@Emma198 I'd be lying if I said that part of my reason for going back now wasn't because I look pregnant rather than just fat after my 4 month gym sabbatical 😂

Italianshark · 16/07/2018 06:57

Found out yesterday were team pink!!💕

Emma198 · 16/07/2018 07:33

Yyeeeaaaahhhh Congratulations @Italian. 💕💕💕

@Emma198 so surreal isn't it! We had our scan friday though and I knew I saw those three white lines (vagina) 🤣!

Emma198 · 16/07/2018 09:20

@Italian aaw so you secretly knew all along?! She looked at ours from that angle early in the scan too but didn't tell us until the end. She also slipped up and called the baby 'she' half way through but because she was a student and seemed quite new I didn't let on that I'd noticed because I didn't want to upset her 😂

The scan was so nerve wracking for us, took a long time with a lot of silences and make us quite uneasy but it was just because she was new.

Congratulations @Italianshark! We find out this week after being so sure we'd remain yellow....fail!

I've made it to the gym. Had to totally change my bike set up...there must be a bump as it kept hitting the handle bars! I'm yet to tell them I'm not just fat after my 4 month break....

Italianshark · 16/07/2018 09:31

@Emma198 well I weren't sure but I came out the scan like a pubescent teenage boy whispering to my OH 'I saw a vagina' 😂.

Oh no, bless her. I'd have been nervous with a student though.

@AnotherOriginalUsername ooo good luck! It does make all the difference knowing weirdly, I suddenly feel closer to my bump 😊

Emma198 · 16/07/2018 11:20

Good luck @Another! I agree with @Italian, we feel loads closer to her now we know she's a girl, my husband keeps referring to us as 'his girls' and we're calling her by the name we've chosen for her. It's made it all that bit more real!

Maybe the gym pre work was a bad idea 😴

That was the link for the baby box for those that asked 🙂

EL332 · 16/07/2018 21:47

@AnotherOriginalUsername I don't know how you do it!

I swam in the sea this afternoon and needed a 2 hour nap afterwards ❤️

ND348 · 16/07/2018 22:26

Productive baby day today!
Had our 20 week scan and thankfully everything is looking as it should which we're really happy about.
Popped a very pregnant looking picture of me on social media which has served as our pregnancy announcement...
And just ordered pur pram! We'd been eyeing up the Silver Cross Pioneer travel system which cam set you back a grand but got it on offer at £625 so really pleased about that!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/07/2018 06:22

Great bargain ND348. All was well for the scan was it?
We posted a slightly cryptic photo of some cheese on social media as our "announcement" 😂

Emma198 · 17/07/2018 08:53

Aw congratulations @ND348. I tried that pram at weekend and liked it a lot, where did you get it from? X

Is anyone here suffering with their bladder? Waiting for my DR to call me back but for the past week, its just ached something chronic.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/07/2018 12:23

Only the need to go constantly more often. You're more prone to UTIs and such in pregnancy. Can you drop a sample in to the surgery? That'd be the first step - my GP surgery get you to drop off a sample, fill in a sheet (tick your symptoms type thing) then a HCA tests it and calls with the result.

Italianshark · 17/07/2018 13:10

@AnotherOriginalUsername Yeah I've just got back. Nothing in my urine, just very tender. DR called obstetrician whos advice, in laymen's terms, was "take a paracetamol and get on with it" haha.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/07/2018 14:22

@Italianshark standard advice for any ailment during pregnancy then!!

Emma198 · 17/07/2018 15:04

Anything I've asked about so far has just been "It's just because you're pregnant". Haha.

Anyone else have chest pains or tightness in their chest or am I right in thinking I better get to the doctors quick because I think I have another chest infection Sad

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/07/2018 16:22

Chest pain is not normal, get checked out (as someone who spent 4 hours in A&E a few weeks ago with chest pain!)

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/07/2018 16:23

If your GP can't see you then it's an A&E job

dw23 · 17/07/2018 17:05

@AnotherOriginalUsername oh really? What did yours end up being in the end if you don't mind me asking? I've had similar pain earlier on in pregnancy and went to GP and it was a chest infection but they rushed me to hospital and I had loads of tests etc so I'm inclined to wait til tomorrow, I can book to see GP and get in same day.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 17/07/2018 17:25

Mine turned out to be related to an existing heart condition as I thought but at the time they were concerned about a pulmonary embolism (pregnancy being a risk factor). If it was just me I'd have assumed it was to do with my DCM but as my husband pointed out, it's not just about me any more!
