@Unicorn234 awww he is absolutely gorgeous! Glad everything went well for you both. Making me more and more excited to meet my little one!

Anyat212 · 17/03/2019 16:23

Aww he’s adorable unicorn! Glad you are both okay. Sounds like it all happened very quickly especially finishing work that day!

I too am feeling very excited now to meet my LO 💜

Buttons28 · 17/03/2019 18:10

@Unicorn234 Massive congratulations! He is truly adorable! Glad everything is going well. Sounds like you finished work just in time! Hopefully you will be home soon x

Clare4567 · 17/03/2019 19:08

@unicorn234 Congratulations! That's amazing. So glad it went well and hope your LO is home soon. 💜💜

Unicorn234 · 18/03/2019 00:26

Thanks everyone 😊 I would of liked a week to myself but little man had other ideas haha. Never mind, he is totally worth it!
Wishing all you ladies lots of luck with your births, remember to stay positive. I went to 9cm without any pain relief, very proud of myself haha. Just go with the flow as much as you can xx

ChaosMoon · 18/03/2019 08:45

That's such good news about his blood sugars @Unicorn234. Fingers crossed the jaundice goes soon and you can get him home.

That's really interesting that they told you to come in after losing your mucus plug. Where I am, we've been told not to call for that unless there are other symptoms as well. It's all so different depending on where you are!

Sounds like it went fast and smoothly though, and you did a great job!

So sorry to hear about the constipation @Anyat212. I had that at about wk 15/16 and have lived in fear of it ever since. Hopefully the waddle means the baby's starting to engage and things will start for you once you hit the full term window. Mind you, you'd no longer be classed as premature now.

Does anyone remember what it was like to feel comfortable? I think I do, but it was such a long time ago...

Junebug55 · 18/03/2019 11:39

Congratulations @unicorn234 that must've been quite the surprise! Glad to hear everything went well. 😊

@ChaosMoon I hear you. Last night was my worst night so far, up 5 times for loo trips or glasses of water. I am so tired now which, combined with the inability to get comfortable in any seated position, has made me quite the grump today!

I can't imagine being one of those people who misses being pregnant...

Buttons28 · 18/03/2019 12:00

@ChaosMoon I'm always most comfortable first thing in the morning when I need to get up and out of bed. I then get gradually worse as the day goes on. I feel guilty for wanting to feel normal like my pre pregnancy self 🙈

Buttons28 · 18/03/2019 12:05

@Junebug55 I'm with you on the annoying night trips to the toilet. I'm finding that I'm so warm at night that I'm having to drink more which results in having to get up more. Is anybody else noticed an increase in temperature? Even at work people are sat with big warm jumpers and complaining about the cold - I'm sat in a vest top boiling!

Anyat212 · 18/03/2019 12:25

Chaos I’m exactly the same, I’m just so used to feeling uncomfortable now I’ve really got used to it 😂 I’ve finally managed a BM it’s awful pregnancy constipation though isn’t it! My sickness tablets really contribute to it as well, think this has been the fifth time during my pregnancy now. I feel like a new woman today though! Has anyone else got the waddle? I also cannot wait to sleep on my back again I feel I didn’t appreciate it enough..

buttons I’m usually either really hot or really cold I don’t seem to have an inbetween so feel you on the ‘hot’ side. I’m also having several trips to the loo every night, I pretty much had a wee with my eyes closed this morning on the loo Blush the tiredness is so real now!

unicorn well done getting that far without pain relief, I’m really envious. I’m a total drama queen who is the type of person to cry for stubbing my little toe, so I dread to think what I’ll be like in labour! Congrats again Smile

ChaosMoon · 18/03/2019 13:29

Oh god @Buttons28 isn't that sods law? I felt like that for a while, until I stopped being comfortable in the morning either...

The lack of sleep is definitely the worst @Junebug55. Except that I'm so uncomfortable that I wake up between loo trips as well, so it's all a bit chicken and egg.

And the heat! I only get overly warm at night. Again, sods law. 😭

Sorry. I'm feeling very sorry for myself today.

