Did you go for your normal size but just in maternity @AnotherOriginalUsername?
So far I've only ordered a maternity swimming costume for my holiday in a few weeks, it was on sale for £8 sale thought I'd go for it! Also ordered first baby clothes with a pack of sleepsuits, hats and a pramsuit. The whole lot came to £24 including the swimming costume, I thought it's a bargain why not! Going to give the baby clothes to DH on fathers day, though worried he will be annoyed I've got anything so early, he wants to wait till gone 30 weeks!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/06/2018 12:13

I did. And some a size bigger Blush

I've started picking up little bits - mainly newborn clothes bundles on eBay for less than a fiver so far. Had a few big expenses recently (like my car repair bill which cost an absolute fortune!) so would rather spend a small amount each month than fork out a huge amount towards the end. The travel system was on offer (over £200 off) so bought that, MiL picked us up a Moses basket and rocker thing in a sale the other day, so little bits are coming together when the occasion presents itself to get a bit of a bargain!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/06/2018 12:14

Clothes wise I've ordered 2 pairs of maternity jeans (I can get away with wearing jeans to work), a pair of leggings, and about 6 tops (again will wear those for work too)

AnotherOriginalUsername · 10/06/2018 15:39

Went into town, collected some bits, did some shopping. Dragged husband into JoJo Maman Bebe (his idea of hell - expensive boutiquey type shop where the staff talk to you). Woman comes over and starts chatting, commented on the giraffes on my top (tunic type top, I've always looked pregnant in it, even long before I was!)

"Are you looking for anything in particular?"
"No just browsing, looking for inspiration"
"Ooh is it your first?"
"What? No, I'm looking for a gift, I'm just fat"

I'm a terrible, terrible person 😂

Scout1774 · 11/06/2018 19:47

Hi everyone, am looking for some reassurance (hopefully Smile).
I'm 16 weeks + 4 and suddenly a few days ago almost all of my symptoms vanished. Appetite nearly back to normal, don't feel sick in the mornings (and I have done since week 6), and - sorry tmi - am no longer having any white discharge, which I had been having every day. Did feel a bit faint yesterday but that's it. Am beginning to really panic! Is anyone else feeling like this?

shutupRuth · 11/06/2018 20:21

Scout I’m 15+4 and my nausea/sickness has pretty much gone now (thank god) and I’m also starting to eat more ‘normally’. It was only your post that made me realise my discharge (sorry) is pretty minimal now too also...I think/hope that’s all pretty normal for 2nd trimester. My son was born 8.5 years ago so hard to remember!!

Emma198 · 11/06/2018 20:31

@Another that's awful 🤣

@Scout my nausea is still in the background and I'm still shattered but I'm mostly feeling better, 16 weeks today.

Well, better in myself but my doc thinks I've got sciatica and that thing where your pelvis is wonky 😭😭 reckons it won't go away during my pregnancy. Got a long way to go yet!!!

My goodness is anyone else suffering from restless legs? So bloody irritating 😠

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/06/2018 07:32

Maternity trousers arrived. Still just look fat!

GreenGooner · 12/06/2018 07:38

@another me too 😂 although I love my mat trousers and may just wear them forever.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/06/2018 11:11

It's tempting!

I had a text from the guy at my gym yesterday basically asking if I was still alive Blush

Emma198 · 12/06/2018 14:53

This was me this morning! Gets bigger as day goes on 😂

@Scout1774 I am the same! Mine disappeared but had a scan today as was in the hospital on weekend and everything was perfect. The symptoms going is a good thing! Embrace it. If anything had gone wrong at this point, it would present to you a lot more obviously that a lack of symptoms.

ellsbells90 · 12/06/2018 15:45

@Emma198 I thought your cat was a slipper! haha cute bump! xx

ellsbells90 · 12/06/2018 15:46

third bloody message... sheez! I need to find some maternity jeans as im living in sodding leggings. Feel like a twat.

Cant work out what would be better the under bump or over? Anyone bought any?

Kt2108 · 12/06/2018 15:48

Ells bells!
I have over work pants
And under jeans

Under much better in my opinion- especially for this stage! I'm finding my work pants weirdly excessive

Emma198 · 12/06/2018 15:53

thanks! the cat never misses a photo op! the jeans I'm wearing in that pic are over bump. I just can't imagine being comfy in under I always lived in high waisted jeans before.

OP posts:
AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/06/2018 16:09

My ones are over bump and currently comfortably go up over my boobs!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 12/06/2018 17:18

Got a bit of something going on from this angle, but from all others I'm definitely just fat...

Scout1774 · 12/06/2018 17:23

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I had my 16 week MW appointment today and she listened for a heartbeat (didn't know they would do that) and she found it quickly and it was fine! So feel very relieved!

Hope everyone is feeling well x

Melaniesunflower · 12/06/2018 19:13

I bought some things in Lidl as they're doing a maternity event this week, the leggings are so comfy!!!! My friend gave me some of her things , but it's all a bit big as she had twins, but I'll maybe fit them eventually..... Finally managed to get a non wired bra that doesn't want to cut me in half

HungryN · 12/06/2018 23:50

I keep getting comments from a couple of colleagues about how I ‘don’t look pregnant at all’. I’m sure they mean well but I find the scrutiny over the shape of my body a bit much, and their comments are always unsolicited! I also find it annoying because I want a bump!

Izzyw1983 · 13/06/2018 05:05

I bought something yesterday...pack of plain baby grows...and a vest that says grandma was here with kisses all over it (think my mum will love it)
I've always been told I will never get pregnant and after 10 years of believing it it's actually happened....im now 11 +3 now it doesn't feel real yet....not sure when it will.
I'm excited but also nervous...i have my 12 wk scan on Friday 15/6/18.

MrsCrumbtious · 13/06/2018 05:38

Hubby asked me to sit down and write a list of things we will need for baby so we can budget....think he’s wishing I hadn’t started 😂.
On another note has anyone started getting round ligament pain? I’m just over 13 weeks and sure that’s what’s going on right now. Feels like a stitch on both sides when I move or change position in bed.

Izzyw1983 · 13/06/2018 06:05

Is it like a very sharp pain that takes about a minute to wear off?
