@hammeringmyhead Bounty have a discount code for the next2me at the moment. There's some on sale in some other places meaning it's not miles cheaper than elsewhere but it's still cheaper which helps!

@hammeringinmyhead the bedside cribs come up on local Facebook pages for sale very frequently here, and would be fine as long as you just use a new mattress

hammeringinmyhead · 31/07/2018 13:20

Thanks, I'll have a look. Unfortunately a lot of the second hand ones locally go up for about £150 and by the time you've bought a mattress it's the same! I can understand that after 6 months use though.

Can I ask you ladies about sleeping? I'm finding I have a pressure point on my hip due to sleeping on my left and not really moving during the might (except to pee lol). I've tried using pillows for support but it doesn't help and I just end up with my underwear digging into me which isn't fun Sad

orangejuicer · 31/07/2018 20:14

My question is - what do you do?

EL332 · 31/07/2018 21:50

@orangejuicer I have a 12ft pillow which seems better to support me... I was getting bad hip pain and bad neck noon at one point from trying to stay in the same position... having SO much pillow means that there are a few different positions, laying on the left, thy are manageable so you aren't jammed into the same one all night 💕

hammeringinmyhead · 31/07/2018 21:56

I have an Ikea v-pillow which I sleep with. The bump goes in the middle and one side between my legs. It allows me to move about a bit. I also never sleep in underwear - never have! I definitely wouldn't in pregnancy.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 31/07/2018 22:01

My 12ft pillow arrived today, so ask me in the morning! I got bursitis in my right hip from my marathon training and it appears to have come back with pregnancy so lying on it is very painful!

orangejuicer · 31/07/2018 22:43

I think it's going to be pillows and no underwear!

Emma198 · 31/07/2018 22:54

Having my big pillow means I can put my leg over it and lie on my left side but lond of half on my belly not fully on my side. Only problem is that I swivel fully on to my belly in the night.

That's how I lie @Emma198 and always have but that's mainly because I'm fat 😂

AnotherOriginalUsername · 01/08/2018 01:21

Oh and re: underwear, I'm finding the most comfortable thing at the moment is my husband's brand new boxer shorts. He's not impressed!

Emma198 · 01/08/2018 21:28

@another i hope your 1am posts don't mean that the 12ft pillow wasn't comfy?!

The 12ft pillow was lovely. Didn't stop baby sitting on my bladder though !!

Emma198 · 01/08/2018 21:58

Mine has taken up residence there too 🙄 never wee'd so much in my life.

I've been feeling movement for a couple of weeks now (since 19, I'm 22 now) but today I've had very distinctive kicks all day. Not sure if it's because baby is bigger/stronger or if it's because I'm off work so paying more attention.

HungryN · 01/08/2018 23:52

My baby goes mad with kicks at around 11.30pm every night. My belly jumps around like something else!

Has anyone decided on names yet? I’ve got boys names sorted but my partner and I are really struggling to settle on any we both like for girls.

Melaniesunflower · 02/08/2018 07:15

We have a boys name sorted, actually we decided on it years ago.... but we're really struggling on a girls name. We have a list, but it keeps getting edited. I know a girl at work who struggled to pick last year and the midwives at the unit helped as they were able to day or of her choices what was less popular.

Emma198 · 02/08/2018 08:46

We were totally settled on a boys name before I was pregnant and after much arguing and vetoing we settled on a girls name too. So hard!

I love seeing my belly jump about, and my husband felt it last week finally which was a relief, he had started to take it personally that she stopped every time he came near 😂

We agreed on a boys and girls name straight away and haven't deviated from those at all. Impressive really, for a couple who take 3 days to agree on what to have for dinner!

hammeringinmyhead · 02/08/2018 12:58

Ours is named but we aren't telling anyone until he's born.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 02/08/2018 13:43

I just had lunch and got ready to walk the dog and realised I couldn't find him...

I think he approves of the pillow!

He's not even allowed on the bed...

Aaw he's so cute! My cat sleeps on mine in the night too. Husband has also asked if he can have it once baby is here 😂

He's a million years old and our bed is too high for him to get onto, so I don't even know how he got up there to begin with but I didn't have the heart to move him!
