I'm 10-11DPO and just had BFP on a digital. I know it's incredibly early but looking at a due date March 3rd 2019!

@TheWanderlust I literally love it, we have had 2 because I'm anxious but now we're 9+3 I feel a lot happier seeing all is well.

@Baby160P that looks so clear!! I just want to see my baby nowwwwww 😍

I'm also experiencing a lot of anxiety at the moment which isn't unusual so feel like I need to find some kind of reassurance.

Baby160P · 22/07/2018 15:09

@TheWanderlust it was a internal scan as it's much more clear that way at this stage.

I'd definitely recommend it xx

Jodie1122334 · 22/07/2018 15:39

Ive booked my early scan for 6+5. Fingers crossed it's not too early to see the heartbeat!

TurquoiseWeekend · 22/07/2018 15:58

Had my early scan this morning, she confirmed I'm 8+2 and due on 1st March. We saw the heart beating away and it was so lovely.

@Baby160P aw congrats what a beautiful scan!

@TurquoiseWeekend congratulations that's a lovely scan!

You ladies are definitely tempting me into booking an early one too 😊

AtHe5292 · 22/07/2018 16:45

@TheWanderlust where did you go for early scan?

AtHe5292 · 22/07/2018 16:46

Sorry I meant @Baby160P where did you go for Early scan?

cardboard33 · 22/07/2018 17:54

Cool!! Where are you having it? Or haven't you decided yet? Yep, gonna be a long August for us too...!!

Anxiousannie18 do you get the northern line? That's gotta be the worst tube line.. or central! I've apparently got cysts (we both had fertility tests done after a couple of months of trying as we are already in the system for non related fertility things) and they said it then. GP said it wasn't something I needed to worry about as they weren't PCOS and I don't have any of the other signs.. apparently over a third of women have them, particularly if you've recently come off the pill as I have done, and they vary in size/shape/volume throughout your cycle.

TopsyTurvyK29 · 22/07/2018 21:48

@purpleflower1983 I'm 8+2 too 😁

PurpleFlower1983 · 22/07/2018 22:17

Lovely scans guys! I’m so happy for all of us!

Baby160P · 22/07/2018 22:27

@AtHe5292 to a place Called window to the womb. I believe it's a franchise xx

rosemcn · 23/07/2018 00:31

Been reading everyone’s posts but been nervous to put anything up myself...

I’m 7+3, and I had a missed miscarriage in April so feeling very apprehensive. This pregnancy couldn’t be more different, I seem to have symptoms in the bucket load this time which is giving me some hope. But I’ve booked an early scan for a week tomorrow because I can’t bare the idea of waiting to 13 weeks to know what’s going on...

Just wondering how people are coping with morning (more like all day) sickness? I am really struggling. Feel like total crap all the time, throwing up quite a lot - not every day but the days I do throw up it’s like 8 times. Any tips??

PurpleFlower1983 · 23/07/2018 06:44

I try and eat really regularly. I’ve given up on big meals now and just have things throughout the day when the sickness starts.

Anxiousannie18 · 23/07/2018 08:00

@rosemcn yeah it’s a nightmare! As @purpleflower1983 said I think eating little and often is key and going for bland foods when you can’t stomach much.

I haven’t had any cravings yet but have had real aversions to some foods - mostly foods that I had in early pregnancy when I was feeling particularly sick, which has put me off them!

@cardboard33 yes I do get the northern line - it’s a nightmare! Especially with all the work at Kennington at the moment Hmm Thanks for that about the cysts, that’s reassuring. I’ve done a bit of googling (bad idea, I know) and it does seem to be common, just something to monitor.

Has anyone had period pain like cramping? Apart from that and having to pee quite a lot, I'm pretty symptom free.

angel0071987 · 23/07/2018 09:19

I finally rang children's centre to self book midwife booking appointment and it is shut for the week!! But luckily just within catchment it another one so called them. And given fact that I was told not to ring until 6weeks (which I am today) and that I wouldn't get appointment till about 8-10weeks. She said on phone it had to be between 6-8weeks so have got appointment on Friday morning. Glad I rang them. Just feels more real when it's officially linked to midwifes.

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 09:22

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I had a lot of cramping in my uterus yesterday it was really starting to scare me! Thankfully it has gone now. Bit gassy today thinking that was the cause of it?!

itsheapsswell · 23/07/2018 10:42

Hi everyone,

I presume my story is a little different to everyone else but I've enjoyed reading through all your posts!

I am 5+1 today with my 1st! I'm due on March 24th (self calculated, but because of long cycles I've based it not on my last period but the date of conception), exactly one week before my 24th birthday! I got my BFP on 11/07 which would have been 3+3/10dpo. The CB dating test said 1-2 weeks pregnant at this point, which fits!

Originally I had an A-word booked for 31st July (due to the fact my partner and I have only been together 2 months!!!), but since then I have had a change of heart. He is incredibly supportive and we both knew from day 1 we had met someone we wanted to be with forever. I'm considering keeping the appointment booked in order to be able to make use of the counselling given at the service and to be able to have a scan (4 years ago I had a miscarriage, and I am very paranoid about that this time around!).

It's really important to me that everyone in our circles get really excited about the possibility of a baby (my friends already have, working on the family...) and so I've come on here to get in the spirit and soak up the atmosphere/excitement!

Symptoms: I have had sore boobs since day 1, but as the days have gone on they have become MASSIVE and excruciatingly tender, especially in the middle of the night! Nausea started straight after I attended a baby shower when 4+6 and abnormal tiredness comes and goes.

Look forward getting to know everyone!

itsheapsswell · 23/07/2018 10:44

@Angelmiracle Nice to see someone else with the same due date AND both around our birthdays! I'm 31st March, my partner is 2nd March and my DD is 24th March aha!

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 10:47

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever @Angelmiracle I had the same cramping last week (I'm 9+3 today) I worried too and had a scan yesterday but baby is all fine!

itsheapsswell · 23/07/2018 10:50

@rosemcn I'm having all day nausea too, but with no vomitting. I'm doing a few things:

  1. Diffusing ginger essential oil ALL DAY in my diffuser
  2. Drinking quite a bit of ginger ale/ginger kombucha/any other ginger drinks
  3. Taking a prenatal with added ginger (Seven Seas)
  4. Putting 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil under my tongue regularly
  5. Sucking on 'Preggie Pops', my partner bought me these off Amazon, they're quite expensive but well worth it!
  6. Sucking on lemon sweets, anything I could get my hands on in Tesco- lemon sherberts, lemon and honey menthol etc etc
  7. Eating small meals regularly

But please let me know if you try anything else that works!

Angelmiracle · 23/07/2018 11:47

@itsheapsswell haha March is a popular month in your house!!

If/when nausea kicks in I will try out the travel/anti sickness bands.

@Baby160P that's reassuring it's normal! I didn't find out I was having DS until 8 weeks gone so now I've an extra 4 weeks of symptom spotting 🙈

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 23/07/2018 12:18

Thanks @Angelmiracle and @Baby160P Glad I'm not alone and it's a normal symptom.

Has anyone booked an appointment with their GP or just self-refered to the midwife? I'm unsure what to do! I've got an appointment on Thursday which I'd booked prior to BFP but don't really want to wait that long!

Baby160P · 23/07/2018 12:54

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I just spoke to my doctors receptionist who booked me in I think they said between 8-10 weeks.

They then sent me details off to the midwife to have all of my paperwork ready, not sure if it's different in different areas though xx
