Have good rest today @Ninunina @UnicornDust17 @tri2mum

Hi, sorry iv not managed to post much as so busy, little girls bday today and so close to xmas etc! I hope those who are having a worrying time get positive answers.

I'm having a wobble... I should have just stopped testing but I had loads of IC left, and bought a couple of clear blue indicators because they reassured me in my last pregnancy that hcg was going up as it should. But my IC aren't getting any darker and I did a clear blue at 14dpo that said 1-2, was expecting 2-3 as I know I implanted fairly early as got a bfp at 9dpo. But figured I was just 2 weeks so that was probably OK. Iv done another today 16dpo (I was going to save it for 5 weeks 🙄 I have no restraint and iv just wasted another fiver!!) and its still 1-2.. I know I'm def 4+2 weeks so should be showing 2-3. I know they aren't that accurate, and that it's still positive so I should just accept that... And Im a midwife!! I should know better, I know my advice to a patient would be "you are pregnant" step away from the tests! But I can't undo it now!

Someone talk sense to me. I will probably bug another pack now at £12 a pop because I won't be able to just accept that result. But Im definitely going to wait until after I'm 5 weeks, if it's still not gone up I know something is wrong. If it is a miscarriage il accept that, I'm quite rational and know its very early. It's just the not knowing of all is well that I hate about this stage of pregnancy. Thanks for listening to my ramble. I'm going to go and have a lovely day with my girlie for her birthday x

KMic · 15/12/2018 08:37

@Sunnydays321 ... you've answered your own question! Calm down!! Haha.

I think the clear blue are based on implantation dates, that's probs why it's showing up as 1-2 when you are actually 4. Your first test you probably caught at a very early stage. No point in wasting money on another test - esp if you're not bleeding or anything. Nothing's changed! You're fine.

I have a similar mild worry in that I have had no symptoms the last couple of days. They just seem to have stopped! But I'm not going to panic, I'm not bleeding or anything, i might just be one of the lucky ones! (So far anyway!! I won't speak too soon!!!)

Go and enjoy your daughters birthday xx

newmumma2019 · 15/12/2018 08:56

@Sunnydays321 I did this also and thankfully was calmed and reassured by posts eg sample being more diluted etc depending on time of day. Waited few days as I'm so impatient and tested again and it changed. Plus I got told to step away from the weeks indicator by another midwife as they don't like them but you'll know that. Hope all is well and have a fun day partying with your daughter Smile

My due date is on the 19th. Has anyone else's symptoms stopped? Feeling quite anxious.Confused

avacadooo · 15/12/2018 11:04

@KMic online tells me I'm due 12th too!

dragonmummy17 · 15/12/2018 11:24

@UnicornDust17 hope today goes ok
@tri2mum thinking of you and sending positive thoughts
@Ninunina sorry you are still having a difficult time
Welcome to all the new people

dragonmummy17 · 15/12/2018 11:27

I was in quite close contact with a child with hand, foot and mouth yesterday. NHS website says risk to pregnancy if I got it because it can cause a high fever therefore chance of a miscarriage. It says contact midwife or GP but I'm not sure why... they can't really do anything? Is it just a case of wait and see?

JenMumma · 15/12/2018 11:40

Congratulations October girl.
Hope everybody is ok x x
I'm feeling dizzy today, kind of little dainty head rushes. It's actually not unpleasant Grin
What's everyone upto ? Weather here is miserable so it's left over takeaway and films with my 11 yr old. My fella has gone to get sports bras, my boobs are making me (more) evil. Coffee (my fave) is giving me heartburn ffs x x x

JenMumma · 15/12/2018 11:41

Dragon mummy that's crazy, have you had a little look online ?? I'd be interested to know how you're getting on Smile

