Not meaning to be patronising, but you'll soon learn not to give a shit about who gives a shit if you see what I mean. I was soft and cared whether people cared before I had my son. Now I honestly couldn't give a shit cos no matter what, I have a little person who'll always care.

purplesmiler · 11/07/2018 22:40

@cryptonaut I bet it feels good to be able to start sharing the happy news.

purplestrawberry2 · 12/07/2018 05:37

Hello, wondering if I can join you? Due Jan 19th with twins (eek!) - very unexpected pregnancy but happy and nauseous Grin

purplesmiler · 12/07/2018 07:35

Welcome @purplestrawberry2 and congratulations.

Feeling so tired this morning as couldn't get comfortable last night.

Jigglyjugs · 12/07/2018 08:06

Morning. Hey @purplestrawberry2!

I'm shattered as well, after working 11 hours yesterday we then had friends over for football and I've woken up with a sore throat, ugh. Bring on the weekend!!

SuperVeggie · 12/07/2018 10:23

Hi everyone, thank you for the previous comments of reassurance after I had my stressful day meeting a million different midwives and consultants! I am feeling better about it all now, and a bit less overwhelmed, and trying to focus on how lucky we are to have all this wonderful care for free from the NHS. I have to remind myself about that a LOT when I'm giving myself these horrible daily clexane injections! I am getting a bit better at them now though and they're not hurting as much as they did to start with.

Hope everyone is ok this week? @Jigglyjugs and @purplesmiler I am also feeling pretty knackered this week, thought nausea had started to subside but it's been back with a vengeance these last two days! I had my 12 week scan on Tuesday (even though I'm technically not 12w til this weekend) and thankfully baby was just big enough for them to do all the measurements and NT screening, so just waiting for the blood tests to come back now. Hope everyone else who is still waiting has positive scan experiences, I was extremely nervous beforehand but it was ok and a relief to see baby wriggling around.

SuperVeggie · 12/07/2018 10:24

Oh and welcome @purplestrawberry2! So exciting that you're having twins :-)

purplestrawberry2 · 12/07/2018 10:48

Exciting but still a bit shell shocked! I am feeling very nauseous still as well as being exhausted - like I could fall asleep anywhere!

Buttercup53 · 12/07/2018 10:52

I’m officially low risk, and the odds I got are really good - 1 in 78,000 and 1 in 3800. So relieved, managed to work myself into a bit of a frenzy yesterday and this morning, thank god midwives are so understanding. Was really hoping for odds like that as if they’d have been lower I’d probably want to pay for the harmony test to check, but feel like there’s no need now. So excited to start telling people this weekend.

SuperVeggie · 12/07/2018 11:05

Thats good @Buttercup53 I would definitely be very happy with those numbers! For some reason I have managed to convince myself that I will be high risk, even though I'm not particularly old (30) and the NT measurement seemed fine (1.1mm). They've told me they would call me within 2-3 days if it is high risk, and my scan was Tuesday morning. Yesterday late afternoon I got a call from 'unknown number' (which is what the hospital comes up as) and when I answered the woman said 'Oh hello this is Joan from the maternity unit' and she was doing one of those really sympathetic voices like she was about to say something really bad. I almost burst into tears then and there, until she said 'I'm just calling because we need to change the time of one of your appointments'!! I was obviously mega relieved but now I am flinching every time my phone goes off! Think if I haven't heard anything by the end of tomorrow then it should be ok. They said they send a letter if it is low risk.

purplesmiler · 12/07/2018 11:21

@Buttercup53 thats fab news really pleased for you and you can enjoy your pregnancy.

@SuperVeggie hope you get the results today and can be reassured.

Im off on a night away for a friends birthday at the weekend and have told her today why im not drinking, just thought it would have been too awkward otherwise and they know I usually do enjoy a couple of glasses of wine lol.

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 11:34

Morning ladies, how is everyone feeling today?
I've had my scan, they've put me at 11w exactly instead of the 11+2 I should be, and I've been told my gestational sac is slightly reduced in size :( so back to panicking like crazy.

jennac · 12/07/2018 12:06

@FuckMyUterus oh I'm so sorry to hear they've said something like that - did they seem concerned? Does this mean that you have to go back for another scan next week? Everything crossed that it works out okay

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 12:12

jennac no, she specifically said that she wasn't concerned, but I'm going ahead and panicking anyway, I can't help it. I have a scan on the 23rd, 11 long days away. Hoping that it's caught up a little by then.

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 12:14

These are the pictures.

purplesmiler · 12/07/2018 12:23

@FuckMyUterus its understandable that you are feeling panicked as even though they were not concerned you have been through so much previously.

Ive been feeling sick on and off usually due to hunger but actually felt really sick after eating this morning. Water is my friend today.

sexnotgender · 12/07/2018 12:36

12 week scan today, moved dates up slightly from 22nd January to 19th. All looked good.
Going to get additional scans though due to my older daughters medical issues.

purplesmiler · 12/07/2018 12:44

aww its lovely seeing the scan photos ive got a bit of a wait for mine.

@sexnotgender additional scans will be good for extra reassurance.

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 14:06

Ooooh sexnotgender I think you can see the genital tube for the nub theory ❤️

sexnotgender · 12/07/2018 15:22

Ooh, I shall post my pic in the main section and see if anyone wants to guess! I’ve got another pic so will take a photo of that too.

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 15:23

My guess is boy!

sexnotgender · 12/07/2018 15:27

Interesting! I’m rubbish at nub spotting.

How you feeling today fuckmyuterus?

purplesmiler extra scans are great. The fetal medicine team seem lovely. Looks like I’ll be under their care. I’ve got 5 scans lined up in all I think?

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 16:01

A bit deflated if I'm honest, I've had 2 days of feeling like this pregnancy is finally going how it should, and now to be told the sac is measuring small is horrible :(

sexnotgender · 12/07/2018 16:15

Ah, I'm sorry. Was just catching up on the thread though and your midwife said she wasn't concerned? That should be reassuring.

FuckMyUterus · 12/07/2018 16:46

Would you really not be worried? Starting to feel a bit of a drama queen :/
