I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@Wordie firstly so sorry to read your news, thinking of you, rest up and let your other half look after you, be each other's comfort, sending lots of virtual love x x

GeorgieWish · 16/06/2018 15:06

I've had two blood tests that say I'm pregnant from ivf. I'm going to have an early scan next week as I've had an ectopic pregnancy before but I'm letting myself get excited as if it doesn't happen I'll be devastated anyway so might as well enjoy the happiness. I think I'm due 16 Feb

elocwildflowerxx · 16/06/2018 15:07

@jeanzbeanz the sickness ain't too bad really i've only actually been sick twice but once was out my nose and it was awful, i was very very sick with my little girl and it started from around 9-10 weeks until about 25 weeks, it was awful... my pregnancy test was very dark and i was only just 3 weeks when i tested, we don't have twins in my family i don't think but i miscarried unidentical twins around 4 years ago, it's making me paranoid and i'm not sure if it's a twin pregnancy again! is anyone else booking an early scan for reassurance?

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking @ClaireLouise82 what age are your youngest children now if you have any? my memory is terrible at the moment i can't find the first messages that say, do you feel out of touch? i've been googling everything i feel like i don't remember anything and so much has changed since my last pregnancy 6 years ago...

and what about all the new baby gadgets?! the my hummys, sleepy heads etc there's so much different stuff isn't there, do you only see your midwife at a certain stage? i can't remember anything ladies!

@Wordie I’m so sorry. I’m glad you’ve told your OH and everyone has been understanding, sounds like you have good support. Be kind to yourself. Sending love x

elocwildflowerxx · 16/06/2018 15:08

@GeorgieWish congratulations! yes definitely enjoy it, try and think positive, i know it's hard i keep trying to stop myself from constantly doing pregnancy tests! your only 4 days behind me i'm supposedly due 20th feb

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 16/06/2018 15:14

@elocwildflowerxx

My youngest is 10, he’ll be 11 if/when this one is born.

It has all changed so much!! I’ve been pregnant twice before in the last year so I’ve had a couple of mini runs (still undecided if I want the flu jab..).
With my other children the nuchal fold scan wasn’t standard, I paid private before, now I’m pleased to see it’s covered by the NHS but the harmony test is now a thing.. will probably be going for that as I’m a bit older now.

Anything that might be the same I’ve probably forgotten anyway (except the crowning... remember ALL of that 😩), and I’ve still no idea how to hold a newborn comfortably..

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 16/06/2018 15:23

@elocwildflowerxx

Also, not sure about any new gadgets!! I’m holding off even looking at the moment due to recent MMCs, I don’t want to get my hopes up before the 12/13 weeks mark.
I have my booking in appointment on the 25th, and my nuchal dating scan on the 6th July... but I’m still nervous. I had an early scan last time due to previous MMC, saw a strong heart beat etc. but went in to bad news at a later scan unfortunately..

I alternate between trying to forget I’m pregnant and trying desperately to identify any and all symptoms 😬

Skydiving · 16/06/2018 15:23

Hi everyone I’ve just had it confirmed I am six weeks pregnant, straight after a miscarriage. Due 10/2/18.
Second child, have one ds age 3.
I am very ill with morning sickness at the moment Sad. It’s really sucking the life out of me today.
If anyone knows of any cures please let me know.
I’ve put on a bit weight already just eating all of the carbs I can, it’s the only thing that seems to help me feel slightly better.

elocwildflowerxx · 16/06/2018 15:31

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking wow that's a big gap! you'll have lots of help though so that's deffo a positive! i haven't searched for the gadgets as such myself but i have lots of moms on instagram that i see all these new bits and bobs all the time! it's madness how much is different and all the different stuff you can buy now! i might ring my doctor and see about a reassurance scan because of my previous miscarriage, i do feel constantly on edge this time round. i've already done 2 extra tests and i've brought a pack of 10 so i think it's going to turn into an obsessive thing and i don't want it too, it's so easy to become fixated on still being pregnant though isn't it..

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 16/06/2018 15:40

@elocwildflowerxx

My eldest will be about to turn 13... perfect babysitting age.. 👌😂

This will be my first child with my partner (my two are from a previous relationship, and he doesn’t have any.. yet), he will be an amazing dad 😍

Far too easy, I could easily become obsessed and drive myself crazy..

