I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@Babybeany I wouldn't worry too much, I don't think it'd have an impact at this stage, bless you for worrying. Hope you have a better day today xxx

booxox · 20/06/2018 09:15

@TheMagicTorch I'm so sorry to read that, I can't imagine what you must be going through. Sending lots of hugs xx

bubblybrit · 20/06/2018 09:24

@TheMagicTorch. I’m so sorry that you are going through this. My head breaks for you and your DP. Good luck for the future and fingers crossed for your next cycle xx

bubblybrit · 20/06/2018 09:24

*heart not head

Babybeany · 20/06/2018 09:25

Thanks @hayley013 I feel so silly crying over such a small thing! I guess it’s all hormonal? Onwards and upwards! Going to carry on being healthy and doing everything I can to take care of this little bean.
Has anyone started a particular diet? I am eating lots of Fish, spinach, cabbage (amongst other veg), eggs, cheese, fruit and avocados... granola and yoghurt for breakfast! Does anyone have any handy foods as a pick me up for tiredness? X

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 20/06/2018 09:30

I've got back into the routine of having ovaltine original. It has folic acid in and always helped me feel a bit better in my last pregnancy.

Babybeany · 20/06/2018 09:36

@MrsSnootyPants2018 thank you! I think I’ll get some of that today then. It’s also a nice bedtime drink 😊 I’m so use to my bedtime drink being a glass of wine! 🤣 Times are a changing! X

Seafoodeatit · 20/06/2018 09:38

The only diet plan I'm following is only having food that don't make me vomit which so far consists of banana, toast, plain pasta, crackers and clementines.

booxox · 20/06/2018 09:42

@Babybeany my doctor recommended the Mediterranean diet so lots of white meat and veg he said it was the best for baby and me. But I was told to cut down on fruit and not have much because of the amount of sugar. Has anyone else been told this? xx

hayley013 · 20/06/2018 09:44

@Seafoodeatit clementines! They were my ultimate craving with my first, this time I've really gone off anything sweet. Know what you mean though, I fancy nothing right now, feeling yuck.

Ovaltine is a good shout, I've been fancying a cup of bovril, something I've never really drank before haha.

@Babybeany yes I'd say it's those hormones causing havoc, hope it settles for you but don't worry about your little baby, you're clearly making healthier choices which is amazing. I'm trying to eat some more green veg, just really can't eat a lot at once, a full meal puts me off x

Babybeany · 20/06/2018 10:00

@booxox oh that’s interesting. I have actually started to eat more fruit... only apples and oranges. Maybe I should keep them for my tired time if the sugar content is fairly high? I think the Mediterranean diet is probably my favourite anyway!

@hayley013 thank you! Sometimes you just need a bit of reassurance and you have given me that. 😊 Feeling much better after breakfast. Even got very slight cramps going on again. I like to think it’s little bean enjoying breakfast too! 💖

TheMagicTorch · 20/06/2018 10:03

@hayley013 @booxox @bubblybrit
Thank you so much lovelies. Wishing you all all the best.
Onwards and upwards hopefully. xx

Alicejj8x · 20/06/2018 10:10

Hello ladies I rang the doctors to see if I could
Get any progesterone tablets or anything f to help as I've had 2 MC and each time
It seems to stop around 6/7 weeks. So praying this time we're ok but the lovely doctor said to me she would write to an obstrateion and see what they suggest? Is this good news or?

MamaSarai · 20/06/2018 10:28

So sorry @TheMagicTorch FlowersFlowersFlowers for you xx

Petypop · 20/06/2018 10:32

@Alicejj8x hi I have had 3 miscarriages in the last 14 months all at 6/7 weeks, my friends also suggested progesterone, however the doctor has given me new study which shows it actually doesnt make a difference, but never the less she has given them to this time, I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and it might be because of the progesterone or something else, all the tests showed all was good with the baby and me, or if it's just how it is this time I dont know. however I do believe you need to start to take it ASAP. But I believe only pregnancy doctor can prescribe it GP wont do it, only will do it as a repeat if requested by midwife or the doctor from EPU. I am sure you will have your baby soon and all is going to be good. I still hope, thou worry every single day. But cant give up hope that one day I will be mummy.

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 20/06/2018 10:33

@Babybeany same! I've been opting for Sholer when DH has wine. Looks like it in a wine glass so will do!

Celebelly · 20/06/2018 10:34

@TheMagicTorch

I'm so sorry. Look after yourself x

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 20/06/2018 10:37

@TheMagicTorch

I’m so sorry 😔

Babybeany · 20/06/2018 10:42

@MrsSnootyPants2018 those becks blues aren’t bad either if you fancy the taste of something other than fruit. 😉

hayleyfx · 20/06/2018 10:46

@TheMagicTorch I’m so sorry hun. Wishing you the best of luck for the future. I hope you’re okay. Sending hugs Flowers

Alicejj8x · 20/06/2018 11:42

@Petypop
Ahh I'm sorry for your losses hun. Yeah that's the exact same time I lost my 2. One this year and one in 2016 so now this 3rd pregnancy is worrying alll the more.

The doctors gave me the midwife number if I was to call them
Could they prescribe it or just the OB?

Just worries me so much. I have a scan next week but I just feel normal today except boob soreness here and there

I am so glad everything is going ok for you xx

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 20/06/2018 11:52

Update on mine... still brown spotting, still getting small pains in my side (I could be imagining them being worse...?).

Rang EPU, they said they wouldn’t scan before 6 weeks anyway as there’d be nothing to see either way and just to keep an eye on it.

I have my booking in appointment on Monday, and my first scan booked for 6th July, so I just need to stay sane till then... 😬

Fredthespider · 20/06/2018 11:53

Sorry to hear that @themagictorch look after yourself x

Petypop · 20/06/2018 11:54

@Petypop with progresterone I think it's only the OB who can do the first request, after it's on repeat, you only take it till you are 12 weeks.
I felt very different this time, last 3 times I had tummy pains, the first two were bleeding on and off for a week than full on the third one, we had scan at 7 weeks as I felt some pains and than follow up at 9 weeks but I was told baby died couple of days after the scan at 7 weeks and I had silent miscarriage, it broke me and now I dont trust anything at all. I was panicking on Sunday as wasnt tired or ill like normally just my boobs were sore, they must think I am abusing them as I keep touching them to make sure they are sorte, as I kind of knew I had miscarriage on the last one before the scan as I told my husband that I no longer feel pregnant and that my boobs dont hurt anymore and I was right, so as long as they hurt I know all is well :) yes crazy right but all that we can do to make us feel better will do. Some woman keep going toilet to wipe to make sure there is no blood, I dont anymore as there was none last time but I do trust my boobs. Thou I am so tired, constantly wanting to sleep (was considering to book meeting room at work for an hour to go have a nap haha)

So as long as your boobs are sore you keep thinking you are doing well. It will happen you just have to have hope and keep going. keep me posted. Sorry how far are you now?

Fredthespider · 20/06/2018 11:59

I’m currently on the breadstick diet. Just nibbling away at them at my desk hoping to keep the nausea away.

We’ve not told anyone yet, and hoping to hold out until the 12 week scan. I’m considering telling work earlier, just to get the paid time off, but I’m not close to my boss and I want to tell my colleagues before I tell the boss.