Chocolate89 · 15/12/2018 11:48

@jummybean symptoms come and go, that's v normal! I would try not to worry and just enjoy the break!
@sundaydays321 absolutely stop taking tests! Once you are pregnant you are pregnant! They do not tell you how the pregnancy is progressing! When i had my mc in July, i was still getting strong bfps 3 weeks after. Your urine can change the dilution of hcg, so line progression isn't v accurate! Just try to sit tight and maybe if you are still worried get your bloods done and a repeat to see it is rising!
@dragonmummy it is prob just so they can tell you signs and symptoms to watch out for! You poor thing, not what you need!
@octobergirl congratulations and I'm sorry to hear about your loss ❤ fingers crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months! Xx

dragonmummy17 · 15/12/2018 11:52

@JenMumma I think it's the fever that's the greatest risk. Hopefully I'm already immune! I washed my hands straight away too. Guess we will find out in a few days!

OctoberGirl91 · 15/12/2018 12:24

Thanks @Chocolate89 I hope so too! Might start driving you all madd trying stay positive and take it day by day xx

JenMumma · 15/12/2018 12:33

Awwwww fingers crossed dragonmummy !!!!! SmileSmile x x x October girl it would be really hard to drive the already insane, hormone fuelled nutters on here any more mad hee hee 😉

ScotsBaby2 · 15/12/2018 12:51

@dragonmummy17 I would keep an eye on your temperature and shovel down the paracetamol if it rises. HFMD seems to be really bad in some adults. Good luck!

We have stocked up on essentials (ie toilet roll as we had ZERO!!) and now home trying to get a small human to nap.

MummaGiles · 15/12/2018 16:20

Very reassuring to see on here that others’ symptoms have stopped!

KMic · 15/12/2018 16:32

@MummaGiles massively reassuring!! Had nothing today other than a bit of tiredness!

MummaGiles · 15/12/2018 16:57

I’m getting very occasional mild cramps but no where near what I was having even earlier in the week. This is DC number 2 but it’s nearly 5 years since I’ve been through early pregnancy so I can’t really remember what it was like in terms of how quickly things changed.

canonlyhopexo · 15/12/2018 17:17

How are you @tri2mum been thinking of you.

My symptoms don't appear to be stopping or slowing! Still got ridiculous nausea with no actual vomiting, absolutely massive very sore boobs and going for a no. 2 at least twice a day and really smells which genuinely does not usually smell! Sorry for TMI hope no one is eating their tea 😬 is anyone finding the exhaustion is as soon as they wake up and it's not always easy to nap in the day so you just don't really know what to do with yourself!?

DT1390 · 15/12/2018 17:18

Hi guys hopefully if I can get though to 12 weeks will be due 4th Aug GrinGrinGrin1st baby and OH is really excited and being so sweet Smile had a burst cyst on the 5 week freaked me out I was in such pain thought that was it but had an early scan and they could see the sac and a little dot which is the baby having another scan on the 20th soooooo excited!!!

avacadooo · 15/12/2018 17:30

@canonlyhopexo I feel constant nausea and I'm starting to wish I could just throw up for some relief! My boobs kept waking me up last night they were that sore but I've starting sleeping with a sports bra which is helping a bit.

Does anybody else want to do really weird things? Like I saw raw chicken in my fridge and I really wanted to lick it 😂 just cause it looked nice and cold, obviously didn't but it was tempting 😂😂
Of out for dinner with Dh's whole family tonight so wish me luck!

canonlyhopexo · 15/12/2018 17:33

@avacadooo that's exactly how I feel I just want to be sick to get it over with and hoping it would release it! How are you finding that at work? I've got a cotton crop type comfy bra I've worn which has really helped so going to get some more.
Can't say I've wanted to lick chicken yet 😂 bless ya maybe try ice cubes!

MummaGiles · 15/12/2018 17:37

1657 I write on here about my symptoms slowing down.
1737 I am lying on my bed with a hot water bottle having popped some paracetamol because the big menstrual type cramps are back and fierce

avacadooo · 15/12/2018 17:38

@canonlyhopexo I've been signed off work cause of my blood pressure so I'm quite lucky right now not having to deal with it there anymore but last week I struggled through work trying not to move 😂

Dh bought me rocket ice lollies which I had instead of my chicken 😂😂😂