There is literally no reassurance that exists that would make me feel confident right now though, it’s just a case of wait and see... I’ve only known I’m pregnant for 10 days, feels like months!! 😩

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 16/06/2018 15:44

Just about to hit 5 weeks! Exhausted and still a little cramping but the has 😱😱😱😱 I'm particulate housebound as it feel constant and smells awful!! 😭😭

Leonora94 · 16/06/2018 15:46

Hi guys, I’m a little bit worried about my lack of symptoms, I’m not off food, don’t feel sick my boobs don’t even hurt and haven’t changed at all. I think I’m 6 weeks and the tests keep saying positive but it’s making me nervous. The only thing I have is the occasional cramp, although it feels more like a dull pulling. I’m quite tired and need to wee a lot. Is this still normal to feel so little? It’s my first and I haven’t told anyone apart from DH. Sorry to hear other people are having a shit time of it today ♥️ X

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 16/06/2018 15:47

@Leonora94 I wouldn't worry about it. Some people really don't have "symptoms" and breeze through!

Babybeany · 16/06/2018 15:48

@elocwildflower I am going to call my gp this week to ask for a referral for an early scan after mmc last August. I’m not even sure if they’ll do it? I had an mmc at 6 weeks last time so I would feel much happier if at week 7/8 I could have an early one to see a heartbeat. I’ve poas 3 times so far. But don’t have any more so I’m pretty sure that’ll be it for me with POAS now!
I wouldn’t worry about all the new gadgets, the most important things are to keep baby fed, safe and alive... although some of the stuff does look like it’s quite fun eh?! 😉

Seafoodeatit · 16/06/2018 15:50

@Leonora94 Peeing lots, cramps and tiredness are very much symptoms and some of the most common so you're not alone or symptom-less! You might be lucky with the nausea or you might get it later.

Skydiving · 16/06/2018 15:50

I feel terrible as I have cancelled going out for my friends 30th birthday tonight.
I really do feel guilty about it, but they were going for Thai food and the smell would make me gag and I’m just so exhausted.
Leonora I wouldn’t worry to much some people don’t get sick till later on like 8-9 weeks and I’ve known plenty have pregnancies where they feel great.
I think a worse sign is if you have sickness then it dissappears, this happens to me with my miscarriage.

Babybeany · 16/06/2018 15:50

@Leonora94 what @MrsSnootyPants2018 says! Remember Sonia from eastenders didn’t find out until she gave birth on the bathroom floor! 🤪

Babybeany · 16/06/2018 15:52

@Skydiving I cancelled plans last night too. If people see me not drinking they wouldn’t believe me if I told the antibiotics story! 🤣

Skydiving · 16/06/2018 15:56

I’m not a huge drinker anyways so thought I may have got away with a pretend ‘virgin vodka and coke’, but the moment all I can to is lie in front of the tv and eat plain biscuits. Do has had to take ds out to keep him entertained because mummy is so poorly.

elocwildflowerxx · 16/06/2018 16:06

@MrsSnootyPants2018 same! 4 + 3 here and absolutely zonked all the time, i slept really well the other night and felt so tired and i slept awfully last night and felt so tired, so i'm just accepting that exhaustion is here to stay for a while!

anyone else had any imbalance yet? i'm constantly bumping into things, and if i'm not doing that i feel a bit bambi like, not faint just unsteady.. i don't remember this with my other pregnancy.

is everyone with the partners? i think i may be on this journey alone.. we have more of a friendship relationship, he has an older child so i have a feeling i'll be at it alone. few friends and family have reassured me that i won't actually be alone, but it's that shitty feeling😞

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 16/06/2018 16:10

@elocwildflowerxx all the same here!! With Dd I was just sick a lot and that was it.

This time I get a bit of nausea when driving or from the smell when filling my car up!

I just want to get to the appointments and scan bit. With dd I never truly felt or believed I was pregnant until I saw her splodge o the screen

Jeshka07 · 16/06/2018 16:10

Ive been bumping into a lot recently! Didnt think it was anything to do with pregnancy!!

elocwildflowerxx · 16/06/2018 16:12

@Jeshka07 oh thank god! i was reading that it's not the most common i don't feel like i'm going to faint i just feel really clumsy!

Jeshka07 · 16/06/2018 16:14

@elocwildflowerxx im normally clumsy anyway but definitely tripping over and walking into things more!

maxiflump1 · 16/06/2018 16:15

@Babybeany I'm not sure that the GP will give you a reassurance scan if you've only had one mc. Most trusts will only do it for multiple losses. You can book a private scan though for around the £60 mark: most mothercare's have a private scan facility. Good luck
