So I told DH tonight, and let's just say his reaction wasn't good! He is freaked out. He cried and said our lives are over. I never expected such a bad reaction if I'm honest. Hopefully he'll adjust to the idea. It is a huge shock for me, but my outlook is positive. I hope he comes round.

EverythingNow · 27/11/2018 22:02

@ninunina I'm sure he will. Hugs to you

sammi0805 · 27/11/2018 22:11

Hi guys,
I think I'm due 3rd August. This is my second, I've popped already and am feeling exhausted, nauseous, constantly hungry, and have bad stretching pains in my tummy.
Good luck to everyone!

Sric1994 · 27/11/2018 22:22

Congratulations everyone!
I’m due in august too, had my first very faint BFP on Sunday night. Took a digital last night which confirmed it. I’ve had two different dates given by apps, either 4th or 8th. So I have no idea! Xxx

UnicornDust17 · 27/11/2018 23:03

@Ninunina hopefully he will once he's over the initial shock?
Congrats @Sric1994 and @sammi0805 same due date and hopefully this will make it number 2 for me.

Ninunina · 28/11/2018 05:37

Thank you for the support @UnicornDust17 & @EverythingNow . I spent the night trying not to puke, I'm not sure if it's down to morning sickness or DH's reaction. I'm awfully queasy and dizzy this morning too. I have an interview this afternoon with a new company. I'm wondering if I should go. I only started at my current company at the beginning of the month. I accepted this interview since it's an industry I've been trying to get into for a while, but now I'm feeling like yet another change will be too much.

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 06:44

@SullyWifey I had the brown discharge too it stopped last week. I had blood tests and hcg levels were increasing so fingers crossed.

Feeling tired and needing to pee a bit more and boobs more sensitive but not unberable but no sickness yet. I am 5 weeks today. Anyone else not had sickness yet?!

sunshine1987 · 28/11/2018 06:52

@mrsof20118 I’ve been googling and it says it’s normal for it not to kick in until 6 weeks. To be honest i have sore boobs and get cramps/bloated in the evenings but if it wasn’t for that positive test I wouldn’t really believe I was pregnant. I don’t feel anymore tired than usual and no sickness. Had to check it was ok at this point xx

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 07:23

@sunshine1987 likewise. How far gone are you now?

sunshine1987 · 28/11/2018 07:26

@mrsof20118 only 4+2, still really early days for me. Need to think about self referring but still doesn’t feel real 🙈

SullyWifey · 28/11/2018 07:59

@mrsof20118 that's reassuring that's it's normal so thank you.

Girls I feel so tried! Just want to close my eyes all the time! Apart from that boobs are better unless I prod them. And nausea comes in waves, but I don't know whether I'm just imagining that if you know what I mean!

Xxx

Bakingabean · 28/11/2018 08:17

@mrsof20118 I'm 5 weeks today too!

Is anyone planning on getting an early scan? I haven't had any previous losses or any reason to suggest I need one except my massive internal anxiety. I don't think I can wait till January for the 12 week one.

Yesterday I felt so sick in the morning. The only thing that helped was half a can of Diet Coke. Oh and salt and vinegar crisps in the afternoon. My body is a temple and all that!

UnicornDust17 · 28/11/2018 08:20

@Ninunina good luck with your interview, at least if you go you'll have options even if you decide not to go for it in the end? Hope your DH is a little better today?

@SullyWifey @mrsof20118 no sickness/nausea here but think I'm only 4+4 so still really early. Didn't join the MN thread until after 5 weeks last time! Confused

Giraffe888 · 28/11/2018 08:53

@mrsof20118 you’re a day behind me, I feel a bit sick this morning for the first time. Everywhere I’ve read says it kicks in at 7 weeks!

I had a tiny bit of blood when I wiped yesterday morning (after pushing for a poo!!!) so went to the docs for bloods and back tomorrow for more.

