Aaaand it's hot again. Curse this bloody heatwave and all who sail in her. When will it end?!

dw23 · 22/07/2018 15:28

Good to know everyone else is feeling knackered too 😥 I'm so low in energy atm, I thought the second trimester was meant to be this glorious time of glowiness and renewal, I just feel like a sloth. A hot sloth who is being kicked to pieces 😂😰

orangejuicer · 22/07/2018 15:31

I just want to be wrapped up in a duvet drinking hot chocolate and watching the glorious rain! Sad

hammeringinmyhead · 22/07/2018 15:33

I'm less tired than 1st trimester but I feel really grumpy and have on and off insomnia.

Italianshark · 22/07/2018 16:42

I hate to dampen spirits even more lol but it's going to get to 38 degrees Thursday 😫 in the south east anyway 😭 I love winter 😂

Emma198 · 22/07/2018 17:52

I don't think I'm any less tired than i was in 1st trimester. People kept telling me that I'd get to 13/14 weeks and it would be like a light switch turning on and I'd feel ready to take on the world! NOPE. Just sleepy!

I'm repeatedly grateful that I'm no more pregnant than I am in this heat. Poor SiL is currently 34 weeks and very fed up! I'm certainly not complaining about having to work 8-7 in an air conditioned office either (and neither is the dog who comes with me!!)

I'm also having random middle of the night wake ups again. I have always had this (recently discovered that it's probably my husband waking me up after sleeping right through every night whilst he was recently away at a festival for 5 nihhs!) but usually I can get back to sleep quite early. Currently it's taking some food (waking up starving!) and a good hour plus of reading to get back to sleep - then I'm exhausted all the following day (and have spent most of the weekend napping!)

Glad to hear it's not just me!

hammeringinmyhead · 22/07/2018 19:02

Yep. Got up at 4.30 last Sunday, ate a breakfast bar and read a whole novel by the time DH woke at 7. It's sooo fun. Not.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/07/2018 19:18

I'm eating so many ice lollies at the moment, it's the only thing that seems to help!

Also feeling more movement too. @orangejuicer how far along are you? I think we may be at quite similar timings

orangejuicer · 22/07/2018 21:43

I am 21+4, due 28th November. I don't know if it is movement but not sure what else it would be. Sporadic popping, like someone flicking you?

orangejuicer · 22/07/2018 21:44

Typed one handed whilst eating a magnum Grin

AnotherOriginalUsername · 22/07/2018 21:52

Ah a week ahead of me then. I first felt it as a flicking type thing when driving. Feeling it a bit more now, particularly in the evenings and sometimes it feels like baby is doing summersaults in there

Emma198 · 22/07/2018 21:53

I was only feeling it when I was still but just started feeling it while I'm moving about too. 22 weeks tomorrow Smile

shallen · 22/07/2018 21:58

@orangejuicer I'm glad I read your comment about it feeling like flicking, I haven't been sure for a few days now, but that's exactly how I would describe it too!
I keep reading about a butterfly flutter and thinking it doesn't feel anything like that and wondering if all I could feel was wind!

EL332 · 22/07/2018 22:19

I'm 21+3 and due on 29th November 🙂 my placenta is at the top of my uterus so I've been told it might take longer for me to feel kicks, but I've definitely been feeling some different and new sensations the last couple of weeks.

Melaniesunflower · 23/07/2018 06:53

21+3 today, definitely feeling popping for about a week and a half, now feeling a bit more like poking, and developing into a pattern

MrsCrumbtious · 23/07/2018 07:23

Felt my first proper kicks last night (19 weeks) just above my lady bits. Our LG is making her presence felt 💗💗💗

Italianshark · 23/07/2018 09:04

@Emma198 We are due the same day Grin

I have been feeling her move for about 2 weeks now, I feel her move more if I eat certain things like Jalapenos or ice cold water!

I described the feelings as their along my nicker line (sometimes higher) and it feels like a really quick worm wriggling through my skin Confused... not the nicest thought but its how it feels every time I feel it lol

Emma198 · 23/07/2018 09:23

Mine has been kicking hard directly behind my belly button. Trying to break out Grin

Had my 25 week midwife appointment today and all well, got to listen in to heart beat with Doppler and all looks really good. However I was rubbing my tummy at one point and the midwife told me off, apparently it irritates the uterus? The way she said it was like it was obvious 🤷🏻‍♀️ made me feel stupid because I rub the bump all the time and baby pokes and kicks me back, I feel like it's bonding. Anyone else heard of this/been given this advice?

Emma198 · 24/07/2018 16:42

Oh I've heard the baby likes it when you rub your tummy!

OP posts:
orangejuicer · 24/07/2018 17:46

I rub my tummy, didn't think it was an issue! Confused

I had an appointment at the hospital yesterday to discuss healthy eating (high bmi) and midwife could not have been nicer. Really pleased with blood pressure and weight gain.

I'm feeling wriggly worm sensations a bit more italianshark but still trying to work out if there's a pattern.

How's everybody doing? I had a carvery today Grin

hammeringinmyhead · 24/07/2018 17:51

Had my 24 week appointment today. All fine! Just need to be a bit cooler...

shallen · 24/07/2018 21:06

So today, randomly from no where I have developed REALLY painful coxyx (not sure if that's how you spell it?) ....... my tail bone basically.

It bloody hurts like hell, especially when getting in and out of chairs/car, going up stairs, general movement really!

Coincidentally I went to my first pregnancy yoga tonight and she suggested some stretches, but not much improvement.

Anyone had anything similar and got any suggestions for what I can do to alleviate it?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

FarMack · 25/07/2018 07:08

21+6 today, and just put down the most horrendous night of sickness. After a solid 2 weeks of feeling great, it's returned with vengeance!
