I'm 10-11DPO and just had BFP on a digital. I know it's incredibly early but looking at a due date March 3rd 2019!

Hello everyone,

Can I cautiously join this thread?!

A miracle has occurred in my life. I have a (naturally conceived) almost 9 year old. Lots of complications with her birth which resulted in a broken right tube and lots of scar tissue. Somewhere along the line i’ve also developed PCOS, and I don’t ovulate regularly... Cue 4 years of infertility hell. Investigations, months of clomid, 3 operations, 2 rounds of IVF (1st was miscarriage, second didn’t work) I have just paid for a full second cycle, and low and behold I have been caught naturally. I am in unbelievable shock and praying all is well. I DESPERATELY want this baby! I carry so much guilt that my daughter doesn’t have a sibling.

If all goes well (although I have period pains right now) I will be due in March.

The test on the top is from Sat, the bottom one is from today. Can you see a difference? I took a stupid clearblue test yesterday and it only said 1-2 weeks conception, but I know i’m slightly over that, so i’m really scared!

I go in for a scan tomorrow, just to check it’s not ectopic.

Due March 2019

@VillageFete what a lovely outcome to your story.

I can see a difference it's much darker!

I don't know if
You know but you're supposed to add 2 weeks to your clear blue test result apparently as it goes from conception whereas you go from first day of last period, I hope that helps? Xx

cardboard33 · 23/07/2018 13:32

@assumeitwassomethingclever I went to the GP today... Thought that's what one was supposed to do until I read on here about people self referring! Oopps. Our case is complex though as I'm in the system for long term health issues so we've always known we will be classed as high risk and as a consequence we had fertility tests at the 3 month mark. She said that she'd send it through as an urgent referral given our background and hopefully we would be seen quicker... I really want an early scan!!

I was also feeling like I was coming on my period over the weekend, although it seems to have stopped now.

myotherbagisgucci · 23/07/2018 13:36

@cardboard33 you can ring the EPU at your local hospital and request an early scan. They'll probably ask why, but if you briefly explain your history, they'll give you one.

VillageFete · 23/07/2018 13:37

Baby160P I only had sex twice this month (6th and 7th which was day 19 and 20 of cycle) So I must have conceived just over 2 weeks ago? Who knows, but I just pray these period aches i’m having now are nothing to worry about. They aren’t pains as such, more like an uncomfortable ache I get before period comes. So scared!

cardboard33 · 23/07/2018 13:43

@villagefete congratulations!! That's certainly a vote for perseverance on your family's part!

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 14:18

@VillageFete

We did our tests (clear blue) 22nd June and one said 1-2 (not first thing in the morning) and a few said 2-3. This was 4 weeks and 4 days ago.

We went private to check all is well which said we're now 9+4 which means when we did the test we were 5.

You could be 3?

Not sure if I'm helping or not but those tests are confusing xx

rosemcn · 23/07/2018 14:38

Thanks so much ladies! Will be trying all your suggestions!

Rach93x · 23/07/2018 14:48

Had to call into work sick today, morning sickness at an all time low Sad I cant seem to keep anything down today about from water. Have my first midwife appointment tomorrow. I assume the midwife books me in for a scan following this?

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 14:55

@Rach93x I think it depends on your area. We got a letter with an appointment through maybe a day before our MW app.

Jodie1122334 · 23/07/2018 15:19

@Rach93x I called in sick today too - sorry to hear you're suffering but in a way I'm glad to know it's not just me and that my symptoms are normal!

I'm mostly struggling with extreme exhaustion at the moment. I normally suffer with fatigue anyway due to my MH issues - the pregnancy combined with lack of energy from coming off my antidepressants means that my exhaustion levels are just skyrocketing. Plus caffeine withdrawal isn't helping I imagine!

Morning sickness wise I've just had mild nausea.

Spent a good hour on the loo at 1am last night - is anyone else finding the pregnancy is sending your bowel movements wild?!

Jodie1122334 · 23/07/2018 15:21

Congratulations @VillageFete and fingers crossed all is well for you and your scan tomorrow!

Jealous of all you early scanners - mine is booked for aug 1st when I will be 6+5, I literally cannot wait!!!

Heebyjeeby99 · 23/07/2018 15:29

Hi all! Just joining this chat as I recently got my BFP and have a due date of March 2019. Have an early scan booked for 2 weeks when I'll be 7 weeks exactly...counting down the days. So far no symptoms apart from being a bit tired and PMS type achy boobs. Just praying everything is ok.

Good luck all!

TurquoiseWeekend · 23/07/2018 15:39

I'm off sick today too. Went in this morning and the office was already 29 degrees at 8.30. I made it through an hour and the heat in there was making my sickness unbearable. Bought some ice lollies on the way home and am sat in front of the fan eating them.

