I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

@Topsy15 agree it doesn't seem real, and also lovely to be alongside lots of people at same stage. Anyone else seriously tired by the afternoon? I'm wiped out! But then comes to bedtime and ping, wide awake Hmm

hayley013 · 13/06/2018 15:45

Yay @PonyPals congrats on that little heartbeat 😘😘

hayleyfx · 13/06/2018 15:51

@KimRobs87 I think we are, I’m due 4th February, how about you? Yeah my scan is private, it’s £100 so pretty expensive but I just have to get one, I’m so nervous after my missed MC. Fingers crossed for good news. If you really want one and think it’ll help then go for it! 😊

Bluelagoon25 · 13/06/2018 16:03

@Wordie we have actually booked a private scan for 7 weeks... so looking forward to that! Bit expensive but we think it will be worth it.

clairehr · 13/06/2018 16:08

@hayley013 Oh my word yes!! 3.30 I hit the wall!

KimRobs87 · 13/06/2018 16:29

@hayleyfx - Yeah 4th Feb. My sister has been telling me I'm having twins and I feel like I need to know! I totally get why you'd want one, very reassuring x

clairehr · 13/06/2018 18:01

All this talk of early scans has got me thinking I'd like one for reassurance. Unsure whether to wait and book it after I've seen doctor on Monday or bite the bullet now so I can start relaxing. What did everyone else do?

maxiflump1 · 13/06/2018 18:48

@Topsy15 we are due date buddies as I'm due on the 7th too (am 11 year older then you though Grin)

Still have major bloat going on and my trousers seem to be getting tight and I'm only 6 weeks!

Seafoodeatit · 13/06/2018 18:50

@PonyPals I'm glad to hear your scan went well :)

@clairehr if it will help you relax and feel better then I say book it in now!

I've had a mix of nausea and migraines today, I forgot how horrible they are in pregnancy.

Wames90 · 13/06/2018 19:18

@thetittifers
How lovely to see you on this thread after our difficult late AFs in April! I also got my BFP at the end of May and have a EDD of 1st Feb! How are you feeling so far? Congratulations 😬

MrsY87 · 13/06/2018 19:28

Nausea has hit me this afternoon and I'm exhausted! Have had both kids at home all day today so it's been pretty full on but they are finally in bed so I'm now sat on the sofa trying to find the energy to tidy up & cook dinner before DH gets home in an hr! I'd forgotten about how the tiredness just wipes you out!

FrowningFlamingo · 13/06/2018 19:48

I'm five weeks today (hurray!). Feeling tired and sore boobs still but nothing too dramatic so far. I did another IC today as if bought loads so am enjoying seeing the line darken. Today's was great - came up before the control and was as dark as the control too. So I might try and stop doing them now!
I was thinking of booking a scan at 6 plus 3 but I'm worried that if it's too soon to see a heartbeat I won't be free to have a rescan for ages and will probably just worry even more.
I'm thinking of having a harmony test at 10 weeks though, it's very expensive :s have any of you thought about having one?

Wellthisunexpected · 13/06/2018 19:55

@clairehr I tend to get looser, then from 8 ISH weeks get awful bloating and stomach pain.

clairehr · 13/06/2018 19:58

@FrowningFlamingo Congrats on 5 weeks 😊 I did another test today, I had a spare, and it was so lovely seeing the line come up before the control line and SOOOO much darker than a couple of days ago despite it being an evening wee rather than FMU 😂

I've seen that they do private Harmony tests, I've not really thought about having one myself, but I can see how they would put your mind at ease, or help you prepare.

FrowningFlamingo · 13/06/2018 20:04

Thanks Clairehr - I know it's still really early but 4 plus something just didn't feel real whereas 5 weeks does somehow!
I have also had loose bowels - not that unusual for me but worse than usual.

Also forgot to say I called about my scan and they've moved it forward to twelve weeks. Said they don't know how it happened that it was booked for 15 something! Good job I was paying attention!

clairehr · 13/06/2018 20:05

Anyone using a pregnancy app by the way? Looking to download one and not sure which are best.

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 13/06/2018 20:10

@clairehr I've got Glow and Ovia pregnancy apps-trying to decide which I prefer atm!!

MamaSarai · 13/06/2018 20:15

Welcome to all the newcomers, congrats and sending lots of vibes for sticky beans!!

@hayley013 your post about about the afternoon made me lol - this is definitely me!

@clairehr I went for the private scan and to be honest I came out of it feeling 50/50 because I was told it's too early and will need to go back in 2 weeks. However, a re-scan is completely free with the company I'm using (Babybond) so that's good. Also the staff I dealt with were really lovely and professional.

valentinesbaby2019 · 13/06/2018 20:15

@FrowningFlamingo Congrats! I'm 5 weeks today too! It really does feel like a milestone. I think because I lost my first just before 5 weeks I haven't been letting myself believe in this one (still not fully convinced but feels like I've turned a corner maybe). I tested a couple of days ago and had a lovely dark line so I'm going to try not to test again.

Also feeling tired and sore in the general chest area (armpits and chest as well as boobs). I'm sure I'll regret saying this but I'm kind of looking forward to sickness etc just to prove this is real!

Haven't thought about what scans to do yet. I'm abroad so I think things are a bit different here anyway. My first ultrasound is on 27th June, I'll be 7 weeks. Can't wait!

hayley013 · 13/06/2018 20:17

I've got Pregnancy+ app which is great! Also very bloated tonight. I'm finding I can only eat little but often, really feeling it today, but we can't complain can we Hmm

hayley013 · 13/06/2018 20:18

@FrowningFlamingo @valentinesbaby2019 I'm also 5w today Smile

hayley013 · 13/06/2018 20:19

@MamaSarai the afternoon struggle is real 😂😂

MamaSarai · 13/06/2018 20:22

@hayley013 😂😂😂

Fredthespider · 13/06/2018 20:30

I'm on the fence about a private scan at the moment. We're hosting a party with friends at the end of July. I'll be 12+5 so really hoping that the scan comes in before that so we can announce it. I think if the scan date is after the party I might try to encourage OH to book something for around the 8-9 week mark.

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 13/06/2018 20:53

@Wames90 hi!! Our bodies must have been gearing up for mega ovulation 🤣!

The afternoon struggle is definitely real, I have been grazing non-stop and now feel like I'm about to burst. Pretty sure I had a few cheeky naps early whilst 'watching' my toddler watch Thomas...I mean I really should just go to bed right now but I'm holding out for Love Island 🙈 I'm kind of taking it as a countdown to 12 week scan time!!
