I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@clairehr I use the Ovia one, I've used the fertility and pregnancy for my last two children so it feels like a tradition to use them now Grin

ValentinesBaby · 13/06/2018 22:43

5 weeks tomorrow very exciting. Extremely bloated so glad to know it's not just me. Wish I had loose stools I don't think I've been in over a week despite drinking constantly Confused also to let people know Groupon have some great deals on scans, I booked a reassurance scan for 8 weeks and it was £25 and has really good reviews. Bit of a drive but worth it I think Smile

CarlyJayne1987 · 13/06/2018 23:22

Forgot about group on scans!!

Evening ladies...hope you are all doing ok.

Incredibly bloated here and almost got busted by someone I work with asking me...I look huge (I'm quite slim anyhow so it's pretty obvious!)

Take care all x

ClaireLouise82 · 14/06/2018 07:30

Hi All

I've booked a reassurance scan locally at 8 weeks for £45 which thought was pretty reasonable but different areas probably charge different prices. Its booked in for 2 weeks today and I can't wait 😊

I feel bloated too and feel like I'm already starting to show (not sure if I'm just imagining it) but keep thinking someone's going to notice at work. Someone has already told me I look different but they don't know why! I think you are supposed to show earlier in your second pregnancy but I didn't think this early lol. I was about 20 weeks plus with my first before I started to show. Might be buying maternity clothes quicker than I fhought this time 😂 Xx

KimRobs87 · 14/06/2018 07:59

@ClaireLouise82 - I'm already wearing maternity jeans! My bloat was unreal and figured there was no point buying a bigger pair of normal jeans that I wasn't going to fit in for long. I feel the same about people at work though, I'm sure someone is going to figure it out. I've noticed I keep getting asked if I want another all of the sudden, it like they just know! X

hayleyfx · 14/06/2018 08:22

Spent an hour last night with my head in the toilet dry heaving 🤦‍♀️ Got so bored I put Netflix on my phone so I had something to do 🤣 keep randomly feeling like I’m going to be sick now, I’m actually going to keep a plastic bag on me haha! Telling myself though if it means bub is growing then it’s worth it 🤞

Topsy15 · 14/06/2018 09:05

@maxiflump1 that's exciting! We are 6 weeks now! I'm not bloated yet if anything I've gone right off food which is so unlike me just don't fancy anything at all it's weird!

I am super worried about being interrogated though is gonna be unlike me not drinking and people are so quick to directly ask you aren't they, anyone else have this issue?? ConfusedWine. I don't want to be forced into telling people too soon!

clairehr · 14/06/2018 09:10

Did another test last night and it was lovely and dark, today I have pre-AF cramps back and it's scaring me, I know it's normal, but my head's gone into overdrive.

Bluelagoon25 · 14/06/2018 09:34

@Topsy15
Yes I am finding it so hard to not drink without people questioning me... I have a hen doo at the end of the month Confused so I might have to tell the bride to be a few days before.
I hate lying to people but I'm not ready to tell everyone yet. X

Celebelly · 14/06/2018 09:37

@Topsy15 I've been off food in general last few days too. I don't feel nauseous or anything, I just don't really fancy eating.

The only thing I wanted the other night was a Chinese but then my DP went to call them to order and they were closed so I cried BlushBlushBlush

Celebelly · 14/06/2018 09:38

I'm six weeks today! GrinGrinGrin

Still got sore boobies and bloating and am tired but that's all. My dad is coming to visit today and I wasn't planning on telling him till 12 weeks but it would be nice to do it face to face...

twiglet · 14/06/2018 09:45

@topsy15 yep finding it hard for excuses so far I have used I lost at rock paper scissors so hubby gets to drink and I'm driving. Using the dog as an excuse not to use the train for a night out and the excuse for 2 weeks time is antibiotics.....
We haven't told anyone yet (not even parents waiting until midwife appointment) as I'm partly paranoid of cursing it (had a chemical MC earlier in the year) partly because my FIL has cancer and I think my MIL is going to call us selfish (despite being 32 and married for 3 years...) and partly because I like keeping it between us with no annoying questions!
I'm really suffering with tiredness and headaches every day. No being sick but occasional waves of nausea.

