@irishcypriot its good to be excited! Stay that way!

@jodie ah i think thats normal for parents! Their generation didnt tall about mc at all, so they waited ages before telling people! So before 12 weeks seems like madness to them. Having said that i told my parents on my last pg at 5 weeks and had a mc and really relied on their support!
Very normal to be anxious too, you are growing a very tiny human and all your insticts are to protect it!

@pinklady has the bleeding stopped? That's so stressful, but spotting so so common in early preg! Fingers crossed for you xxx

@everythingnow will they book you in for 12 week scan? A private scan might be nice a bit earlier then! Apparently of you have a scan of the baby in the right place and a hb, your rate of mc dramatically reduces. Whatever is going to give you the most reassurance though! Its so hard after mc isnt it? I find myself constantly comparing this pg to my last, where as when i was pg with my dd i just enjoyed it!

I've had my bfp confirmed by the doctor today. Feel like I'm about to burst with excitement (it's our first). Not know how I'm going to be able to sit in work for the rest of the day..

sunshine1987 · 26/11/2018 11:57

At what point should I self refer? I’m 4 weeks today so know it’s early but not sure what I do now lol x

sunshine1987 · 26/11/2018 15:30

@bhillary xx

mrsof20118 · 26/11/2018 15:39

Hi ladies. Can I join. Due date estimated to be 31st July so no doubt it will extend into August. Nervous as well as had an early mc in September.

Katieroslin · 26/11/2018 17:23

I am expecting 2nd August. Smile Confirmed pregnancy at doctors this morning.

IrishCypriot · 26/11/2018 18:46

@sunshine1987 I self-referred at 4+2!
Not sure it's made a difference to me waiting until 5/6 weeks to be honest.

Best bet is to get GP referral to the EPAU (early pregnancy unit) and not directly to maternity. Explain any worries, symptoms etc and they might deem it necessary for an early scan. After this you can still self refer to maternity afterwards, unless your hospital is on the ball and links up the referrals for you!! Varies from place to place x

sunshine1987 · 26/11/2018 18:55

@irishcypriot thank you, may wait another week. We don’t go through our GP surgery here, we self refer to the midwife and they then inform the doctors xx

UnicornDust17 · 26/11/2018 19:01

Hello, really scared to post on here but got a BFP recently: EDD 3rd Aug same as you @bakingabean Congratulations everyone on your BFPs. I unfortunately had 3 mcs last year at 5, 6 and 9 weeks. I'm driving myself crazy with worry now and I haven't told anyone else. So thought I'd post here for some positive thoughts.... :-)

EverythingNow · 26/11/2018 19:01

@chocolate89 yeah it's 12 and 20wk as standard here. I don't want to book a scan too early and see nothing and then worry but I think I must ve implanted reasonably early so does that mean I'll see something sooner on a scan? I think I'll try and book one in between Christmas and New year when I'll be 9weeks ish.

Totally agree re how a loss changes how you enjoy things. With my dc I took a test and hoped for the best, none of this multiple testing.

Felt sick today, peeing loads, and constantly checking AF isn't here!

SenoraSurf · 26/11/2018 21:42

4+2 and I'm soooooo bloated right now 😱 Im a size 6-8 and already feel like a flabby lump. Pretty sure I've put on weight this week as my clothes feel generally tighter. Feels like I'm a balloon that needs deflating x

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 21:53

@senorasurf I feel the same!

Ninunina · 26/11/2018 22:02

OMG! OMG OMG! Complete shock pregnancy over here. I have 2 DC (girls ages 7 and 4). I had the mirena removed last month and was due to start the pill when my period appeared. I had a bit of spotting a couple of days after the mirena was removed and have been waiting for AF ever since. I've had sore boobs for a few days and was getting worried that my period never arrived but I was feeling a dull ache I remember having when pg with DC1 & 2 . It suddenly dawned on me that I was pregnant. I dashed out to the supermarket after dinner (feeling quite queasy) with the excuse of needing to buy light bulbs. I just did the test and there is a light red line. Quite faint so it must be early on.
I'm in shock! I don't know what to tell DH. He was never keen on trying for a 3rd child. I was always torn. I would like another child but I worry about finances and stuff. I've literally started a new job at the beginning of the month, so timing is awful in that respect, but DH has just gotten promoted at work so finances may not be such an issue.
How am I going to tell DH??? I'm not good at keeping secrets, but I just don't know what to tell him! Funnily enough my little one wrote a letter to santa today asking for a baby...or twins...or triplets!!!!