Rach93x · 23/07/2018 15:56

Feel so sorry for us all! Especially dealing with it in this weather. Constanly sitting in front of the fan haha! - fingers crossed it passes soon!

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 16:25

@Jodie1122334 I've came off anti depressants also. My moods are not good! It's either that or pregnancy hormones. And yes the fatigue is real!!

@Villagefete many congratulations delighted for you. There'll be a 6 year gap between this one and DS. Glad he will finally have a sibling. Im also getting aches and cramping down there hopefully a good sign.

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 16:36

Our GP like you to confirm with them then they refer you for your booking in appointment and scan. (There is an online self referral form too). You then contact the health centre to see the community midwife. I seen the midwife today. It was basically a courtesy appointment. She took date of LMP and took my blood pressure which was good. She gave me a few empty urine tubes for future appointments. She went over food you should and shouldn't eat plus vitamins and that was me on my way!! She did say the outpatients hospital that do the booking in appointment usually carry it out at 10 weeks so 2 weeks less to wait for that!

VillageFete · 23/07/2018 16:42

@Angelmiracle - Congratulations! How far gone are you? I think i’m 5 weeks today. I’m really bloated and uncomfortable today, getting aches on and off.

Baby16 Thanks, it makes sense. I was just desperate to see 2-3 weeks, but don’t think i’ll bother with them tests anymore.

Thanks all for the well wishes. I’m over the moon

Jodie1122334 · 23/07/2018 17:49

@Rach93x my boyfriend keeps reminding me 'it'd be worse if you were huge in this heat!' .... I guess he's right. I'd rather be putting up with this heat not in 3rd trimester when you have the additional body weight!!

Ice lollies in front of a fan sounds sooo good! We've got two Dyson fans in our bedroom (one on each side ) and we're STILL struggling in this heat. I went up to check the bedroom earlier and the thermostat said 31 degrees.... tonight is gonna be hard 😩

Jodie1122334 · 23/07/2018 17:52

@Angelmiracle oh really? Have you recently come off them? I've only come off them because of the bean in my belly, I was really stable so a bit anxious that coming off them might send me spiralling, but fingers crossed so far the only thing I've felt is absolutely shattered!!

Hope you're doing okay, here if you need a chat x

HRoseB · 23/07/2018 18:10

Hi everyone, I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant 4+2 worked out through the NHS calculator I'm due 30th March. I'm very excited but just so emotional. I burst into tears when I found out and still keep crying. I can hardly eat and I'm just so anxious and worried about being sick a silly phobia I have but I just can't help it. I've been fine in myself before I knew just quite tired and VERY bloated. I'm uncomfortably bloated now I can't wait for that to pass.

This is my first baby, I'm 26 and can't help but worry and feel very emotional like I won't be able to do it. I have wanted this for a long time but now it's real I'm honestly so scared and my anxiety has got so bad. I'm hoping to get a GP appointment to talk about how I'm feeling and to see if there's anything I'm allowed to take that will calm me down and reduce this worried sick feeling. Has anyone else felt or feeling like this?

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 19:01

@HRoseB congratulations hun! Bless you feeling so worried. The increase in hormones don't help right now if you are anxious at being pregnant. I had DS at 26 and had a lovely pregnancy. I have a lot of other crap going on at the time so I started seeing counsellor when I started my 2nd trimester right up to the birth. I must say I really enjoyed going to the sessions and I cried a lot but she helped me rationalise things too.

Now in my 2nd pregnancy I had been on antidepressants which I stopped taking now so I am trying to stay relaxed, get great support on these boards and I'm using Rescue Remedy whether it does anything I don't know! Good luck.

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 19:04

@Jodie1122334 yeah began weaning off them in June and this month one every 3rd day so after BFPS last week I'm off them completely. So far so good no anxiety! Although I'm so grumpy right now I'll blame it on hormones! Thanks hun you too x

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 19:09

@VillageFete thanks! Im 5+1 due 24th! Are you due 25th? My birthdays 2 days before!! Yes lots of bloating had cramping yesterday evening. Boobs began feeling ok but now so heavy and sore! But have to say it's reassuring! I hope your scan goes brilliantly 😊

VillageFete · 23/07/2018 19:18

HroseB Your hormones will be everywhere and totally exacerbating things. You aren’t alone love, it’s a really emotional journey. X

AngelMiracle I think i’m 5 weeks today, as my last bleed was 18th June, but it was a failed IVF bleed. I only had sex a couple of times (6th and 7th July) So could only have conceived then! So not sure exactly how i’d calculate it? I’m just so bloated today and am not peeing much which is worrying? I usually pee constantly! Even when not preggers.
