I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

I'm so sorry @LouiseD2018 how awful for you. I hope you have lots of good support in RL x

somethingfromnothing · 12/06/2018 14:04

So sorry @LouiseD2018 I had an ectopic a few years ago. Although I was lucky and avoided surgery it was very traumatic. Take care of yourself.

Seafoodeatit · 12/06/2018 14:27

@LouiseD2018 I'm so very sorry for what you've had to go through, I hope you're able to go home to your family asap.

MamaSarai · 12/06/2018 15:02

So sorry to hear about this @LouiseD2018, hope you able to go home soon. Please take care of yourself.

It's crazy reading all of your stories about when your appointments are - just that it can vary so much between the trusts in the different areas!

Took another test yesterday, I know I should stop POAS but got to do something to reassure myself before the second early scan on the 23rd.

My midwife appointment is actually on the 22nd, the day before, does anyone know what goes on at that appointment other than information/booking in? Does the midwife do any kinds of tests (urine etc.)?

waves to @jeanzbeanz & KimRobs87 - another Yorkshire (North Leeds) lady here as well so will be good to see what kinds of timescales you guys get!

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 12/06/2018 15:50

Oh @LouiseD2018 I'm so so sorry to see your news-I can't imagine how awful this is for you. I hope you get home really soon xx

KimRobs87 · 12/06/2018 16:28

@MamaSarai - hello! Another Yorkshire bird 😂😂

I believe at your first they do info etc but take blood too. If I remember right I'm sure I had to give a urine sample but think they checked for protein? (Never actually confirmed my first pregnancy). I think they book your 12 week scan too xx

@LouiseD2018 - sending love xx

LouiseD2018 · 12/06/2018 16:36

Thank you, everyone.

Il hopefully be leaving tonight or tomorrow still waiting to find out.

Good luck all with your pregnancies I hope your journeys are a smooth going as can be x

MamaSarai · 12/06/2018 16:40

@KimRobs87 - lol!!

That's great thanks, I actually had a read of the NHS antenatal appointments guide (rather than just glancing at it) and it does say they do a BP and urine test. No mentioned of bloods though:

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/antenatal-appointment-schedule/

My BP has always been super high though - fingers crossed it doesn't cause any issues Confused. The 22nd feels like such a loooong time away! Trying to stay chill (not succeeding Grin)

somethingfromnothing · 12/06/2018 16:57

I’m in Scotland and my booking in appointment isn’t until I’ll be 10 weeks! I’ve got my scan when I’m 12.5 weeks. When I had my dd it was different and everything was done at the 12 week appointment.

I’m so bloated. I look 5 months and I’m not even 5 weeks yet! I’m hoping that calms down a bit.

jeanzbeanz · 12/06/2018 16:58

I honestly am looking so huge and pregnant 😨 even vaguely wondering if my last period was actually an implantation bleed and I'm 12 weeks, not 6. Of course this is basically impossible as I'm only just starting to get pregnancy symptoms and I did a FR test last weekend which said 2-3 weeks pregnant. But I've got so much stomach!! It's not particularly wobbly or soft like bloat either. Anyone else?!

jeanzbeanz · 12/06/2018 16:59

@somethingfromnothing Cross posts!! It's not just me then!

MamaSarai · 12/06/2018 17:02

No I know what you both mean - feeling so fat and bloated, put some trousers on this morning that I fit into fine this time last week and today they are really tight and uncomfortable. Boobs are feeling weirdly bigger as well, don't know if it's real or all in my head Hmm

jeanzbeanz · 12/06/2018 17:06

Boobs are huge but I expected that. I didn't expect to have a round belly and not be able to fit into half of my clothes at 6 weeks 😔 despite eating about half of what I used to

somethingfromnothing · 12/06/2018 17:17

Glad I’m not alone! I think I’m going to have to wear some loose dresses and leggings because my skinny jeans look and feel awful!

clairehr · 12/06/2018 17:42

I'm dreading the bloat, purely because my uniform doesn't have a lot of leeway, and not sure how to ask for the next size up without a) them guessing I'm pregnant, or b) assuming I've become a massive pig over the last few weeks!

Wordie · 12/06/2018 17:46

I’m definitely at the bloat stage too! Any one else still doing pregnancy tests, just to make sure they’ve not imagined it or is that just me?!?

MamaSarai · 12/06/2018 18:05

@Wordie yep 😂

Seafoodeatit · 12/06/2018 18:12

@Wordie - I've done one cheapie and I have one left, that's my excuse, I had already bought them.

Feeling very bloated and increasingly nauseous, I feel hungry but there is nothing I want to eat.

KimRobs87 · 12/06/2018 18:12

Bloat stage for me too! If I didn't know my cycle you'd really think I was 5 months lol x

jeanzbeanz · 12/06/2018 18:25

Yesss @Seafoodeatit hungry but nothing I want to eat sums me up too! So far today I've had an apple and three crumpets. I'm sort of dizzy and hungry but don't know what to eat - don't fancy anything!

CarlyJayne1987 · 12/06/2018 19:05

Evening ladies.

Same with the bloating...just 4 weeks and a bit - so literally just - and i look 6 months never mind 4 weeks - im hugely bloated.

Genuinely couldnt care how uncomfortable i am though as long as our little squidge is ok!!

That said - the wind....................oh god.... LOL
