Thank you!

Lynsey19 · 26/08/2018 18:13

Hi everyone Grin Due Jan 6th x

beccii161016 · 26/08/2018 18:33

Hope everyone is well Smile

Just out of interest, has anyone felt their little ones move yet? I started feeling tiny kicks and movements the other day! Took me by surprise at 17 weeks but it's DC2 I guess!

I forgot how much I love the second trimester compared to the first 😂

cryptonaut · 26/08/2018 19:21

I've been feeling something from about 16 weeks (now 19+4) but only really low in the pelvis area. Was told at my scan this past week that I have an anterior placenta but it's quite high, it would explain why I haven't felt anything any higher than that yet despite seeing on the scan quite clearly that the legs are right up near by belly button area at the moment.

Looking forward to when DH will be able to feel the movement with me, he's started holding my stomach when we cuddle, it's really sweet :)

GinGeum · 26/08/2018 19:31

I had a week or so of fluttery feelings from 17 weeks, and then it’s just progressively got more kicky since Grin DH can feel them from the outside now and I can see my belly move with them. I’m 20+5 now

doleritedinosaur · 26/08/2018 19:49

Thanks for the new thread!

I’ve been feeling movement since ten weeks but this being my third I know what I’m feeling now & this one is my most active baby yet!
If I sit down they roll & OH has felt some movement at night.
Been feeling proper kicks for over a week now.

From the last thread sorry about your situation @beccii is there anything you can apply for? Also councils give out paper bonds if you struggle to make the deposit yourself.

Tiredness is hitting at different parts of the day at the moment but trying to get out as much as possible while DS1 is off Nursery.

Oh with feeling big wise, yoga helps with keeping me flexible but I am definitely getting larger. All the groups we go to start back in September so will confirm
I’m definitely pregnant.
I’ve already had a few was it planned? & no, they’re not but the unhelpful comments don’t help especially when it’s taking me a very long time to accept I’m pregnant. Sorry that was a bit of a rant!

Hope everyone had a good weekend & didn’t get washed out by the rain today.

StripesAndSpots1 · 26/08/2018 19:56

Hi, can I join 18+4 due 23rd Jan, eeeeek!

I'm so tired, when is the glowy stage going to arrive?!
I seem to have a proper bump, I swear I didn't get one til much later with DD, although that was 7 years ago. Feeling like a first timer!

Curlypop · 26/08/2018 20:13

Shiny new threads. Thanks x

Wowthisisreal · 26/08/2018 22:36

First baby but been feeling movements since 15 weeks and today felt my first proper kick! Was gutted Hubby wasn't there to feel it too. I'm 18+3 today!

sexnotgender · 26/08/2018 22:39

Sorry been AWOL.

Definitely feeling movement now, DH felt it the other day.

Westieandlittleboymama · 27/08/2018 00:10

Hi ladies. Can I hop on? I'm due feb 4th with 2nd child (have DS, now having DD). Feeling some flutters- I'm 17 weeks

Bunintheoven88 · 27/08/2018 06:14

Hey everybody, can I join too? I'm 19+6 with first, due jan 14th. Have 20 week scan on Tuesday, super excited, but also worried we will cave and ask to know the sex of bean 🙈 Has anybody else found out last minute when they were adamant they weren't going to? X

littlebug19 · 27/08/2018 09:21

Hi,

I'm 20+2 and definitely starting to feel much more movement now. Finally halfway!

Jigglyjugs · 27/08/2018 09:27

Hi, just spotted this one ... so bad at keeping up with threads!! I can feel him roll but not really kick, I just Get a heavy, 'swollen' sensation when he moves. Seems to like using my bladder as a punching bag Hmm.

purplesmiler · 27/08/2018 09:36

Morning all and happy bank holiday.

I'm jealous of you all feeling movements I'm 17+5 today. It hard to know if it's movements or just my belly lol.

jennac · 27/08/2018 09:48

Hi all!

