I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@Littleonek my symptoms have been pretty bad considering i'm only 4 + 4 today, i've had nausea, smells are making me heave! and i am so wobbly on my feet in the morning, and then with the wobbling comes the nausea and i can't bare to eat a thing! me and the dad had a night together last week and he couldn't apply any pressure to my boobs atall, they were so sore and the next morning they just ached all day, i'm trying not to worry about them being so prominent so soon, i suppose it's a reassurance but i'm not like this every day some days have been more settled, i hope this baby isn't going to be a troublemaker😂🙈

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 15:22

Less symptoms today. Fx little sesame seed is ok in there... 🤞

elocwildflowerxx · 17/06/2018 15:23

@MamaSarai my nausea is worse at night, i feel like i'm on a mattress aboard the ocean, it's at night when all the windy popping ripples in my stomach happen(apparently this is stretching) and i can't sleep atall, i haven't been getting to sleep until 2-3am most nights

congratulations to the newbies on the thread, it's really lovely to be able to share all things early pregnancy!😌

elocwildflowerxx · 17/06/2018 15:24

@Babybeany i'm having a better day symptom wise today, try not to worry! know it's easier said than done though, my day is better today than yesterday's by a long mile😘

sleighride5 · 17/06/2018 15:24

@leonora94 I have sorry boobs and the occasional cramp feel a bit sick every now and then but nothing severe and I've been eating away. I'm somewhere between 6+2 and 8 (depending on if it's my calc or the nurses). Hoping that its just beginners luck for me as is our first, but am getting a bit concerned. Fingers crossed x

elocwildflowerxx · 17/06/2018 15:28

@booxox congratulations! same kind of boat, except we were using condoms and the dodgy looking one i actually went for the morning after pill, so this bean has surpassed 2 methods of contraception and my irregular periods! my family keep telling me "it was obviously meant to be" so for that reason i'm hoping i won't miscarry, i had a miscarriage 4 and a half years ago ish, it's so easy to worry! but try and relax, yes i had 2 days of really really bad back pain it's came and went now and a few days after that i re tested and still got a positive test so try not to worry yourself😌

MamaSarai · 17/06/2018 15:29

Fingers crossed @Babybeany I'm sure it's all fine

I wouldn't say any of my symptoms are particularly strong @ronniemipperton. Everyone experiences pregnancy differently though so try not to worry too much (telling myself the same thing). I find I google every little thing - whatever gets you through the day with as little anxiety as possible Smile

MamaSarai · 17/06/2018 15:31

@elocwildflowerxx oof sounds horrible! Mine really isn't that bad at all, just get it when I wake up and generally I'm able to fall back to sleep at the moment. Hope you're able to start getting more sleep.

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 15:38

Thanks @elocwildflowerxx and @MamaSarai glad to have you lovelies to chat to as my boyfriend would get panicked too if I told him all of it!!

MelC83 · 17/06/2018 15:46

Think I'm driving my husband crazy already and he's right, even if I have an early scan I'll find something else to worry about instead so just going to wait until actual scan and hope everything is as should be! Congrats to everybody else with a little bean growing!

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 15:46

Although my nips are pretty tender! 🤭

clairehr · 17/06/2018 16:01

@Babybeany My symptoms seem to come and go from day to day, it always makes me worry when they disappear for a day!

clairehr · 17/06/2018 16:03

@fizzledays I know exactly what you mean, my OH is nervous, but he's also been through it all before so he's much more chilled than I am. Every twinge I'm in my phone looking it up, it's dangerous!

booxox · 17/06/2018 16:18

@elocwildflowerxx awww were in the same boat! That is pretty impressive to doge two forms of contraception. I'm glad I'm not the only one with back pain, every little thing and I'm getting nervous. I haven't told my parents yet, I'm not sure how best to go about it. I'm still at university and will be going into my final year so I'm not sure how my pregnancy will affect it all because I should be on placement around Feb time. I'm worried they will be really disappointed does anyone have any advice? x

Leonora94 · 17/06/2018 17:40

So I got through the weekend without anyone clocking and avoided booze with out detection, but just got off the phone from my dad who told me his partner is 12 weeks pregnant (I’m 24 my dads 45) 😂😂 I started to laugh so had to tell him! Looks like little bean will have an aunt or uncle of the same age...how’s that for a sibling age gap! 😂

jeanzbeanz · 17/06/2018 17:48

@Leonora94 that's funny!!

