too @Blgb. I thought I was doing well until I realised I was getting really impatient about everything except the baby. Some definite displacement going on there!

I can't believe we are now in April!! I really hope baby decides to come in April and doesn't string this out until May 🙈

It's a strange feeling not having to go into work but so far I'm enjoying it. I've made a big to do list and am going to attempt to cross a couple of things off each day so that I still feel like I'm achieving something and not sat doing nothing. Hoping I get a refreshed sense of nesting soon which will motivate me to do a couple of things on the list haha

How are the symptoms going? @Blgb @ChaosMoon

I had a growth scan yesterday and baby is looking good. Currently estimated to be just over the 7lb mark already and still have a few weeks to go. Hoping baby isn't going to be too big as I'm only petite 😁

Blgb · 04/04/2019 07:09

@Buttons28 the symptoms are a steady trickle but not amounting to anything. I thought I'd done really well in pregnancy. It starting to suffer now with backache, twinges, heartburn etc they all seem to have bombarded at once! Not much longer thou til I hold my baby boy 💙 how are you feeling?

ChaosMoon · 04/04/2019 07:51

The symptoms are definitely ramping up @Buttons28. In fact I'll second @Blgb's use of the word bombarded.

Since the arrival of the night cramps my backache has gone from bad to worse and I'm getting it in the places, plus sciatica. It's got to the point where I can barely walk at times. (Unhelpful when I want to walk to get things moving. Depressing when it means I can't get out to see people and do things.)

I've also developed carpel tunnel in the last few days. Not only is it uncomfortable / painful but I keep seeing things and then they have to live in the floor until DH gets home and can pick them up!

Finally, on Monday I was getting really intense BH every 10 mins all day and night. But no progression -definitely not real contractions, more the pity!

Having to work really hard not to start feeling sorry for myself!

I hope everyone else is ok x

@Blgb @ChaosMoon how far along are you now? When is your next appointment?
you have done so well to only be suffering so close to the end!

I have a feeling I might be waiting for a while yet until baby comes. No twinge or pains to report just a disturbed night where I was awake for a few hours which has made me feel like crap today.

I'm 37+4 and have started to perfect the typical "pregnant woman bouncing on a ball technique" not sure if it's doing anything tho

Blgb · 04/04/2019 19:55

@Buttons28 I think @ChaosMoon is due any day! I'm 38+5 so almost hitting my final official week! Still just getting twinges and lots of "early labour" symptoms but like I said I think he's gunna make me wait. Keep bouncing! 😂

ChaosMoon · 04/04/2019 20:12

Yeah, I'm 39 and 4 so due Sunday! My next appointment is Tuesday, though with anyluck I won't need it.

OP posts:
ChaosMoon · 04/04/2019 20:16

Oops, posted too soon. I really don't think I'm going to be on time. Just because all my family have tended to go early so sods law dictates I won't be that lucky!

I'm glad you're not suffering too much, though I know the lack of sleep sucks!

OP posts:
Blgb · 06/04/2019 19:29

My back is killing today and I keep getting cramping pains but can't tell whether I'm starting or it's wind or what and I'm stressing a bit that I'm not gunna be able to distinguish the pains. With baby been back to back (at last visit) I don't know what aches and pains are normal! 😂
No show or waters thou?! Arghhhhhh

ChaosMoon · 07/04/2019 03:40

I know what you mean @Blgb! Everyone says "you just know" but I can think of at least two women who ended up with a home birth because they didn't. My biggest worry is that I won't call DH back from work in time.

I hope things are progressing for you though!

OP posts:
ChaosMoon · 09/04/2019 07:18

Well after 7 hours of thinking I had bad BH, I finally twigged and realised I was in labour. Luckily DH was at home at the time! DD was born about 7 hours later.

@ChaosMoon wow congratulations!! Give us more details! How was labour, weight? Etc xx

Blgb · 09/04/2019 08:13

Awwww @ChaosMoon she is beautiful! I'm with @Unicorn234 I want all the details! Congratulations!!!! 🎀

I had a breakdown at 3am this morning cos I couldn't sleep but feeling better now and suffered all day yesterday from a headache and sickness. Got midwife this afternoon and gunna try and persuade her to give me a sweep 😂

Blgb · 09/04/2019 08:15

Also does that mean you pretty much nailed your due date? That's so lucky!!

Buttons28 · 09/04/2019 11:03

@ChaosMoon amazing news! Congratulations 🙂 she is beautiful

Clare4567 · 09/04/2019 14:02

Congratulations @ChaosMoon !!! 💖

Junebug55 · 09/04/2019 16:25

Congratulations @ChaosMoon She's a beauty!

ChaosMoon · 11/04/2019 14:44

Thank you so much ladies!

She was 7lb 10 and I went into labor on my due date, so surprisingly punctual!

I'd been using my increasingly intense BH as an excuse to practice hypnobirthing for a few days, which meant I didn't really realise I was in labour for a good 6 hours at least. Managed to stay at home long enough to be 5cm dilated when we got to hospital. So straight in the pool and she was born 3 hours later.

If you haven't got a silicon breast pump, can I highly recommend one? My milk came through today and it's been a life saver! Mine's a Bumble Bee, I think the more common make is the Hakkaa but they're basically the same thing.

Hope you're all doing well. Any luck with the sweep @Blgb? I completely get the sleep deprived breakdown. But be warned, you'll be due a couple more of those once baby gets here. They feel more worth it then though.