So glad to hear that @Anyat212. It's such a relief when it eventually happens!

Buttons28 · 18/03/2019 15:03

@ChaosMoon Hey don't worry about it, let it out. Just think we are so very close to the end now and then we will get a whole new level of sleep interruptions from our babies and our bodies adjusting to life after birth 👍

@Anyat212 oh I miss sleeping on my back sooooo much! i didn't realise it would be something so small that became such a big thing to miss!

I only get a waddle when baby decides to sit on my bladder when walking 😂 I fear this may become a frequent issue soon though!

I really didn't know what to expect with pregnancy to begin with and I can definitely say it's nothing like it's shown on tv

MayaLH · 18/03/2019 16:57

Here’s the bump today, 33 weeks and 4 days but measuring over full term. Definitely so uncomfortable now and don’t know how much bigger I can get at this point 😩 hoping the fluid is lower at my next appointment since it was off the charts before but I doubt it’s looking any better. Baby is super active today which despite being uncomfortable at times, I always enjoy as it’s a sign she’s strong and healthy.

Helga55 · 18/03/2019 17:03

@MayaLH I feel for you, am so uncomfortable now, get breathless at the smallest of tasks, we had some reduced movements over the weekend which was a worry, but the little monster seems to be back on full form now. I'll be in the process of being induced in 48hrs, will be 37 + 1, in all honesty, although I'm not looking forward to it, I am looking forward to being me again iyswim

MayaLH · 18/03/2019 19:20

@Helga55 wow that’s so exciting, good luck! I know what you mean, I can’t wait until look and feel like myself again. I’m getting miserable towards the end of my pregnancy which is not me at all plus I’m so nit used to looking at myself with this huge belly and everything! 😂

ChaosMoon · 19/03/2019 09:19

Thanks @Buttons28. You're so right.

I actually only woke up to go to the loo /turn over 4 times last night. I now feel like I'm winning at life! 😄

My goodness @MayaLH no wonder your so uncomfortable. Fingers crossed for your next appointment. When is it now? You're right about the movements. They can really hurt but they're also so reassuring and exciting!

@Helga55 that must have been so worrying. I'm really glad everything was ok. I know what you mean about being you again. I have to keep reminding myself that I will still need time to recover from the birth and settle into a new routine. We definitely need to carve out a little bit of time for ourselves in the fourth trimester too though. Not long for you now!

Helga55 · 19/03/2019 11:09

@ChaosMoon am bricking it if I'm honest 😔 Hate being prodded & poked about with. Being in hospital & an induction was the complete opposite of what I wanted & am worried at how long it could take. Guess I've just got to focus on a few days down the line when it'll all be over & I'll be back home with the new addition

Blgb · 19/03/2019 16:44

Anyone else else got massive legs and feet?! They have ballooned in the last 3 days! Will have to put them above my head to
Get this amount of swelling down! #pregnancyproblems 😂

ChaosMoon · 20/03/2019 14:05

Good luck today @Helga55! I really hope it goes as smoothly as these things can. Sending 💐🤞🤞🤞

Touch wood, I've managed to avoid that so far @Blgb. I hope the legs over head trick works. Chat to your midwife of not though.

Clare4567 · 20/03/2019 16:18

Yes good luck @Helga55 !

Does anyone else have very sore ribs? I'm trying to lie on my left hand side as baby was back to back at our appointment today and I really want them back in a good position, but it's so uncomfortable. It's the side of my ribs, just above my bump.

ChaosMoon · 20/03/2019 16:47

Yep! Been getting that for a while @Clare4567. I think it's just everything expanding. That and the baby laying siege to my ribcage.

OP posts:
ChaosMoon · 20/03/2019 16:47

Pressed send too soon. I really hope you can get them to turn!

OP posts:
Clare4567 · 20/03/2019 21:54

Thanks @ChaosMoon - yeah I guess there must be a lot of pressure on our ribs!

MayaLH · 21/03/2019 07:51

Hope everything is going well @Helga55
