@FuckMyUterus please contact your local EPU for support. I have had some bleeding in my pregnancy too and accessed their services for tests scans etc. Sending you hugs.

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 08:09

@FuckMyUterus just as @ComtessadeLancret had said. Have you contacted the EPU? Or your midwife? I hope you are ok and everything works out fine.

I've literally this morning gone for my first pee of the day, wiped and it was like first day of period with that darkish brown blood. Panic and tears...........EPU is closed weekends so phoned emergency maternity number and lady I spoke to said it may just be implantation bleed (I'm 11+1) and to wear a pad, monitor it and if it gets heavier or is bright red to go straight to A&E.

Hope it settles for you @InDreamland take it easy for today. Brown blood usually means older so hopefully you won't see anymore. Sending hugs x

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 09:06

Oh god, it seems like it's happening to us all. If it's still happening Monday I'll go straight to the EPU.

Buttercup53 · 07/07/2018 09:12

I really hope both you guys are okay, it sounds extremely stressful to be in that position. I know EPUs are typically not open on weekends, and I’m sure it’s against all guidance, but personally if I was in your position I would immediately go to A&E or at least a walk-in centre. Not because I necessarily think that anything drastic has happened, but at the very least they can provide reassurance, and help you to get an appointment immediately on Monday rather than having to wait for a week. I know my A&E doesn’t provide access to an ultrasound machine in most circumstances, but when I had a suspected ectopic pregnancy, they made me feel a million times better just having had a blood and urine test even though I still had to wait for an ultra sound. I really wish both of you the best, and you will have all of us to talk to if you wish to, whatever the outcome.

ComtessedeLancret · 07/07/2018 09:23

@FuckMyUterus I hope all is well and going in on Monday is a good plan, don’t give up hope yet. I saw your other post and I should add that I’ve had diorreah with the bleeding/discharge too, so any cramping I’ve chalked up to that. Because I knew my scan was close I didn’t bother with A&E and the scan showed a perfectly over-active Bub anyway, so I’ll be raising my concerns with my midwife come Tuesday morning.

Isn’t it bizarre that women have been having babies for eons yet these things are still so mysterious and touch and go!

My fingers are crossed for us all xx

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 09:27

I feel a little less hopeless now I've had some sleep. I've literally just sobbed and begged down the phone to the bitch midwife at my second localest (not a word I know) EPU. They accept self referral and are open til 1pm but they are refusing to see me cos I've had diarrhoea. Despite me telling them that I've not had a normal bowel movement since being pregnant. Deep down I know they're trying to protect other ladies but I'm losing the plot here.

purplesmiler · 07/07/2018 09:35

@FuckMyUterus that seems so odd to me I have had bowel movements of all kinds throughout my pregnancy but was always allowed to the EPU. Please take it easy x

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 09:47

purplesmiler I am so tempted to just turn up and 'forget' to tell them that I've had diarrhoea as I gave no personal details over the phone. But then if I develop vomiting or other 'bug' symptoms later on I would feel so awful.

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 10:00

Sorry if this is TMI but been for another pee ........this is what I'm getting. Nothing on the pad I popped on my knickers after I called maternity helpline. I'm alone today as DH away with mates on a lads weekend. I'm supposed to be going for a massage today to help de-stress and going to Silverstone tomorrow. I'm so worried.

indreamland hopefully it's just an irritated cervix. If it helps, when I spoke to my midwife, she said that it's less concerning when it's in ewcm or snotty discharge than it is if it's just brown or pink spotting by itself.

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 10:42

Sorry to sound thick but what is ewcm?

Also, I've just seen headlines folkowing email from Ocado about recall of frozen mixed veg because of listeria! Called Waitrose helpline. Realised consumed that bag a while ago but had some Tesco frozen mixed veg last night for dinner amd that is also on the recall list! OMG I feel sick!

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 10:51

It's discharge that is similar to egg whites... Quite viscous and thick, and usually clear or yellowish but obvs mine is pink atm.

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 10:55

Oh thanks hun. I really hope we are both ok. How are you feeling now?

OP posts:
cryptonaut · 07/07/2018 12:10

So sorry to hear about your worries guys. Don't give up hope, like the others have said try to see someone this weekend if you can. Hope all is well in the end.

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 12:42

Thanks @cryptonaut. I ended up phoning my mum. Parents were round in a shot. Both retired nurses and think there's nothing to worry about but gonna go stay with them tonight and they'll keep an eye on me. First sign of a problem I'll be up to A&E. 2nd trip to loo had same discharge but 3rd trip to wee pad is still dry thankfully and wiped and seems ok this time. They think my dinner last night because I cook thoroughly I'll be fine and it's a coincidence. They're not worried. Even photo of discharge from this morning they think it's fine.

@InDreamland glad you have some reassurance and support from family. These things seem to happen at the weekends. Hope you can relax for a bit.

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 12:54

I'm not feeling too good indreamland i feel dizzy behind my eyes if that makes sense and just really not right :(

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 13:08

@FuckMyUterus please can you get yourself to A&E? It would reassure you if you can be seen and checked over. At least stop you worrying all weekend if you know what is going on. Fingers crossed for you (and me). I'm so annoyed as was really looking forward to this weekend. Gym class this morning and massage this afternoon both cancelled and now just hoping I'm ok for tomorrow's race (I go every year and was thinking I may not get to go next year if baby joins us safe and sound - although also thought baby could experience their first F1 GP and I'd dress him/her up in the team shirt too). Now I'm scared we may not even make it .......

OP posts:
purplesmiler · 07/07/2018 13:30

Totally agree with @InDreamland you need to get checked over @FuckMyUterus please go to a and e

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 14:56

At A&E now they've taken bloods but said nothing else they can do, so once bloods are back they'll give me the results and discharge me

cryptonaut · 07/07/2018 15:03

Fingers and toes crossed for you @FuckMyUterus

InDreamland · 07/07/2018 15:34

Hoping everything is ok for you @FuckMyUterus! Let's have all of us make it to January and then beyond x

I'm too scared to go to the loo now.

OP posts:
FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 15:51

Well my bloods are back, they said they're at the very very lower end of normal range for 10weeks but there's no infection or anything else, so I'm on my way home