I'm 21+6 and feeling movements regularly now (although some day it's quieter than others! This morning being a particularly quiet one!) all very exciting and really does wonders for reassurance. Had 20 week scan last week and all good, so that should be last scan now 🤞 I have got a bump but it's quite small and compact; not really noticing any extra weight of it at this stage but I'm sure that will change! Loving my skinny maternity jeans from H&M!

Merrz · 27/08/2018 10:28

Hi, checking into the new thread before i loose you all! I'm going to try and keep up with this thread better, hi to the newbies

I think i felt movements for the 1st time last night, it's really hard to explain how it feels isn't it but i got up for a pee in the middle of the night and when i got back into bed it felt like something rolled in my lower abdomen then a couple of minutes later felt like bubbles popping, i'm 19 + 3.
20 week scan next week and i'm so nervous about it, more than i was for the 12 week, can't wait for it to be here and hopefully find out everything is okay.

@GinGeum know what you mean about people, i'm one of the last ones out of my family and friends to have a baby and i'm so sick of everyone telling me everything, it feels so patronising sometimes, i actually feel like telling them to fuck off! The annoying thing is everyone tells you things as if this WILL happen and baby WILL need this/do this but everyone tells me different things so there is clearly no set in stone what will/won't happen, i think every baby and every mum is different and everyone just needs to find what works for them.

Cali13 · 27/08/2018 14:30

Hi I'm due 29 January! So I'm just coming up to 18 weeks. No movements yet but like with number 1, I've no real bump ATM! Good luck ladies

Buttercup53 · 27/08/2018 20:54

What are you guys doing - if anything - to document your pregnancies? I’m 21 weeks now and feel like if I’m going to do something I need to start soon, but I don’t know what! I hated the first trimester so much that I just wanted to get through it without a fuss, but over the last few weeks I’ve wanted to do more to really memorialise this time in my life. I’m never going to have a first pregnancy again after all. I’m terrible at selfies and don’t actually have a full length mirror, and I don’t have the kind of friends who take pictures of one another. In a strange turn of events I’m contemplating trying to persuade my husband we should have a maternity photo shoot even though it’s not my usual style at all. Do you guys have any ideas? Also doesn’t help that nothing fits me now either so I feel a bit of a mess...

Westieandlittleboymama · 27/08/2018 21:34

@Bunintheoven88 I had an early gender scan at 16 weeks and we're having a girl. I love knowing with my DS1- could prepare, but everyone's different.

I know what u mean. This will be my last pregnancy and I want to enjoy it and remember everything- so have the photo shoot!!

cryptonaut · 27/08/2018 22:09

@Buttercup53 if you wanna do the shoot then check Wowcher or GroupOn for bump to baby shoots, they usually include two shoots (1 maternity and 1 newborn) and a couple of prints so can save quite a bit of money. You could also ask your husband to take a photo for you, most pregnancy apps I've found have an option for journal entries including adding pics. You could record it there maybe. There are also plenty of pregnancy journals available on Amazon, I bought one but not much for journals so it's quite empty lol

Bunintheoven88 · 27/08/2018 22:41

Ahhhhh congratulations Westie!
Has anybody had any Braxton Hicks pains yet? I'm having bad cramping when I move around and I can't tell whether it's just really bad wind or BH? 🤔

doleritedinosaur · 27/08/2018 23:03

@Buttercup I just take bump photos in the bathroom mirror or when out & about. Or OH takes them.

@Bunintheoven88 Braxtons are more the whole bump. Almost like period pains except the bump goes hard & tightens.
That sounds like ligament pain & stretching as getting used to size of womb especially as it’s when you move.

Also I don’t regret not finding out with second, it was nice to find out at the birth & seeing which old wives tales were true or not haha.

First we had no choice in finding out as first shot was of his balls Grin.

Had an absolutely awful day of being exhausted & terrible headache, so ended up having a 2 hour nap. Hope these don’t happen regularly.

Kate123cl · 27/08/2018 23:06

Hello again allSmile I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and have only felt gas type movements but have been told I have an anterior placenta so maybe that's why? I'm not sure I'm even showing properly yet, just looking a bit chubby on the belly! This is my first. Anyone else feeling that they're not looking very pregnant? Sad
