@EL332 my living situation is worse than a 1 bed place - we live with my mother in law 😱

AnotherOriginalUsername · 13/07/2018 16:10

This appeared from nowhere this morning. Maybe starting to look less fat and more pregnant?

That's a cute little bump @another still waiting for mine!!

Can confirm that baby is looking perfect and is a healthy little boy! I'm so glad I decided to find out as you couldn't deny his bits on the scan 😂😂💙💙

Emma198 · 13/07/2018 16:42

Aw a bump! Now you can feel pregnant Smile Smile Smile you lucky symptomless devil.

Pleased it went well @Green Grin

Congratulations GreenGooner - did dad manage to refrain from commenting on the size of his boy bits? Is it just my husband that says totally inappropriate things during medical appointments? Hmm

@Emma198 I'm so hated at work right now. Two other pregnants at work really suffering whilst I'm merrily skipping about the place!

Think I've felt some kicks today but...how do you know?!

Italianshark · 13/07/2018 17:59

20 week scan today! Everything perfect was hilarious watching it move so much as I can feel it too! Though this was the best picture we could get...!

@EL332 we're in a one bed place but the baby has to sleep in with you for a while so we're excited to be able to have our first baby in our first home before buying a house.

Currently laying in bed with lower back pain though which somewhat resembles period pain back ache ☹️ - on a brighter note we ordered our pushchair today! Not coming till end of September 😃 made it all feel sooooo real!

@Emma198 I'm not I'm afraid 🙈 balloon is being made for Sunday's bbq!

I can't wait.

Emma198 · 13/07/2018 20:06

Oh my god I literally could not do that. Waiting two days longer?! There's Monday I'd be lasting until Sunday.

@AnotherOriginalUsername he was silent but had a massive smile on his face 😂 it was quite nerve wracking waiting for her to check anything out.

@Italianshark great news, it's so surreal isn't it?!

El send a glass of that my way. I'd usually be turning to the fizz to celebrate but I'm having a brew instead. Roll on Christmas for a beverage 😉

GreenGooner · 13/07/2018 21:02

Sorry meant @Emma198 baby brain

GreenGooner · 13/07/2018 21:03

@Italianshark that's amazing. I bet you're so excited x

Emma198 · 13/07/2018 21:09

@Green it's not very nice 😭😭 I'm so sad. Found alcohol free prosecco and it tastes like weird soda water 😟. Roll on Christmas for me too!

@Emma198 how annoying - I bet you were really looking forward to it.

So much exciting news here!

@AnotherOriginalUsername - is that a long term plan for you?

We were planning on moving this summer but have decided we will wait until next summer as we will be in a much better position next year and we will have little one in with us for at least the first Six months anyway ❤️

AnotherOriginalUsername · 14/07/2018 10:39

@EL332 it was supposed to be very temporary but here we are 3 years on....!

We were renting and our landlord sold the house. We moved in with MiL temporarily as it was close to Christmas and would take time (and money) to find somewhere else. Husband was then made redundant and his next job came with a huge a(5 figure) pay cut. It works well for the 3 of us though, MiL essentially lives in the annex, we have the rest of the house and we share a kitchen. We hardly see MiL to be honest, we all work different shifts and the plan was to be out before babies came but in reality it'll be a big help having her around if my heart does go doolally

hellobaby18 · 14/07/2018 12:42

Has anyone started looking/buying prams yet?

Interested to know what your choices are. It's a mind field! xx

AnotherOriginalUsername · 14/07/2018 13:35

@hellobaby18 I have the Cosatto giggle 2 travel system. Wouldn't have got it so early (my 20 week scan is next week) but it was on offer at £200 off and I knew that it was the one I wanted (and the sale price convinced my husband!)

Italianshark · 14/07/2018 17:33

@hellobaby18 we've got the Egg stroller, I fell in love with it soon as I saw it

Emma198 · 14/07/2018 17:39

I've just test driven the Joolz Geo Earth so away to look at some reviews. There was a mama's and papas I really liked too. And a Venicci prestige but I'd never heard of them before so doing some research on those too!

@hellobaby18 work out your budget, go and stand in the pram section of a large Mothercare store and look clueless - worked for us! Our main consideration was our height - I'm 6'1" and my husband is 6'4" so we got sent to push many a pram around the store.

Also ask friends etc. I've spoken to friends who have spend upward of £1000 (icandy was mentioned!) only to find they aren't that great.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 14/07/2018 18:15

This is ours.

It's literally idiot proof. Press the yellow button and the car seat/carry cot/seat comes off. Press a red button and the base collapses.

I remember having my niece for the day and not being able to remember how to collapse hers to get it back in the car again!

Melaniesunflower · 14/07/2018 19:38

Oooo, very nice! I need to convince my husband to start looking, he wants to hold off till September, not sure I can wait that long.......

AnotherOriginalUsername · 15/07/2018 20:57

I've decided tomorrow is the day. I've been given the go ahead by my cardiologists - I'm going back to the gym 😱 Spinning 9:30am booked, bib shorts unearthed from the bottom of the lycra pile, heart rate monitor charging.... It's been a while!

AnotherOriginalUsername · 15/07/2018 21:03

Ah sod it. Go big or go home (currently sad that 12 months ago to the day I completed my first ultra marathon and was hoping to be back there this year - this may be affecting my judgement!!)
