Are they going to repeat your bloods in 48 hours @FuckMyUterus

@InDreamland I understand the fear of going to the loo and when you do examining the tissue.

cryptonaut · 07/07/2018 16:34

Keep an eye out for the frozen veg on this list www.food.gov.uk/news-alerts/alert/fsa-prin-35-2018 they've been recalled for contamination

FuckMyUterus · 07/07/2018 18:59

purplesmiler you'd think so, however when I asked them they just said I'll need to book in with the GP for another set

purplesmiler · 08/07/2018 07:00

Morning ladies how are you feeling?

I've really struggled with my back the past few days. Lower back has felt so strained and I've struggled to get comfy. Had a few days away relaxing at the coast though so that's been nice.

cryptonaut · 08/07/2018 07:36

@purplesmiler I've also had lower back pain. I've been told by my chiropractor and an antenatal/postpartum fitness specialist that it's caused by a change in posture. The pelvis tilts forward to accommodate the growing baby and uterus, this causes the vertebrae at the bottom of the spine to compress which results in back pain. There are exercises you can do to help relieve the pain and strengthen the body to prevent the pelvis from tilting too far forward, check out this and the other blog entries thefitmamamethod.blog/2017/11/08/1-simple-method-to-cure-back-pain/

Buttercup53 · 08/07/2018 08:32

@purplesmiler a weekend at the coast sounds lovely in this weather, I’m jealous. I also have lower back pain, mainly concentrated in the tops of my hips but at the back. It’s so much worse when I’ve been sat on a firm seat, went to an event last night and after sitting on the crappy seats for just over an hour my back felt like it was on fire. Genuinely quite worried about later pregnancy, I have really bad posture naturally and I’ve always struggled to improve it, now I’m pregnant I can already feel it getting worse.

Buttercup53 · 08/07/2018 09:44

Sorry for double posting guys, I was just wondering if anyone has had a UTI before and what it felt like? For the past 4/5 days I’ve been having cramps like period pains, which I put down to stretching. But over the last two days, when I sit down, I feel this ache/jolt ‘down below’, and I’ve realised that my pee is cloudy/dark m even though I’m drinking lots, and I never really feel ‘satisfied’ when I’ve had a wee. I also feel generally under the weather today and yesterday, no appetite which is weird because it’s been ferocious for the last 2 weeks, and the back of my hips ache. However there is no burning sensation and I don’t constantly need a wee. I feel like it’s either a UTI or despite my best efforts I’m dehydrated in this hot weather. OR it’s just another joyful pregnancy symptom. My GP only does a walk in surgery, so if I can avoid sitting in the hot office for 3 hours tomorrow morning I’d like to, but if anyone else thinks it could be a UTI I’ll go.

Jigglyjugs · 08/07/2018 11:06

Morning everyone! Ah sorry to hear you've had stressful weekends, I really hope it all turns out to be ok for you all! Really not what you need in this heat Sad.

@buttercup53, I've had UTIs in the past, and they can start the way you've described, especially not feeling as though you've fully emptied your bladder. Does it feel a bit sensitive when you've finished? They can sometimes take a while to develop into needing to constantly pee but you'll know about it when it does! They get very painful and you cannot get comfortable. I know you can go to a walk in centre/a&e for it, I had to once. Plus the risk rises with pregnancy and it's important to get it checked!

Buttercup53 · 08/07/2018 11:16

Thanks @jugglyjugs that’s helpful to know this could be the start of one. Sorry for the TMI, it’s not sensitive when I wipe after a wee, but the whole area has this weird jolting, uncomfortable feeling when I sit down, which is the main thing that’s making me think somethings not quite functioning at 100%. I’ve read they can get serious quite quickly in pregnancy so I’ll go along to the GP in the morning.

cryptonaut · 08/07/2018 12:41

@Buttercup53 I've had a UTI many years ago. I felt like I always needed to wee, like my bladder never fully emptied when I did, it did burn for me, had some discomfort like a period, I had some pink in my urine as well which I thought was period blood at first but when it was still there when wearing a tampon I knew it was in the urine. It was extremely uncomfortable and painful, had to have a week of antibiotics and it's only started to feel better after a couple of days on them. Definitely see someone tomorrow so you don't get any complications with it, fingers crossed it clears quickly for you

Buttercup53 · 08/07/2018 12:50

Thanks so much for your feedback guys, I called 111 just to check and they ended up referring me for an out of hours GP appointment, just had it and given the all clear as long as it doesn’t get worse in the next 48 hours. Thank god for the NHS!

cryptonaut · 08/07/2018 13:12

@Buttercup53 that was a quick turnaround. Glad it's good news. Keep well, and stay hydrated in this heat despite the discomfort Smile

Buttercup53 · 08/07/2018 13:25

@crytonaut I know right?! I can’t believe how quickly I’ve been seen. I only rang 111 to check if I needed to go to the GP tomorrow and they insisted I go today. Felt a bit like I was wasting their time but the GP said any time you suspect a water infection in pregnancy it has to be checked and to always go in. A bit overwhelmed with the service I’ve had from the NHS while pregnant, still got a long way to go but everyone from my GP to the midwives and everyone inbetween has been amazing. Really helps to ease some of my anxiety.