If you don’t mind me asking what was your blood like? X

UnicornDust17 · 28/11/2018 09:08

@MimiDiddy fingers crossed firmly here for you for a sticky one. I also have reoccurring mcs so am in a similar situation. Sad just taking each day as it comes....

UnicornDust17 · 28/11/2018 09:11

@Giraffe888 fingers crossed and sticky thoughts for you :-) was it red or brown?

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 09:13

@Giraffe888 I was so nervous to poo after I kept getting the brown spotting. Prenatal vitamins seem to be giving me an icky tummy though. 585 at 15dpo and 2118 at 19dpo. Think I've got those dates right anyway .
I feel quite shaky now this morning...maybe start of my sickness! Sooo hungry x

mrsof20118 · 28/11/2018 09:15

@Bakingabean I had already booked in for a scan around 7 weeks as I wanted to be sure I saw a heartbeat and not have that uncerctainty if I was wrong with dates and too early. My gp has also referred me for an early scan next week. Luck of the draw with this gp as with early mc in September they were not too helpful. X

sunshine1987 · 28/11/2018 09:15

Who knew so much anxiety could exist after that positive 🙈

Ninunina · 28/11/2018 09:17

@UnicornDust17 DH seemed more calm this morning. He told me he is worried that he won't love his child because it wasn't planned. He is also upset because our family is currently in a really happy place. We were enjoying our time with older children that don't need us every for absolutely everyone. We were sleeping at night for the first time in years. We were also planning a long haul trip to Thailand. I understand where he is coming from because I was enjoying having that side of our lives back too. But..he is a great dad and I know he'll love this child. I know he will be ok. He will get there eventually.

Vicola · 28/11/2018 09:36

Me too! Absolutely knackered and very queasy which is not an advantage when my job requires me to drive two hours plus per day and sit and interview clients all day. It’s brutal. Hope yours improves soon. Have you had the raging hormones yet? On Sunday we had to change the TV channel because a David Attenborough documentary about lions was making me cry. David Attenborough. If this is what it’s like at 5-6 weeks then we’re in for a very interesting time further down the line...

Ninunina · 28/11/2018 10:29

Just to give a bit of reassurance to those seeing some brown spotting. I had a couple bleeds when pregnant with DD1 and everything was absolutely fine. It was a very anxious time since I had a mc before, but apparently it's more normal than you'd think.

IrishCypriot · 28/11/2018 10:42

Welcome to everyone new who has joined!

I am loving the phrase 'sticky thoughts' - very sweet. though I've never suffered a MC, I know lots of people who have and I'm sure that sentiment would mean a lot to them now (3 people I know pregnant again with rainbow babies) so I am stealing it.

@Ninunina Sorry to hear about DH reaction. If it helps my DH shrugged and went 'ok I'm hungry' - not what I was expecting - then 2 days later got on board with the whole thing. Think men just need more time to process than we do??

I am only 4+4 but self referred to the hospital already. Haven't heard a peep from them and I also work here (different dept!) so I'm a bit p-d off. Am I being too funny about it?

IrishCypriot · 28/11/2018 10:47

Argh because I'm on mobile app I can't look back at thread whilst typing reply, so always forget to say something..

@sunshine1987 - I was anxious before but by god I am just a big ball of nerves now!! For example: It was heavily raining this morning where I am. Perched on a bench to sort my bag out. Two minutes later, I fear the worst cos I'm all wet down there and can't figure out why! Blush

@Vicola - symptoms for me started at 3 weeks! So I'm hoping as I've started them early, I'll be finished by 6, haha.

Have a good day all xx

sunshine1987 · 28/11/2018 10:56

@ninunina I think men take a bit longer to come around, once the shocks worn off and he sees the bubba on a scan then it’ll all come together xx
@irishcypriot everytime I goto the toilet I feel even more anxious, roll on 12 weeks lol then maybe we’ll all be less mental xx
