I just got shat on by a bird. That's meant to be good luck right?!

So spreading my good luck to all of you guys too! Grin

sunshine1987 · 29/11/2018 11:39

Is anyone just waiting for symptoms to kick in? I’m hoping i’ll kick myself for wanting them but would like to feel pregnant 🙈 x

SullyWifey · 29/11/2018 12:30

@Bakingabean oh thank you I will accept that as some lucky my way!!

@sunshine1987 honestly every day is different so me. I don't "feel" pregnant. But was sick this morning for first time. In my mouth whilst driving may I add. Felt queasy all morning then soon as was sick feel totally fine.

Still getting cramps though on and off and quite painful at times. Other than that, my boobs don't even hurt now!

Will be 4 weeks tomorrow, so early still. DH said when can we get excited about it and I said, I don't know I'm scared to right now!!

sunshine1987 · 29/11/2018 12:35

Oh god @sullywifey that sounds horrible! I’m only 4+3 so not much ahead of you x

Ninunina · 29/11/2018 14:00

Welcome @dragonmummy17 & @Fae1989 !

I did the same thing this morning @SullyWifey. I was driving too. On the whole I'm not feeling too bad (far better than with my other pregnancies) but there is a feeling of sickness for many parts of the day and I've somewhat lost my appetite. This is new too since I was very hungry with DD1 & DD2. I hope this part continues because I can't afford to put on another 20kg.

MrsRyan15 · 29/11/2018 14:09

Congratulations @Noopey your journey sounds quite similar to mine, 18 months and lots of scans and tests but no reason it wasn't happening. I had pretty much resigned myself to IVF so was so shocked to get the result! Due on Aug 5th.

I'm quite anxious about something going wrong so want to wait until 12 weeks but doubt I will get through Xmas with quite a few people knowing!

MrsRyan15 · 29/11/2018 14:11

Thanks @UnicornDust17 I'll def use some of those. My biggest problem is going to our local, even if I buy my own non alcoholic drinks the staff will be suspicious!

May just have to avoid as much as possible

MimiDiddy · 29/11/2018 15:43

@Chocolate89 thank you for the welcome.

@UnicornDust17 I think everyone goes through a pregnancy time vortex that takes forever in the first trimester, rmc just makes it suck even more. FX the EPU will give you an early scan. Bean no. 4 was sticky for me so I'm not eligible for an early scan at the moment :)

I thought I'd probably got a head of myself joining this group cos I've been getting v faint lines on my Internet cheapies, but I've just checked the reviews on Amazon and about a third complained about them not working so I think I'll invest in a FRER tomorrow!

SullyWifey · 29/11/2018 18:17

@Crossfitgirl welcome to your new thread 😘😘😘 August babies here we come xx

Ninunina · 29/11/2018 18:36

I just had a though, if this bean sticks my baby won't be an August baby since it will no doubt be an ELCS after a disastrous failed VBAC last time that resulted in a very complicated EMCS. Usually they schedule
C sections at 38 weeks here, so that would be mid July. That's really not far away is it?

marajade12 · 29/11/2018 19:31

Got my bfp yesterday. Af due today and no sign 🥳 trying to resist the urge not to poas every other minute ( have done 4 so far!!)

SullyWifey · 29/11/2018 19:36

@marajade12 congrats darling!! I just did my 4th one of the week hahah. Can't help it! Did a digital and it looks so lovely in words!! Sending sticky thoughts to everyone x x x x x

dragonmummy17 · 29/11/2018 20:16

@Ninunina thanks
@marajade12 congratulations on your BFP

Noopey · 29/11/2018 22:33

@MrsRyan15 gosh it’s been a long 18 months. I don’t think we would have gone down the IVF route. We’d discussed adoption, which i’d still love to do but that will have to wait now.

There’s no way I’ll get through Christmas without telling some people. I’ve only known 24hrs but I’m already struggling not to tell people!!

UnicornDust17 · 29/11/2018 22:59

Congrats and hello @milly2000 @dragonmummy17 @marajade12
Congrats @Fae1989 I also had a MC last year so am trying not to worry this time around.

