I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

Hi 👋

Can I join? TTC for one year with a 6 week miscarriage and 7 week MMC at 12 week scan. Feeling a little anxious that this will be the same but naturally I am excited too.

3rd time lucky and I am due 18th Feb 19 👶🏼

KimRobs87 · 15/06/2018 07:06

Wow, talk about nauseous! It really kicked in yesterday, felt sick pretty much all day (and in the night). Haven't actually been sick though.

Welcome to all newcomers xx

Babybeany · 15/06/2018 07:14

@Frowningflamingo Hi! It’s so lovely to have some friendly names here! How are you getting on? X

clairehr · 15/06/2018 07:36

Hi to all newcomers, and congratulations!

Woken up today with my hips and back aching, OH is reassuring me that it's just ligaments stretching, just hoping he's right! 🤞

Bluelagoon25 · 15/06/2018 07:43

@Leonora94 just have lemonade so it still has the bubbles with a slice of lemon/lime! Smile

I feel the worst in the evenings just before bed, horrendous nausea but only been sick once so far!
First time pregnant so all a new experience, 5 weeks now so just hoping everything stays good... can't wait until everyone can know, so hard keeping it a secret! Thanks

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 15/06/2018 07:46

@ronniemipperton fab work on avoiding detection!
I'm trying to come up with a plan of action for a mini BYOD festival next weekend which usually involves copious amounts of prosecco and wine and all sorts from 1-11sat and 12-8sun 🙈 if I claim antibiotics they will see right through it. I think I'm going to have to accept a glass and then subtly ditch it (I'm sorry prosecco!) and then move on to 'gin' (tonic water) hoping everyone will get drunk quickly so they don't notice?!

ronniemipperton · 15/06/2018 08:42

@Leonora94 mums are tricky, I gave in and told mine as she’s too hard to deceive!

Though I reckon generally if you’re wandering around with a half empty glass no-one pays too much attention, especially if they’re drinking as well.

maxiflump1 · 15/06/2018 08:42

Gosh my nausea has kicked in now. Am 6+1 and felt so sick all night. This morning I have been sick although just liquid. Not sure if pregnancy related or bug as didn't have any sicknsss with DS. Urgh....

KimRobs87 · 15/06/2018 08:56

@maxiflump1 - that was me last night! Felt so rough all evening and then in the night. I still felt rough when I got to but feel much better after having some toast. Not really sure what's best for nausea? X

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 15/06/2018 08:59

Does anyone else feel nausea when driving? My daily commute is now awful! It's not long but I feel like crap!

When I had my dd, I couldn't drive so this is totally new to me.

craftymum01 · 15/06/2018 09:04

@MrsSnootyPants2018 I had that with my DS. Was driving home from work and threw up all over my steering wheel! Wasn't pleasant

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 15/06/2018 09:05

@craftymum01 that's what I'm afraid of!!

craftymum01 · 15/06/2018 09:06

@MrsSnootyPants2018 I kept a carrier bag to hand after that Smile

hayley013 · 15/06/2018 09:26

@Leonora94 I'm worse for nausea on an evening, then can't get to sleep!

@Bluelagoon25 I find the best thing for it is eating.

I haven't vomited at all but feel sick most the day, though this morning don't feel as awful, maybe because I got to sleep at a reasonable hour last night, thankfully!

KimRobs87 · 15/06/2018 09:33

Does anyone have any tips for nausea? I really think I just need to eat little and often but what to eat? I don't want to be the size of a house if I can help it lol x

Wellthisunexpected · 15/06/2018 09:47

I find I feel worse if I don't eat, but also if I eat too much! I've got rich tea biscuits to nibble on as dry stuff seems to work better than fruit or vegetable.

KimRobs87 · 15/06/2018 09:54

@Wellthisunexpected - Yeah fruit and veg just doesn't cut it! If happily snack on biscuits all day but after my first pregnancy I really want to avoid gaining so much 😩 lol x

hayley013 · 15/06/2018 10:14

I've found eating little and often is defo the trick. I've been having sliced apple, frozen grapes, crackers with little bit of Philadelphia, cuppa soup, crisps, ginger biscuits

twiglet · 15/06/2018 10:17

I've not been sick but have nausea waves I've found corn cakes to be pretty good at helping Sainsbury's do multi packs including chocolate covered ones.

Lily311 · 15/06/2018 10:23

Welcome to all the newcomers. I went for a private scan last night and there were 2 heartbeats. I am totally shocked as I really really don't want twins. I need to go back in 2 weeks time to see whether they both stay or one twin vanishes. One was smaller than the other but the heartbeat was stronger. We shall see. I am 7weeks already, due on 1st February.

Seafoodeatit · 15/06/2018 10:30

@ronniemipperton - brilliantly done!

@Karigan198 - I hope it all goes well for you Flowers

@FH14 Welcome and congratulations :)

I'm relying on cut up fruit and rice cakes for nausea, so jealous of all you ladies eating cakes and biscuits! I lost just over 3 and a half stone before falling pregnant and my bmi is 29 so I can't afford to gain weight especially so early on, I'm hoping to continue losing through first tri - nausea again really helping if I ignore my craving for cake, chips and cheese!

maxiflump1 · 15/06/2018 10:32

Wow @Lily311 what a shock for you! Is there a history of twins in either of you families? Do u mind me asking how old you are?

Lily311 · 15/06/2018 10:34

No history in either families. I'm 38 turning 39 in a couple of months and I have a DD who is nearly 6.

maxiflump1 · 15/06/2018 10:36

Wow! I know the chances of twins increase as you get older. I'm 37 nearly 38 and it's something I worry about. Thanks for you x

welshweasel · 15/06/2018 10:41

Wow twins...not sure how I’d feel about that!! Just waiting for my scan at the ivf clinic. 6+2 and v anxious!