seafoodeatit · 14/06/2018 09:58

I really think it should be a social custom to not ask women if they're pregnant!!! If they haven't said anything themselves then they either don't want to announce or just aren't pregnant and you've just insulted them. It's the start of a weird time in life where every man and his dog thinks they can comment on your pregnancy.

seafoodeatit · 14/06/2018 09:59

@twiglet I'm very sorry to hear your FIL is going through cancer and I hope that your MIL's reaction is nothing like that, that would be very nasty of her.

craftymum01 · 14/06/2018 10:02

It's hard isn't it. I hate lying to people but because we had a mc in January people ask us a lot if we are trying again. They never asked us after our DS was born. I told my mum as she made a comment and actually it's been helpful her knowing as she can make me decaf coffee without making a fuss in front of other people. Took a little of the stress out of it.

twiglet · 14/06/2018 10:10

I also hope that she doesn't too but it wouldn't be surprising if she did. My FIL is doing OK just had stem cell treatment he's up and about but she doesn't cope with having her life changed by having to take him to appointments etc. We have already been called inconsiderate because we are visiting once a month (it's 1000 mile round trip). We know she lashes out because she is worried etc hence knowing its a possibility!

welshweasel · 14/06/2018 10:15

Urgh...nausea terrible today. We’re moving house tomorrow so I have loads to do but can’t face getting up from the sofa. I’m finding I need to eat constantly to feel better so am going to be enormous. Early scan at ivf clinic tomorrow when I’ll be 6+2 so keeping fingers crossed all looks ok. I’ll tell my parents when I see them next week if scan is alright.

Leonora94 · 14/06/2018 10:19

Can I join? Got my BFP yesterday and the midwife on the phone said I'm probably due on the 5th of Feb, It's my first ever time being pregnant and I'm terrified! Only symptoms have been a few cramps, suddenly travel sick in cars (no vom but feel awful...only in moving cars though) and so tired. The working day seems impossibly long and I can't concentrate on anything other than the fact I'm knocked up and bricking it!

hayleyfx · 14/06/2018 10:29

@KimRobs87 ooh that’ll be interesting to see if she’s right! X

hayley013 · 14/06/2018 11:29

@welshweasel I'm exactly the same, need to eat every hour to keep the nausea at bay, need to go buy some healthy snack food, but just don't know what I fancy.

@Leonora94 congrats! Im feeling a little overwhelmed and this is my 2nd, hormones playing a part in that I think x

Kintan · 14/06/2018 11:39

Can I join in too? Got our BFP last week after ttc for 9 months. If all goes well there will be 2 years and 1 one between this baby and my son. Can I ask when people started getting morning sickness? I didn’t get it all last time I was pregnant but am having slight waves of nausea so wondering if this is the start of it. According to the glow app I’m 5 weeks and 4 days and due on Feb 10th :)

clairehr · 14/06/2018 11:53

@Leonora94

All of the love for this!! Like, ALL of it!! I'm exactly the same 😂

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 14/06/2018 12:33

I can barely get through a day in the office!! I'm always a second away from falling asleep.

clairehr · 14/06/2018 12:54

Early scan booked for July 3rd - eeeeeekkk!! Will be 7+3.

jeanzbeanz · 14/06/2018 13:00

Really struggling to find things I feel like eating. We have no kitchen atm (8 weeks into a very large renovation / extension project) so quite restricted in what I can prepare at home. Just took myself to Sainsbury's and filled a trolley with whatever took my fancy 😂.... lots of chocolate and biscuits, Seabrooks crisps, toast, mini milk lollies, fruit lollies, microwave pizzas, grapes, Mr Kiplings cakes.. let's hope this gets me eating again!! Actually can't wait for a mini milk - might have one for lunch!
