@anotheroriginalusername hooray! Glad it is no longer a mystery!

I get three scans at my hospital and I believe the third one is a 4d scan. Perks of a university hospital!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 02/09/2018 19:16

Best bit was husband bought baby a bunny today. So glad I've convinced him not to give our immune system-less newborn his skanky 30 year old bunny that he was given when he was born 😂

EL332 · 02/09/2018 20:26

@AnotherOriginalUsername yay! How exciting! I bet your excited to be able to buy lots of things that aren't just white and beige! 🙂

I'm under the consultant for raised BMI and other family history stuff...

I've seen them at I think 16 weeks then 27 and I won't again until 38 weeks, no ones mentioned any growth scans to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

AnotherOriginalUsername · 02/09/2018 20:35

Jeez I really am being closely monitored then. I have growth scan AND consultant appointments every 2 weeks from 21st September, alternating between my local hospital and the specialist unit a bazillion miles away.

Melaniesunflower · 02/09/2018 21:19

I'm supposedly under consultant care, but only saw at 12 week scan (14 weeks) and won't see again till 38 weeks. Seeing the midwife on Friday for 28 week appointment, so I guess she'll look at growth then.....

Emma198 · 02/09/2018 22:10

I'm not sure if I'm consultant care! Saw once at 14 weeks, then will see three times after growth scans but still see my midwife. After 36 week growth scan they'll either say I'm midwife care if she's normal size, or consultant care if she's big.

Worst nights sleep ever 😣

There wasn't an hour I didn't see... and I don't even feel rested 😔

Too much to do at work today to be able to stay at home...

Not a great start to the week 🙄

Italianshark · 03/09/2018 08:50

@orangejuicer my movements tend to die down on fridays - weird. Decided not to panic myself the friday just gone, and low and behold all weekend she kicked like a gooden. Not sure if thats the kind of patterns they suggest to look out for?

On my exercise front, i was fit beforehand but have done nothing since about 8 weeks. Except for this weekend, we decided to treck up and around beachy head and my hips hurt now lol - boooooo.

Italianshark · 03/09/2018 10:45

@AnotherOriginalUsername congrats on the blue. I was just reading this thread back to front! haha.

My baby got short legs. I had my 20 weeks scan at 20+6 and they had appropriate measurements but the femur length was 18 weeks haha. TBH me and OH are both short so its expected.

Stargirl90 · 03/09/2018 10:58

Hi hope i'm okay to jump on. I'm due 30th nov, first baby, a little boy. I have higher bmi (39 at booking in) i had the GTT test almost 2 weeks ago and not heard anything so thinking i likely don't have it. I've got my 28wk midwife appt in a few days and my first growth scan on Sunday. I haven't been told anything all about his size yet, is that normal? I hope that maybe means he's growing at normal rate as they would have mentioned it if not. They did say at one scan he has long legs, buts that's all I know. Was half expecting him to be massive as my DP was 10lb+ at birth Shock

Emma198 · 03/09/2018 14:38

Welcome @Stargirl90! I recognise your name I thought you'd already joined us!

No one said anything about size to me at my scan, I got a printed sheet with it on. I think if they'd been massive at 20 weeks we'd have been told! Although apparently it's 26 weeks before the differential between babies really starts to show.

My husband was a massive baby too and he has a massive head 🙄 I should have chosen more wisely 😂.

We're having a little girl, due date 26 November 😊.

I had my GTT in the morning and was told I'd get a call in the afternoon if it was positive, but wouldn't hear if it was negative so by those standards you're OK! Surely they'd have wanted to see you by now if there was anything to worry about?

First Pregnancies with Nov/Dec due dates :) (thread no.3)www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3355423-first-pregnancies-with-nov-dec-due-dates-thread-no-3

Here's the link to thread no 3 💕

Stargirl90 · 04/09/2018 16:54

@Emma198 ohh maybe i was and forgot 🙈 haha fingers crossed our partners birth size doesn't affect how big their babies will be 😂 i never got the measurements though at any scan i've had so hopefully that's a good sign. I'll definitely know more on sunday at the growth scan, cant wait for that!