BHillary · 26/11/2018 22:51

Got my BFP On FRER today It's clear as day but in the CBDigi it says not pregnant so guessing I'm too early .

EverythingNow · 27/11/2018 07:56

@ninunina I was in a similar situation with my dc3 so I can empathise. I was just quiet all day then blurted it out to DH in bed that night. He was shocked but supportive.

Good luck xx

@BHillary they're not as sensitive, how many dpo are you?

@senorasurf I feel the same things feel tight around my waist. I've lost a couple lb though through generally eating better thus week and not drinking. I did a lot of comfort eating while ttc!

EverythingNow · 27/11/2018 07:57

Welcome @unicorndust17

MimiDiddy · 27/11/2018 09:58

Can I tentatively join please? It looks like I'm preggers with DC2, AF's about a week late and I've been getting faint BFPs on cheap internet dipsticks, but I've got a history of recurrent miscarriage so who knows how sticky this bean will be. Anyway, I'm preggo for now and would like to chill out and enjoy it :)

Bakingabean · 27/11/2018 10:30

Hey @UnicornDust17 ! Sending you lots of positive thoughts!

Is anyone else getting horrific night sweats? I've been waking up drenched every night. It's hideous. That plus feeling nauseous. Ug.

Today is my fIrst day back at work after 6 weeks off due to injury -I'm still on crutches.. so this could have been better timed!

samsward87 · 27/11/2018 14:37

Joining! Got my bfp on Saturday, had another test Sunday and again yesterday! Gone a bit testing mad! They've all been faint but deffo positive!

I've been having serious night sweats! Woke up soaking last night, don't remember this in my last pregnancy!

Also, when are you guys planning to tell work? I wanna tell my boss (and only my boss) this week, just do he understands why I'm asleep at my desk sometimes!!!

Xx

Chocolate89 · 27/11/2018 15:09

Welcome @bakingabean @sunshine1987 @samsward87 @mimididdy @giraffe88 @bhilary @ninunia @unicorndust! Congrats to all! 💐❤

We all seem to be feeling v similar with the anxiety, so any tips or tricks with hope to get through these early weeks would be appreciated! I am still taking almost daily hpts 🙈🙈 i'm having so little in terms of symptoms that is so hard to believe i am pregnant !

Im going to wait until after xmas to tell work. I have an interview in 3 weeks for a promotion, so really don't want them to find out before then!

SullyWifey · 27/11/2018 15:50

Hello lovelies! So glad I found this.

So got my BFP yesterday at 11DPO was due AF Thursday.

Been having cramps on and off last few days but today they have upped their game and quite painful. Also have brown discharge now. Quite a bit.

Obviously so worried this will turn into CP.

Anyone else had cramps and brown discharge?

Oh baby please be sticky!!

Due 10th August xx

UnicornDust17 · 27/11/2018 16:13

Thanks for the welcome Flowers

Congrats to everyone else with BFPs.

The only real symptoms I've had are tender boobs (if I poke them Grin), really tired and crampy dull aches which I cant work out if they are good or bad.

Really weirdly, I've also woken up night sweats last two nights. Did not link the two ConfusedGrin

@sullywifey yes to the brown stuff. Sticky thoughts your way.... Flowers

MrsH1990 · 27/11/2018 17:38

Hi guys,

I've just got a BFP! Af due today!
So my due date would be 6th Aug
Had a bad MMC in June at 11.5 weeks and a very early one beg of sept.
So hoping little bean sticks 🙏🏻

Congratulations All! So happy to be on this journey with you all! Xxxx

Ninunina · 27/11/2018 18:02

Thanks for the welcome everyone
@EverythingNow I'm glad I'm not alone with the shock. Are you pregnant with DC4? I still haven't told DH and I'm quite worried about his reaction.
I did another test today to make sure I wasn't hallucinating yesterday. It's definitely a BFP. It showed up almost instantly & very clearly with FMU.
Not much in the way of symptoms so far except sore boobs, a bit of dizziness. There is a very slight hint of nausea. I had very bad sickness with my other two from very early on. Hopefully this time will be different.

EverythingNow · 27/11/2018 18:57

I feel properly sick again this afternoon and boobs are tender but I'm not sure if I'm just imaging it all.

@ninunina yes I'm pregnant with #4. This time planned and we've been ttc 19months. So from one extreme to another.

@chocolate89 I'm wondering what I can do to relax, outwardly I'm presenting as chilled but inwardly im worrying. I can't seem to relax until I've taken a test, which is so flipping ridiculous. This evenung at 14dpo I took a rapid results first response which are not that sensitive and the test line was darker than the control, so I should chill but I can't.
