I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

Can i join to?!

just posted a thread - had my BFP this morning - had an early miscarriage last time...so very cautiously happy :)

Every twinge im praying everything is ok - this one feels much more "settled" this time! cant explain it!

Wordie · 11/06/2018 18:18

@Littled0t glad it’s not just me worrying, I feel obsessed! I’ll have a look online. Which did you use? And what was your odds?

hayleyfx · 11/06/2018 18:24

@Wordie I’ve attached a pic of the website I use! It’s nice to get the reassurance, even if it’s only temporary. It also puts a positive spin on the odds. It’s called datayze. I totally understand the worry, fingers crossed everyone here has happy and healthy pregnancies 🤞

@CarlyJane1987 welcome and I’m so sorry for your previous loss! Pregnancy after a loss is so hard, I feel the same, we’re all in this together though and fingers crossed everything goes as well as it possibly can!

Due February 2019...
craftymum01 · 11/06/2018 18:39

@hayleyfx that is such a reassuring tool. I am over 35, overweight and have had a previous miscarriage. But even with all that info the stats are quite reassuring. Thanks for sharing that.

byanyothernamerose · 11/06/2018 18:43

Such bad cramps today...is it possible to have these and not stress that it is a bad sign..? Anxious!!

clairehr · 11/06/2018 18:44

@Wordie I certainly hope we regret wanting more symptoms! I did another test today because I'd as paranoid something wasn't right, but the still there and just as strong for now so all going well. Do you have your first doctors appointment booked in at all?

@hayleyfx I love that website, has certainly made me feel better! Thought I had a much higher chance of miscarriage than its given me, so fingers crossed all continues as it should! Thanks for sharing!

KimRobs87 · 11/06/2018 18:45

Didn't know that existed but very interesting x

hayleyfx · 11/06/2018 18:52

@craftymum01 @clairehr no problem! Anything that can help put our minds at ease is totally worth it. We’ve just got to stay positive 😊

Wordie · 11/06/2018 19:32

Thanks @haleyfx

@clairehr GP gave me a number for my midwife and I rang them today. They’ve booked me in for 27th June for booking in appointment. I’ll be 6 + 4. Think we are lucky in my area, we have a midwife led children’s centre and all maternity and baby appointments are through them. Think I’m going to book a early scan for 8 weeks just for reassurance as well x

clairehr · 11/06/2018 19:52

@hayleyfx Totally right, positivity is the way forward!

@Wordie How exciting! I'm getting checked with GP on Monday first due to previous history before getting booking app with midwife, just hope I don't have to wait aaaaages! Whereabouts are you? I'm Cambridgeshire, but only recently moved here so not sure of the system where we are.

Wordie · 11/06/2018 20:11

@clairhr I’m in north Manchester x

jeanzbeanz · 11/06/2018 20:18

@byanyothernamerose i too have 'period' sort of cramps and have been very anxious. However after a bit of research I understand that cramps are not a negative sign. I guess there are so many things changing inside of us that it's quite normal to feel some pain!

jeanzbeanz · 11/06/2018 20:21

After looking into all the odds, I'm now really keen to book an 8 wk ultrasound! If there is a heartbeat at 8 weeks then the chance of MC apparently drops to around 1%.

I am so nervous about my 6 week scan, if there is no heartbeat I'll be heartbroken, even though there's a good chance it's just because I'm too early.

Fredthespider · 11/06/2018 20:40

I had some cramps earlier that made me nervous, but I think it’s because I’m a bit bunged up. I suffered before I was pregnant but it’s just worse now 😩

My husband was really sweet yesterday and suggested that we take belly pics through the pregnancy. I’ve been trying to work out how to keep him involved as much as possible so it was nice that he came out with it. Suggested what I could wear and poses. I’ve got him a book for Father’s Day even though he hates reading 😂

KimRobs87 · 11/06/2018 20:41

That's cute @Fredthespider! X

craftymum01 · 11/06/2018 23:03

@clairhr I am Cambridgeshire too and with my previous pregnancies I met with the GP first and they referred me to the midwife who sent an appointment through the post. I haven't contacted my GP yet, we are away next week so will arrange something when I get back I think.

clairehr · 12/06/2018 06:20

@Fredthespider That's so cute! You'll have to keep us updated with your growing bump 😊

@craftymum01 Ah thanks for this! I have booked in with GP for Monday so hopefully get to see midwife after that then. Want to try and push to see them earlier with my history, but we'll see. Do you get to have a look around the hospitals still? I know nothing about them round here yet!

Fae1989 · 12/06/2018 06:29

Morning ladies!

Congrats on your BFPs! Mind if I join?

EDD is just before my 30th birthday (21/02/18)! This will be our first and for some bizarre reason we got lucky on our first cycle!

:)

clairehr · 12/06/2018 07:27

@Fae1989 Yay! Happy to see you popping over from the June bus too!! Huge congrats! How are you feeling?

Fae1989 · 12/06/2018 07:29

@clairehr morning and thank
You lovely! I’m knackered haha! And my legs are aching, dunno if that’s anything to do with it though. How are you feeling? X

Bluelagoon25 · 12/06/2018 07:53

I got my first midwife appointment letter through yesterday, got to wait until 7th July...
I am due Valentine's Day next year 😊 first time pregnant so just hoping everything goes well x

craftymum01 · 12/06/2018 08:06

@clairhr yes we were certainly offered a tour. I can’t remembee if it was the midwife who gave us the details or if they told us at our 20 week scan though

seafoodeatit · 12/06/2018 08:10

Welcome to the newcomers :)

We were offered a hospital tour too, most if not all hospitals offer them still, I remember it's done right towards the end as we were all pretty heavily pregnant.

I smashed a bottle of one of my body sprays today and the smell is making me feel very ill.

LouiseD2018 · 12/06/2018 09:18

I started to spot a deep red, followed by very sudden labour type cramps. I headed for A&E, to be told my beautiful little baby beating heart and all was stuck in my right fallopian tube. I didn't get much time to fully digest it within minutes I was prepped for theatre.
Operation went well, I lost the right tube. Still in after having quite a reaction to the anesthesia, I spent most of the night vomitting, so I've been on multiple drips.
I've picked up since the anti sickness fluid so hopefully I'll be home tonight with my family

Fredthespider · 12/06/2018 09:21

Oh gosh @LouiseD2018 that sounds terrible. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Get well soon xx