MelC83 · 17/06/2018 18:02

Does anyone on here do weight lifting? I attend classes 3 days a week and have been for the last couple years, just wondering if still good to carry on without warning my instructor or should I break the rules of waiting for the second trimester just in case? Midwife on phone said ok to continue with exercise but I have always been told heavy lifting when pregnant should be avoided (morning sickness permitting of course given I normally start at 6am and woken up feeling quite nauseous the last couple mornings)

MelC83 · 17/06/2018 18:04

@leonora94 that is funny! Least you have someone close to share the experience with too

Cloud9889 · 17/06/2018 18:47

I just wanna have a moan! I’m about 8 weeks pregnant with my third baby. I feel ROTTEN! I have not actually been sick but the nausea I have is relenting and just won’t go away. I also am exhausted and am doing bare minimum with the kids and the house etc as I just don’t have th energy. I never had symptoms like this with my last two children - when does it get better?! I had mild nausea a bit in my second pregnancy but nothing like this !

Skydiving · 17/06/2018 18:51

Melc no advice on cardio but I ran through my last pregnancy. I found the sickness just slows down my attempts at excercise and it gets less and less. Then perk up a bit in second trimester.
Then bump is heavy/in the way and it slows back down again.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/06/2018 18:54

@MelC83

Not sure on weight lifting.. I’m still doing my usual workout in the gym, leg press, ab work etc. as as far as I know it’s only crunches/sit ups that are to be avoided within that kind of bracket. I’d have thought weight lifting was a much higher impact exercise though?

I think high impact was to be avoided. Also wouldn’t the softening of connective tissues be a worry with that?

elocwildflowerxx · 17/06/2018 19:07

@booxox now don't quote me but my friend is 7 weeks in front of me and she's in her second year of uni she's training to be a teacher she told them and they were really helpful i can't remember if they said she could defer a year or they were going to let her do a fair bit from home and have stuff emailed to her! speak to HR if you have one at your university or whoever your main lecturer is or failing that the one you get along the best with, there is always options! babies are for life after all❤️

bubblybrit · 17/06/2018 19:08

Just had the worst cramp ever....was literally bent over, sweating and felt sick with the pain. This is the usual type of pain that I get every month with my period but not sure it’s ‘normal’ in early pregnancy as I’m only 5 + 2. Feel totally fine now and no bleeding or anything when I went to the toilet.

This is my first so no idea what is normal or not.

Anyone had the same type of cramps?

elocwildflowerxx · 17/06/2018 19:10

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking @MelC83 oh this is disappointing i really wanted to sort my arm fat out and even more so with finding out i'm pregnant i wanted them to avoid getting any bigger, it's not massive atall but i wanted to really work on my arms this next few months, i've lost 16.5lb so far so i'm kind of accepting that that will all be undone! i'm sure it's a good idea to keep up the gym/exercise if it's what your used too when pregnant so you keep your fitness levels up? that's what i've been reading online anyway (i know celebs aren't the most realistic but i saw lots of them on instagram still in the gym with big old bumps)

FrowningFlamingo · 17/06/2018 19:10

Wow leonora94 Shock I don't think I'd be very impressed to be honest. Though my stepmum hates children so I think I'll be ok!!

I told my grandad who was very pleased. I also told him not to tell anyone but he almost immediately called my aunt to tell her Hmm even worse as she has no children and I know she had fertility problems but decided not to have ivf as it wasn't widely available at the time. She seemed to take it well...
