I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@yellow100

Yeah, I know.. I’ve had two MMCs recently, and one years and years ago. The two recent ones I had strong symptoms all throughout, my body didn’t realise I wasn’t pregnant till after surgery.
I was still getting positive tests after surgery etc.
In reality nothing would make me relax right now, except a guarantee... and they don’t exist.

I’m 5+1 today, and have a scan on the 6th July, so not too much longer to wait if it isn’t working... x

Seafoodeatit · 18/06/2018 14:14

I got a prescription for my nausea today, I did it over the phone as I didn't want to go in with the children in tow! The doctor didn't seem that fussed, she asked if I had anything prescribed in my last pregnancy and do I want the same stuff again and that was that!

My first and only craving - dr pepper, I have about two sips at a time, it makes me feel so sick but it tastes so good! I think I'll take all week to finish the small bottle in the fridge.

Welcome to the newcomers :) They seem to always date by last period, they rely on the 12 week scan for dating so aren't too bothered what's put down before then, I was about a week further on by scans in my last pregnancy.

fizzledays · 18/06/2018 14:45

I got my first appt with midwife through today, will be at 6 weeks. Assume this will just be a general intro appt etc as it's my first, is that right?

hayley013 · 18/06/2018 15:01

@fizzledays they will go through medical history on both maternal and paternal side, they may ask for a urine sample, and they'll ask what hospital you want to have baby at, then they can arrange your dating scan xx

AliceRR · 18/06/2018 15:03

@alicejj8x

Ha, same!

Yes it is worrying. I’m worried but DH isn’t at all. He’s acting like the risk is minimal and I’m overthinking it.

Hearing about others’ have MMC is the worst thing - the idea that it could all go wrong and you wouldn’t know. But need to not think of that...

Sorry to all of you who have been through that. Must be dreadful.

I know the odds are in our favour but I am 34. I’ve seen the odds for under 30s and under 35s. Weirdly they don’t specify in between (on sites I’ve seen) but I think most other things are in my favour so hopefully all will be well and it’s nice to think of the risks going down every day...

Alicejj8x · 18/06/2018 15:41

@AliceRR
Is this your first?..

Yes I've had 2 MMC and they are just horrible as you think it's all
Ok and then have that scan and it's like bam ok! However I always have just had a funny sign telling me
Things weren't ok!

Let's hope everything is okay for you & everyone else on here :)

AliceRR · 18/06/2018 15:51

@alicejj8x yes it’s my first pregnancy and I’m just nervous but seems to be normal!

Yes let’s hope we’ll be fine and little beans will be fine - roll on first scan!

Babybeany · 18/06/2018 17:07

I am completely whacked!! I run a parent/baby group full of magic sprinkles, bubbles and jumping up and down like a frog 🐸! Today I did 5 sessions back to back and it has knocked it right out of me!! I hope little poppy seed isn’t as exhausted as me! My back hurts, I’m cramping, I have a headache and my legs are buggered! It’s all worth it though! 💪

fizzledays · 18/06/2018 17:22

Amazing thanks @hayley013!! X

Alicejj8x · 18/06/2018 17:25

@AliceRR
Ahh yes let's hope these babies stick and we all get a happy ending :)

bubblybrit · 18/06/2018 18:00

First day at work for me today after finding out about my pregnancy....feel very tired now I’m home.

Pretty bloated today and my legs feel as if I’ve ran a marathon. Although pretty minimal compared with some ladies on here. Hope you are all feeling ok today.

Called health centre today but they said that I need to call the early pregnancy department at the local hospital as it is then that will arrange everything and book scans etc....they were closed by the time I called this afternoon so onwards and upwards for tomorrow

Babybeany · 18/06/2018 18:56

@bubblybrit I went to my gp this evening asking for an early reassurance scan, my doctor told me that the nhs can’t ‘book’ them in. However when I reach roughly 8 weeks if I lie and say that I’m experiencing some out of the ordinary pain they can refer me straight away to the epu for a scan. 😉 x

hayleyfx · 18/06/2018 19:02

7 weeks today. My nausea is on and off, is anybody else’s really inconsistent? Just half an hour ago I was so nauseous all I could do was lie down, couldn’t even think about food and now I have to nip to the shop cause I’ve got so many cravings and gonna make the most of it haha!

My scan is tomorrow and I’m so nervous 🤞

maxiflump1 · 18/06/2018 19:06

Good luck for your scan tomorrow @hayleyfx. My nausea is the same: feel sick and lightheaded one minute and ravenous the next minute. I'm craving mayonnaise randomly!

Sorry if this is TMI but anyone else having any discharge down below? I seem to have a fair bit of creamy discharge at the mo and cant remember if I had it with DS?

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 18/06/2018 19:08

@maxiflump1 the last day or so I have, not loads and loads... but enough to want a panty liner in.

bubblybrit · 18/06/2018 19:09

@Babybeany. I’ve just found that everything takes soooo long! Would be nice to know that everything is ok so that I could relax a little xx

Babybeany · 18/06/2018 19:16

@bubblybrit I know! My doctor was really unsympathetic and basically said ‘what will be will be!’ Men have no fucking clue what is going on inside our heads! Anyway, I’m going to wait a few more weeks until I’m 8 weeks and then go from there. At least he gave me the heads up about the epu. To be honest I’d have probably done that anyway. X

MamaSarai · 18/06/2018 19:18

Ditto @maxiflump1 and @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking

Feeling much less bloated today, funny little bouts of nausea at various times throughout the day though. DH nipped out and got me some ginger biscuits so fingers crossed that helps the overnight ickyness!

Good luck for your scan @hayleyfx everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

MelC83 · 18/06/2018 19:18

I have felt nauseous all day off and on (whoever named it morning sickness should feel bad!!!) i can't wait to hear news of a scan date but going to be at least 5 weeks wait- will probably feel the longest 5 weeks ever! just having a plain potato for dinner as the thought of anything strong flavoured makes me feel even more icky! But I know little bean is going to be worth the nausea as long as he/she behaves and stays put!

FrowningFlamingo · 18/06/2018 19:31

Wow, I'm surprised your GP suggested that babybeany! That is brave if them - it would get them in some hot water ethically I'd think.

Found out that my grandad has told more people - regretting telling him now. He doesn't have dementia or anything. Just said he's pleased and wanted to tell people. Hmm

jeanzbeanz · 18/06/2018 19:36

@Seafoodeatit what were you prescribed? Would love to hear how quickly and what sort of effect it has on your nausea.

I've actually had a much better day today - ate a subway sandwich this evening which is the most I've eaten in one go for about a week. And I managed to do all the laundry. Feeling like superwoman!

bubblybrit · 18/06/2018 19:41

@Babybeany. Yeah I know what you mean. Men are useless with regards to these things. I thought the tww was long but this is certainly giving it a run for their money!

hayley013 · 18/06/2018 19:48

@maxiflump1 I do just when wiping.

Nausea is also very inconsistent, go from no appetite to all the appetites 😂 though I don't feel as wiped out tonight

hayleyfx · 18/06/2018 20:13

Thanks ladies, seems like I’m not the only one! I freak out everytime the nausea stops and then when it starts again I regret spending that time worrying! 🤣

@maxiflump1 @MamaSarai thank you both. I’m so nervous but hopefully I’ll have good news tomorrow 🤞

ronniemipperton · 18/06/2018 20:16

Got my 12 week scan date - 31st July. Feels like forever away! Haven’t heard anything else, just had a text confirming the appointment after I self referred online, but I guess that means I’m in the system.