Kileah18 · 30/11/2018 00:44

Hi everyone can I please join I’m 1/2 days late toda, didn’t buy any tests until tonight as havnt felt any different, just been a bit more tired, took 2 tests and for the first time ever BFP at 10pm and then 11.30pm because I didn’t Belive it!! I took the boots own pink dye tests. The first day of my last period was 31st October! One app is saying 4weeks the other is saying 5 so what do you guys think? The calendar is saying due date around 10th August! X

August 2019
Ninunina · 30/11/2018 05:27

Welcome @Kileah18! My guess is 4 weeks if your last AF was 31st Oct. I'm 5 weeks today and my last period was on the 26th October. Perhaps try a cb digital today. Is this your first baby?

Anyone else experiencing sickness at night? Mine seems to be more pronounced at night. I don't recall feeling this way with the other two (the night was my respite from being sick a dozen times a day). Still no actual puking full on puking (just feeling sick in my mouth til now Envy)

Kileah18 · 30/11/2018 08:05

Thank you @ninunina I thought that too then different due date calculators said 5! This is the first time I have ever had 2 lines on a test in my whole life I was up all night long absolutely mesmerised at the tests and changing my apps! Couldn’t sleep at all!
Sorry for being stupid here but what do I do now? Are you supposed to get bloods done by doctor?

I wasn’t even going to test this month because I had it in my head I wasn’t pregnant no symptoms at all just bad skin which I thought was AF & I dunno if it’s related but gassy a lot & so thirsty!

EverythingNow · 30/11/2018 08:07

@kileah18 My last period was also 31st October, but I have 26day cycles (was due AF) Monday so I'm 4wks4days and due 5th August according to NHS calculator. If you have a longer cycles and are 1 or 2 days late the due date would be later.

@ninunina I feel more sick this time. I feel sick when I wake up, it goes away for a while and comes back after lunch. I am drinking a lot of peppermint tea! I've never had symptoms this early in pregnancy before, and my boobs are full and massive. I wonder if it's cos I'm older?

sunshine1987 · 30/11/2018 08:16

Congratulations @kileah18! I’d give your doctor a ring as they’re all different but at mine they don’t see you to confirm, they take the pregnancy test as you being pregnant and then you self refer through the hospital to the midwife xx

Ninunina · 30/11/2018 08:29

Yeah, I think the best way to start would be to call your health center @Kileah18 and see what they say. When I was living in the Uk I think I had a gp appointment first and then everything else was set up from there.
I'm not living in the UK anymore so things may have changed.

Kileah18 · 30/11/2018 08:33

Thank you @Everythingnow the NHS is saying 4w 2days & due 7th August!

Great thank you @sunshine1987 I literally have no idea what I’m supposed to do lol!! Do you always have to have bloods taken? I’m still in disbelief we’ve been trying 6 months and never had a second line this month we were going to relax with ttc cus it was stressing us out! Since I took the test I’ve been feeling sick with nerves 😂 and up the whole night lol is this your first baby? Xx

sunshine1987 · 30/11/2018 08:41

@kileah18 yep my first 🙈 I’m 4+4 today, going to wait until 5 then ring the midwife. If you look on your doctors surgery website it might tell you or give them a ring 😊, I don’t think you always do, I don’t anyway they just said they didn’t need to see me and self refer. I don’t feel pregnant at all so just waiting for it to kick in lol. We were the same, 7th cycle and had decided to give ourselves a break and enjoy our honeymoon and fell pregnant during it xx

Kileah18 · 30/11/2018 08:56

@sunshine1987 I think I’ll do the same as you & leave doctors til next week! Omg how amazing massive congratulations to you the honeymoon was obviously exactly what you needed to relax! We got married in May also! I think I want to book an early scan as I don’t think I’ll believe it until I see it! Currently sitting outside the chemist waiting on it opening to get a clear blue digital and a few more tests 😂🙈 xx

UnicornDust17 · 30/11/2018 08:56

Congrats @kileah18. Try googling your local hospital maternity services, and it may tell you there whether you can self refer or need to visit your GP first. Smile
