I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

Congratulations everyone! Can I join? I'm due approx 4th Feb.

Is anyone else hungry ALL THE TIME! I'm making decent choices but I feel like all I do is eat! I was like this with my first and I can't remember it subsiding! 🤦‍♀️ xx

Hi Everyone! Please can I join your lovely thread. I got my BFP on Monday (lovely bank holiday treat) and due on Feb 5. I AM TOO EXCITED!!!!

This is #1 after 3 months of trying. Planning to tell my mum today as she's visiting and I don't think I can keep it in 😅

My big worry is about when to tell work. I do a job that involves occasional manual work, and if i do have a MC then would you tell them that was why you needed time off? What are your guys plans?

@KimRobs87 Hungry. All. The. Time. 😋

@Chocodrops - I know right! I told my boss (he's really trustworthy) just 'in case'. Everyone is different however I did want him to know just in case I need time off too, like appointments etc x

Hello!

I got my BFP yesterday! Trying not to get too carried away as it is so early but I'm v excited and also terrified something will go wrong! I don't have many symptoms other than some back pain and mild cramping.

I’m planning on telling my line manager at about 12 weeks but might end up sooner cause we get on really well and I know she’ll be happy for me. I told her about my chemical last month cause I was unwell at work and thought I might need to leave. She’s very aware that we’re trying so thankfully it won’t come as much of a shock! 😊

Hi @KimRobs87 👋 you found us!
Hello everyone!!

@TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong thank you! 🤞

@KimRobs87 If I’m not hungry constantly then I’m tired constantly haha. I slept for 12 hours last night! 🤣

@Chocodrops congrats! With work it’s totally up to you - I’m not telling them yet (too nervous this time) but if something goes wrong I will. With my MC last year I could barely move out of bed for a week or two so I had to. Hopefully none of us have to go through that situation though, fingers crossed! 🤞

Everyone else who has just joined - congrats on the bfp’s!! I hope we all have very healthy, happy pregnancies 🤞

@hayleyfx - congrats! Tiredness, certainly got that going on. I'm not to bad to start with but about 1pm I have a real dip! Boy, it was a killer at work this week - took everything I had to not fall asleep!! X

Hello! Can I join in please? I got my BFP on Sunday and I’m 5 weeks today. Due date is between 31/01 and 04/02 depending on which calculator I use. It’s taken a year a half to get to this point and I’ve it an infertility clinic appointment in early July which I’m too scared to cancel at the moment!! I’m 36 so was worried that I was/am ‘too old’ so we’re keeping it under wraps until I get the signal everything’s ok!!

New to this thread.
I got a BFP tuesday last week! Currently I'm 4+7 Smile

We've told my DH's parents and sister yesterday as it'll be another while before we see them in person (and they'd have been questioning why I wasn't drinking wine last night)

Going to tell my sister today as I'm at a wedding and she will just know. I never don't drink at social events!!
And will tell my parents this weekend too, as I won't see them for a few months after this weekend.

I know it's quite early to be telling people as it's my 1st BFP and I know anything can happen over the next few weeks, but if it does, then these people would have been told the bad news anyway. Just trying to not get too excited!!

I'm also suffering with a very sore throat and I usually drink lots of Lemsip and vitamin C effervescent tablets. I've heard lemsip is a no no if pregnant. Anyone know if vitamin C is ok to take as well as the seven seas pregnancy vitamins?

I have my booking in app with midwife in 4 weeks time Smile

Is anyone getting much in the way of symptoms yet? I've literally had less symptoms with this than I have in the 2WW in negative cycles! I've had some cramping the last couple of days and lower back pain but that's it! I'll probably be glad of the lack of symptoms in a few weeks time, but just now it's making me nervous and like I've made the whole thing up!

Report
loumsc · 31/05/2018 10:55

@Celebelly enjoy the no symptoms for the time being!!! You'll regret asking for them.. the main symptom is a BFP and you got that!!

I've been experiencing symptoms since 3+2 even before a BFP and they're horrible!! Lots of nausea which makes me feel like I'm hungover at least twice a day!
I'm almost thinking could it be twins because everything I read says nausea usually doesn't start properly until 5 weeks!

@KimRobs87 thank you! I know how you feel, I never normally take naps & now I think I’m going to have to just so I don’t fall asleep at work haha! 🙈

@Celebelly for me it’s hunger and tiredness atm! Oh and cramps too I’ve been getting them for a week now. In my last pregnancy I had no symptoms until 6 weeks which is pretty average for a lot of people!

Is anybody else still testing occasionally? 🤣 I feel a bit mad but I test every few days now to make sure I’m still pregnant and because I’m obsessed with seeing the two lines or the word pregnant pop up haha! Just me? Probably 🤣

@hayleyfx I am totally going to be doing that later. My DSIL lost two at 8 weeks and I am paranoid that I am going to be the same.

I definitely felt tired this week and had assumed it was because of work but obviously its to do with BFP. I'm finding it hard to realise this is actually happening.

My mum says she didn't have many symptoms and got no morning sickness so I'm hoping that's genetic!

@moonlight1705 I’m sorry to hear about her losses. It’s so hard, I’m incredibly anxious after my MMC hence the reason I can’t stop testing! 🙈

@Celebelly @KimRobs87 I’m glad I’m not alone haha! I just had a couple more tests come in the mail this morning and still everytime I see the positive or ‘pregnant’ I’m just like WOW!! 🤣

@hayleyfx @Celebelly - what're we like! I just did one of the ones I bought early - just a dead cheap one - yep, still positive! Amazing isn't it x