Wowthisisreal · 09/07/2018 08:38

Are anyone else's symptoms lessening? My boobs haven't hurt for a couple of days now and don't feel as sensitive or as big (Hubby insists they are still as big). Is this normal? I'm 11+3 today.

I know that as I get closer to 12 weeks I should be starting to feel a little better and I haven't had any blood at all or anything. It's still unnerving though!

My 12 week scan is on Friday as the wait feels agonising. I just want to know everything is ok!

purplesmiler · 09/07/2018 08:49

@Wowthisisreal I have had days recently where my symptoms have seemed less, I do feel sick when I haven't eaten anything for a couple of hours but thats been it. Its still causes anxiety even though it is said that often symptoms reduce at this stage.

Jigglyjugs · 09/07/2018 09:24

@wowthisisreal, I'm 11 weeks today and mine seem to have eased a bit too, but the same, no blood or anything! My boobs are still achy at night but not as bad in the day. Still have pronounced veins in them though and I can feel a small, slightly firm bump just above my underwear, so something is there!

Buttercup53 · 09/07/2018 09:41

@wowthisisreal I’ve consistently had days throughout the pregnancy where I’ve not had any symptoms at all, and then days where they come on really strong. They ebb and flow every day for me, and everything was fine when I had my scan.

After an extremely positive week I’ve had a panic attack this morning. Feel really shitty about it, I thought I’d gotten past this stage. Luckily have therapy today, felt like the therapist spoke over me a lot when I first met him, so I’ve written a list of what I want to discuss. If he won’t listen to me, my MH midwife has said she’ll ask for a referral to another therapist on my behalf. Just wish I could consistently feel ‘normal’ rather than having these moments that throw me completely off balance, I can cope with disliking pregnancy, I can’t cope with how my thoughts spiral out of control over nothing. I can’t understand why I have to work so hard every day just to feel average, let alone happy. Sorry for the rant!

InDreamland · 09/07/2018 10:15

Morning ladies!

@FuckMyUterus I hope things have settled now and you and baby are ok.

@Buttercup53 that is impressive how fast you were seen. Hopefully therapist listens to you.

@Wowthisisreal I have found my symptoms eased, well some anyway. I'm still exhausted but nausea eased a few weeks ago and boobs past few days don't ache anymore but nipples are still itchy.

That said I managed a really good day yesterday despite my melt down on Saturday. I'm still very worried. Yesterday still had some brown discharge but nothing so far this morning. The easing symptoms make me anxious. Last night I was up needing the loo, first time was terrible abdominal pains, I did (sorry for TMI) massive solid poo, then within seconds of going back to bed more sharp pains, back to loo and another poo but was loose but that seemed to fix the tummy pains. Same as you I'm 11+3 and scan is on Friday so I'm praying everything is ok. I'm resting today, taken day as holiday.

purplesmiler · 09/07/2018 14:03

@InDreamland glad you are feeling a bit better and resting up today. My bowel movements have been one extreme to the other throughout this pregnancy.

InDreamland · 09/07/2018 14:59

Thanks @purplesmiler. I hope on Friday around lunchtime I'll be happier but really very anxious. Today so far not had any more brown discharge but I feel nervous every time I go to the loo now and what of something is wrong on Friday?

Had anyone stopped sleeping on their front? I love lying on my front but past few weeks I've found unable to lie on front because whilst I don't have a bump yet (only major bloating) I feel something solid in my lower abdomen which is uncomfortable. I'm only 11+3.

OP posts:
purplesmiler · 09/07/2018 15:09

@InDreamland I am finding when I change to lay on my side from my back I feel that I it is much more effort to move and there is extra weight in my lower belly. My DH has said he feels it when cuddling me too.

FuckMyUterus · 09/07/2018 15:21

Paid 80 pounds to have a private scan today as I'm still bleeding. Baby is fine, due date has been pulled forward to 29th January! Found the bleed on the scan, it's below pregnancy sac so no harm to baby, but as it's still there I'm probably gonna continue to bleed for the foreseeable future.
Still doesn't feel real that everything is okay!

FuckMyUterus · 09/07/2018 15:22

buttercup and anyone else who has UTI symptoms, I have a particularly nasty (apparently) UTI and am on nitrofurantoin for 7 days. Worst. Drug. Ever :( but worth it to make sure my baby is okay!

purplesmiler · 09/07/2018 15:25

@FuckMyUterus so pleased for your positive update. Take it easy, maybe your MW will suggest seeing the consultant for extra reassurance.
