I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

do you have a peek a baby near you? they are £45 for a dating/reassurance scan, but obviously so early they may be internal scan

GeorgieWish · 16/06/2018 16:18

Congratulations to you too! I’ve only done one test, I might go and buy another now! I’m so conscious of what my body is doing and taking any sign as a good one

Skydiving · 16/06/2018 16:22

Brandy if it makes you feeling heyter I was told after one miscarriage the chances of things going wrong a second time were really very low I do already have ds not sure about you.
They may not give you a scan, if you go down the route of paying privately, I would try, if you can, to wait another couple of weeks. So much more to see.

Leonora94 · 16/06/2018 16:48

Thanks guys! I guess it’s just hard to make comparisons but feel very reassured 😊 off to my 13 year old sisters “birthday disco” now which is possibly the worse thing I could imagen going to right now 😂

Lemon99 · 16/06/2018 16:50

@Leonora94 I’m the same as you, just tired and cramping, hopefully we’re just lucky! Sure we’ll be thinking how silly we were next week when we’re puking everywhere... but yes, it’s a bit odd when everyone else seems to have loads of symptoms!

clairehr · 16/06/2018 20:38

@Wordie I'm so so sorry to hear this. Sending lots of virtual hugs your way. So pleased you OH can be with you at this miserable time.

clairehr · 16/06/2018 20:42

@Leonora94 Same here, I am super tired and only have the occasional cramp now and then at this stage not like the first week, (and an ache in my back which comes and goes), only slightly tender boobs when I poke them to check, but feeling pretty normal. 5 weeks today so I'm hoping that I'll regret saying I wish I had more symptoms in a couple of weeks!

Bluelagoon25 · 16/06/2018 21:06

@Wordie I'm so sorry Sadsending lots of love your way Thanks

jeanzbeanz · 16/06/2018 21:16

Anyone else get really shivery?

I just spent a few minutes retching into the toilet and feel so much better now - but very shivery!

Celebelly · 16/06/2018 21:21

I'm just exhausted. Slept for 10 hours last night, had a two-hour nap this afternoon and now off to bed again as have zero energy. 😴😴😴

elocwildflowerxx · 16/06/2018 21:28

@Celebelly @jeanzbeanz constantly knackered and shivery too i either can't get warm or i'm sweating excessively, it's so fascinating how it does all this stuff to your body!

CarlyJayne1987 · 16/06/2018 21:29

almost 5 weeks here and have awful/uncomfortable back pain!! Normal??

Won't lie - i have a back back anyhow...but this just seems to be worse!

Comes and goes - ive exercised (walked), slept/rested/worked - normal?

Just things stretching i assume?!

CarlyJayne1987 · 16/06/2018 21:31

Oh - and most definately also have round ligament pain!!

Had that for a few days now - i am NOT complaining - very happy to be pregnant! anyone else have this?

Celebelly · 16/06/2018 21:32

I had bad back pain at like 4-5 weeks. It eased off but I still get it every so often. It was my first symptom tho! It was all in my lower back.

clairehr · 16/06/2018 21:43

@CarlyJayne87 I've had back pain from the beginning yes, horrendous at times, a dull ache at others. I assume this is purely everything stretching🤞it's not been so bad over the last day or so, pretty mild, just turned 5 weeks, so I'm keeping fingers crossed for a change of symptoms just to keep my on my toes!

CarlyJayne1987 · 16/06/2018 21:52

Thank you ladies!!! I am working 50 hour weeks so absolutely exhausted already!! wouldnt mind a few weeks off to stick my feet up already lol!!

hayleyfx · 16/06/2018 22:15

@jeanzbeanz that’s exactly how I felt this morning!

Was so sick this morning but I’ve managed to eat lunch and dinner today and I feel relatively normal right now. Felt the best I have in the past week so of course I’m stressing out but trying not to. When I feel sick I can’t wait to get a break from it and when I don’t - I want it for reassurance! No winning 🙈

hayley013 · 16/06/2018 22:18

@Wordie so sorry to hear, glad your OH is coming to support you, sending you lots of love.

@elocwildflowerxx my daughter will be almost 5 when this baby arrives. She starts school in September so that will help, she is a chatterbox, her mouth seriously never stops. I've also noticed all these new gadgets, the myhummy looks really good, and the sleepyhead I've seen too, my niece had one and slept a dream in it.

I'm slightly conscious that my symptoms aren't as bad as when I had DD, from what I can remember, which is not a lot, but I had terrible sickness with her and although I'm slightly nauseous if I don't keep eating, I'm relatively ok. On that note, I'm eating everything in sight, so much! 😳

I keep going from really excited to really nervous, which I guess is normal but i feel like I just need to calm down and have a bit of faith x

hayley013 · 16/06/2018 22:20

@jeanzbeanz glad you managed to feel a little better today. I had terrible sickness with dd but as soon as I hit 12 weeks it was gone, so there's hope!

Skydiving · 16/06/2018 22:21

Is anyone having awful headaches?
I’ve been doing the sickness/shivering then sweats but also this horrible headache.
I said to dp today I feel like I’ve got flu. Sickness definitely wasn’t so bad with ds.
I wonder if it’s a little girl this time!

jeanzbeanz · 17/06/2018 05:39

I didn't have my prenatal vitamin for the last two days 🙈 took one this morning and threw it up a few minutes later (down the side of DH's car). I think the combination of getting up early / swallowing a huge tablet with loads of water / a car journey was just too much for me!

jeanzbeanz · 17/06/2018 05:39

I think I need to find some smaller ones...

MrsY87 · 17/06/2018 06:15

@jeanzbeanz I find my vitamins make me feel really nauseous if I haven't eaten much when I take them. Have been wondering if just folic acid would be more gentle on my stomach!

@Wordie so sorry, glad you told your DH and he's came home. Take care of yourself

@CarlyJayne1987 I've got on and off back pain, it was awful between 4-5w but seems to have calmed down a bit now I'm nearly 6w. I remember it from my last pregnancy too so hopefully nothing to worry about.

Babybeany · 17/06/2018 06:46

@Celebelly I’m with you on the exhaustion! Asleep by 9:30 on the sofa so OH sent me to bed and only just woken up now... I’m taking afternoon naps for about an hour too.
@elocwildflowerxx I meant to mention, my sister brought her little boy into the world without the father but she most definitely didn’t do it on her own. All the family were there for her, in fact maybe even more supportive. I even moved in with her for the first few months (though I think she was happy when I buggered off!) you can most certainly do this!
@jeanzbeanz I have been having temperature changes too. One minute I’m boiling and having a tropical moment, the next I’m wrapping myself up in pjs and blankets!
@CarlyJayne1987 50 hour weeks! Whoa! Look after yourself! Give yourself plenty of rest in the evenings and at weekends. I don’t know how you’re doing it! 🤩
@Skydiving yes! Headache central over here! As soon as I eat or drink something I tend to feel better 😊
My OH is concerned about all the symptoms. Thinking that something must be wrong as some women don’t even know their pregnant for months! I’ve tried to tell him it’s very normal but he’s so concerned after the mmc last year.
Wow! That was my longest post ever! 🤭

MelC83 · 17/06/2018 07:36

Hi new here but I have a due date of 13th Feb and this will be my first so any twinge has me going insane!! Is it normal to have the odd stabby sensation in the middle of my belly? It is not unbearable it is just the occasional twinge! Thanks
