I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

Hey Mel, Same due date as me at the moment 😊 congratulations! I had those stabbing pains last week, I think it's baby getting themselves nice and snug in there, if it's not too painful I'd think it's ok xx

MelC83 · 17/06/2018 08:59

Thanks Hayley, very reassuring and congratulations to you too! First midwife appointment isn't until 17th July and every twinge will probably have me going mad until my first scan (hoping that won't be too long after meeting with the midwife!)

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 09:01

Welcome and congratulations @MelC83 x

MrsY87 · 17/06/2018 09:53

Hi Mel same due date as me too! My mw appointment is 19th July feels like ages away! I'm still getting the odd twinge too and they have me on edge even though this is my 3rd!

hayley013 · 17/06/2018 10:02

I'm waiting for midwife to call me back with an appointment, they come out to your house to do it where I am.

I'm so tired today, DD has me up at 5:30 😫 and have to go for lunch for Father's Day, not feeling that but hey ho, if I have an appetite it will be nice I'm sure. Feel like I could sleep the day away today x

booxox · 17/06/2018 10:03

Hello everyone, I've just found out I'm pregnant with my first due 7th of Feb. Was a little bit of a surprise as I was still on the pill, but incredibly happy. I hope you don't mind me asking but has anyone else been getting lower back pain? Last night I was aching a lot so did some googling.. (very bad idea) and now I'm panicked xx

fizzledays · 17/06/2018 10:38

Hi all, in the same boat! First pregnancy, 5 weeks today, EDD 16th Feb. I'm so nervous at every twinge and feeling, terrifying! I self-referred to local hospital (although in same position as @Fredthespider and moving house in about 3 weeks!) and just waiting for appointment but looking to get in somewhere earlier at maybe 8 weeks if the appointment is later than that. Boobs mega sore!!

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 11:03

@booxox congratulations! Wow! Getting a sticky bean whist on the pill is impressive! FYI, lower back pain is part of life as I’ve known it for the last week! Get ready to feel completely exhausted and tired and sleepy and tired and yawn!! 😴

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 11:07

@fizzledays you’re due date is 2 days before mine! Congratulations to you! I’m going to try for a reassurance scan after a miscarriage last August. Otherwise I have to wait until August 10th for my first scan! Seems like a lifetime away! X

twiglet · 17/06/2018 11:34

@jeanzbeanz boots do a folic acid and vitamin D supplement which I think is pretty small. Mine are small but from NHS Scotland. I think you can also get chewable ones which maybe easier.

fizzledays · 17/06/2018 11:38

Yay congrats to you too @Babybeany! This is my first...and we fell pregnant the first time we "properly" tried at the right time. Been off birth control for 6 months but was so shocked it happened first time, I still can't quite believe it. Family member recently had a miscarriage so I'm very nervous...definitely looking into an 8 week scan at the mo and just taking day by day until then trying to do all the right things!

jeanzbeanz · 17/06/2018 12:11

@twiglet thanks. The ones I've got are gigantic and taste of ginger which is a bit off putting! Unfortunately ginger seems to make me feel more sick

clairehr · 17/06/2018 12:33

@fizzledays Same EDD here 😊 welcome and HH pregnancy to you!!

Littleonek · 17/06/2018 12:45

Congrats guys!

Im five weeks and two days today, due on the 15th Feb. Im not sure if this is accurate as Im not sure when I actually conceived as its a total surprise and I wasnt tracking my ovulation. Last period was May 11th.

Ive booked in for a private scan on the first week of july where I will be seven weeks. Booked it in as I have pcos so paranoid this isnt true and something will go wrong. Cost £89!

Crazy symptoms atm, nausea every evening and morning, sore boobs, sometimes random cramps but they have settled down now, my body feels super tired. Anyone had intense symptoms?

My mate is the same stage as me but has none. Hi

MelC83 · 17/06/2018 12:47

I'm still trying to convince hubby that an early scan is a good idea but he thinks I should just trust in my body and be patient! I see his point but just keen to know all is where it should be

MamaSarai · 17/06/2018 12:53

Afternoon all, and welcome to all the newbies! Congrats and wishing you all sticky beans!

@Wordie so sorry to hear this, thanks for sharing your experience though. Hope you're being looked after as you deserve.

@MelC83 I went for an early scan last week and was told it was still too soon to see anything (must have got my dates off by a week or so) but where I went they rebook you in for another scan in a few weeks time for free. Even though we could only see the gestational sac and no HB yet, it was reassuring to know that things were where they should be and it wasn't all in my head! Obviously it's up to you, but I would say anything you can do to put your mind at ease and keep stress/anxiety levels down is a good idea Smile

MamaSarai · 17/06/2018 12:57

Been feeling a bit nauseous the last few days, nothing overwhelming but definitely there. What I do find odd is that it tends to be overnight that I get it! Not actually been sick yet though, hoping in equal measure that it gets and doesn't get any worse.

bubblybrit · 17/06/2018 13:18

@Littleonek. Snap....I’m 5 + 2 today with the same symptoms as you. This is my first so nothing to compare it to but from what I read these symptoms seem to be normal! Only found out on Friday evening so yet to contact my GP surgery to make my first appointment. Hoping to feel less anxious as the weeks pass and scans have taken place!

fizzledays · 17/06/2018 14:04

Yay @clairehr !! :) I'm already finding this message board amazing. I've been so anxious and OH is so chilled about it all I've been googling frantically every time ANYTHING happens.

Thanks so much everyone x

ronniemipperton · 17/06/2018 14:05

Getting a bit worried about my lack of symptoms. I did have sore boobs but they’re not so bad now. Haven’t really had any nausea at all, and I’m tired but only in the way I’m usually tired after a heavy week at work. I know lots of people don’t have symptoms until later on or even at all but can’t help feeling a bit alarmed. Got an early scan on Friday though so not long to wait.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/06/2018 14:13

I haven’t got many symptoms at all... trying not to be all doom and gloom about it, but I’ve all but convinced myself this’ll be another loss.

That said, on my last MMC, I had strong symptoms all the way through, the day of surgery I was throwing up with morning sickness.

This is just a really horrible anxiety ridden time, I so want to enjoy it and be excited but it’s impossible.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/06/2018 14:14

What I’m trying to say (and should really take my own advice!) is that in my experience, there are no good/bad symptoms..! x

ronniemipperton · 17/06/2018 14:25

Wise words @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking, thank you! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Littleonek · 17/06/2018 14:42

Sorry to hear about your losses! Did they ever find out why you miscarriaged?

Im googling the symptoms less now! The last few days I was super worried about having cramps but now know that normal to have.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/06/2018 14:50

No reason given, they just didn’t develop into viable foetuses...

What will be will be though, I’m trying not to stress 😊
