@mrsof20118 I’m the same, I’m so scared to go for a poo! Google apparently says it’s normal to have a little spotting after pushing a poo x

Giraffe888 · 28/11/2018 13:05

Do you know what your hcg levels were @mrsof20118? X

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 14:23

@Giraffe888 585 on 15dpo and 2118 on 19dpo x

EverythingNow · 28/11/2018 16:31

Sorry I'm being thick but what does self refer mean?

Ninunina · 28/11/2018 18:43

According to the pregnancy app I downloaded I'm 4+5 weeks. I took a digital test today and it said 2-3 weeks (not using FMU). Does that sound right? I was expecting to see 1-2 weeks

EverythingNow · 28/11/2018 18:48

@Ninunina they're not exact but having researched because I got 2-3 at exactly 4wks this time (having got 1-2 at 4wks in my previous successful pregnancies) according to clearblue 2-3 weeks is 4-5 weeks pregnant so that sounds perfect for you.

Ninunina · 28/11/2018 18:56

That makes sense then @EverythingNow
It seems the test is more sensitive than they used to be. I remember having a BFP on first response but negative on a clear blue digital with my previous pregnancies.

EverythingNow · 28/11/2018 19:44

With dc3 I tested negative on a cbd a day before AF and positive 2 days later with a 1-2. But that was 8 years ago I expect they've improved since then!

Bakingabean · 28/11/2018 20:01

@everythingnow I just referred myself to my local hospital maternity service (I think!) by going online and filling in a form. Apparently I'll get an appointment letter in 7-10 days. No idea what appointment it's for though!

I've also booked a gp's appointment for the 14th. Again not really sure what I'm supposed to do but I figured it couldn't hurt to cover all my bases.. and just to add to my over caution I'm planning on trying to get a private early scan at 7 ish weeks as suggested by @mrsof20118

Bakingabean · 28/11/2018 20:03

@ninunina I got 2-3 on a cb digital at 4w+5 too. I'm planning on using the other one in the packet at the weekend hoping it should say 3+...

EverythingNow · 28/11/2018 20:31

@bakingabean ah I see! Here (according to GP website) you make a routine appointment, the GP then sends off for scan appointment and bloods. Then you make a MW Appointment to book in with them. I'm seeing the GP at 6wks, I couldn't get an appointment sooner.

I am going to book an early scan too. I'm just working out when/where. I really want to go asap at 7 weeks but that is literally the week before Xmas and if there's nothing there it will spoil Xmas. But I need to go before I go back to work in Jan because I want to tell them then even though I won't be 12wks til mid Jan.

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 20:49

I think the referral thing must be postcode specific. I just went on the local hospital website with details and they called me back within a few days for first group appointment to get the info back and then for the booking in appointment for bloods etc. Then i think they send you the first scan appointment. It's a bit overwhelming!

Bakingabean · 28/11/2018 20:55

@everythingnow the earliest appointment I could get was the 14th which makes me 7+2 that day. Thinking I might do a private scan the week after?

I think I might have to tell work early as I'm currently on a return to work programme after snapping a tendon so am in a big boot and on crutches- and my job is fairly physical. Embarrassingly I think everyone is going to work out I got knocked up while on sick leave and in a plaster cast...

MrsRyan15 · 28/11/2018 21:19

Hi everyone, congratulations to you all!

Very tentative about joining, but got our BFP on Sunday after 18 months of trying for our first. Due date 4th August.

Was in complete shock when two lines appeared and DH still doesn't quite believe me!

Already feeling quite anxious that it won't stick, hoping xmas will be a good distraction and I'll be at 12 weeks before I know it.

mrsof20118 · 29/11/2018 06:31

Congratulations and welcome @MrsRyan15

UnicornDust17 · 29/11/2018 07:05

Congratulations @MrsRyan15!

UnicornDust17 · 29/11/2018 07:08

I've booked an appointment with my GP in two weeks, earliest I could get. But given my history I think I might speak to the EPU and see if they'll do a viability scan earlier. This week seems to have taken a year Confused

MrsRyan15 · 29/11/2018 07:21

Thanks @mrsof20118 and @UnicornDust17 I know what you mean about the time dragging, I've only known for 4 days and it feels like forever!

Does anyone have any tips for getting through Xmas without telling people the real reason why you're not drinking?

milly2000 · 29/11/2018 07:24

I'd love to join please!

Due on my period tomorrow but took a couple of tests yesterday as I had a gut feeling and both a BFP.

Massive shock as it's happened really quickly.

I had a molar pregnancy a year ago so I'm hoping I'll be able to have and early scan to rule out this being another.

So worried something is going to go wrong in these first 12 weeks 😩

Congratulations to everyone else on this thread!!!

Noopey · 29/11/2018 07:51

Congratulations everyone. So happy for you all.
I tested last night. After 18 months of trying (with some dramatic late periods and having to go to hospital for scans at various stages) I’m pregnant! Almost didn’t believe it. Will be baby number 3. Due 5th August but I think I’ll end up with planned c-section end July. It’s totally doing to mess with our summer holiday plans but I’m so excited.

Now. To hide or reveal the news at Christmas? What are you going to do? x

UnicornDust17 · 29/11/2018 08:11

@MrsRyan15 if you're going to someone's offer to drive, if you're out buy your own drink and get one which looks like an alcoholic drink, if you're at home make the drinks and make yours non alcoholic Wink there is even non alcoholic prosecco now. Grin

UnicornDust17 · 29/11/2018 08:12

@Noopey if all goes to plan we'd tell immediate family at Xmas [santa] but only because they'd be the ones I'd tell if it didn't go to plan anyway Star

Fae1989 · 29/11/2018 08:34

Morning ladies

How is everyone? Just learned I’m pregnant! 4 weeks 2 days :)

I had a mc in June so a little anxious but trying to stay chilled! This will be my first baby.

@everythingnow - I’m considering the same, just to put my mind at rest if nothing else!

dragonmummy17 · 29/11/2018 08:45

Hi everyone I've found you all! Found out on Monday I'm due DC2. Due on either 4th or 7th depending on if I follow the nhs website which adjusts for short cycles, or the standard 28 days past last AF. Can't remember what the midwife did last time!
I'm feeling very bloated in the evening and occasional waves of nausea.

Can I ask what multi vitamins you take. Pregnacare made me feel very sick last time, so currently only taking folic acid.
Also, how much caffeine are you drinking? I hate decaff tea so trying to limit myself to only 2 cups of tea a day but it's hard!

MrsH1990 · 29/11/2018 10:11

@Fae1989

I am exactly same as you! MC June and 4wks+2!
Praying we have sticky beans cxx
