Stleger that was nice, thank you!

Chooster ? DH is coming straight from the airport to the dinner, imagine the state of him! I?ve got 2 ½ weeks of work until my holiday ? another reason for being de-mob happy!

Hi Honeyapple your day sounded exhausting but fun that?s lovely about the kick ? how many weeks are you now? My DH can?t wait to feel the baby My scan is next Tues. Based on dates I?ll be 8 weeks but 7+3 based on last scan. Really hope I see a HB and a much bigger beanie

Bodkin ? thanks felt even worse this morning but it was probably more to do with the presentation I had to give to 20 judgmental lawyers instead of the beanie! Hope appointment goes well tomorrow.

Hey Greedy that is exciting about the baby clothes!!

Thanks Firsty ? there wouldn?t be so much external pressure if I got on with my work instead of posting on here pc classes? Why do you need antibiotics in labour? I have so much to learn!

How come you dont get the extra class Firsty? I'll also be having anti-biotics so you wont be alone

I'm still deciding on whether to go to the parentcraft lessons. They start next week for me - it just may help remind me of a few things about the birth and various options. I mentioned this to DH and he just laughed and said "Why are you going to more classes, you've already one baby. It'll still come out the same hole" ... Dont think I'll involve him again in the parent craft discussion

hellllooooo everyone!!

we had a very wet weekend in derbyshire camping infact it was a total nightmare! we pitched our tent on a hill so on the first night i fell out of bed 3 times!! 2nd night it chucked down with rain and basically didnt stop until we came hope. i had several dissagreements with dp sister mainly over baby names - she seems to think she has the right to choose my babys name - and i am not kidding!! i told her the two names we have chosen and she came up with a zillion "much better ones"

on a happier note i was soooo pleased to get home. we had a call from the estate agents to view a house last night at 7pm. as soon as i walked in the door i just knew it was the one. i didnt say anything to dp but by the time we got to the last bedroom upstairs he just turned round and said what do you think and i burst out "i love it" he said to the owner he felt the same and said he would pay full asking prices its perfect for us! driveway, garage, utility room, manageable garden, 3 reception rooms, kitchen diner, and 3 bedrooms im so happy - can you tell?!

anyway enough of mememe.....how are you guys?
i have had a read through but there was so much to catch up on i cant remember all the responses i wanted to put so excuse me if i miss anyone out.

mrsmc - sorry to hear you have been having a tough time with family issues and shame on dh for going away on your frst anniversary!! i hope he makes it up to you!! atleast you have a lovely holiday to look forward to in a couple of weeks. we are off to dublin 2 weeks today - i cannot wait! bit nervous of flying whilst pg though but nothing can be done now we are going!

firststar - your spd sounds soo painful (hope it is firststar that posted this?) is there anything that can be done for it? or do you just have to put up with it? i am getting quite bad back ache at this early stage but im putting that down to work

honeyapple - thats fantastic dp felt baby move!! it must be such an incredible feeling and also for you too when you felt baby move for the first time...im longing for that sensation it just seems a million miles away at the moment.

hello to greedy, bodkin, chooster, babymad, fettle, seaside and anyone else i have missed

where is seaside? havnt seen a post from her? hope she is ok?

i had my first doctors appointment yesterday she was lovely and had a massive grin on her face as soon as i walked in the room - it was like she knew what i had come to tell her. so just waiting for midwife to contact me now. the doctor put my edd as 30th january but i made it the 27th as i have a shorter cycle but we will see in time.

5+3 today need to get past the 6 week mark which is where all my problems started last time.

mrsmc - i have a lot of questions for you but its to do with what you posted on pregnancy after mc thread a while ago. i need to catch up with that thread and temp buddy thread too just been so busy!!

il go now as ive rambled a LOT!! xx

Bodkin · 30/05/2007 16:11

Iwillbepg - I was thinking of you on Saturday night as the rain was lashing down! Really sorry that you had such bad weather for your camping trip. We are going in 2 weeks time - hope we fare a bit better Great news on finding a house you like! Let's hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Chooster - pmsl at your DHs comment! It hadn't even occurred to me to go to any, but maybe I should - if only to meet some other mums due around the same time as me.

Just found out that my friend who lost a baby at 20 weeks is pg again. Have been sworn to secrecy, but think I can tell you lot. I am soooooooooooo thrilled for her.

Greedy, you must have already nipped off when I posted last night. I was waiting for my kiln to get up to temp and was mooching around on MN to kill time.

How cute is this.... my DD has currently got hiccups - and, so has the bump! DD was just giggling so much as she was feeling the baby hiccupping, then hiccupping herself. Awwww, they're bonding already.....

MrsMcJnr · 30/05/2007 16:39

Thanks Firsty ? I will enjoy the hols, we have a couple coming with us for 5 days who are great friends and like to do the lazy things we do so we?ll all be happy with a big beach, lots of sun and a bar (virgin cocktails for me! ) Thanks for explaining for me. DH leaves me tomorrow for 3 nights ? off to Poland on a stag

Chooster ? where the hell is the summer, its freezing isn?t it? Re our hospital chat last week, my friend (one with baby 7 weeks early) had to go to ERI instead of St John?s because the latter didn?t have a full obst team at the weekend ? must remember to have my baby mid week! My due date is a Tuesday I see! (Tuesday?s child ? full of grace! ) Most of my friends on baby no 2 went to the classes again ? I would too! My DH can?t wait (he?s sweet like that!)

Hello Iwillbe that camping trip sounds like my idea of hell! As does the SIL! How exciting about the house when are you going to get things moving? I wish people like you could come and see our house I just don?t get it, it?s a lovely house but we still don?t have a buyer. They all say they love it and then we hear no more I?ve been family free all week ? bliss! Don?t worry about flying, I?ve read loads about it and the risks are slim and not proven anyway. My Consultant wouldn?t have agreed to let me go if there was a risk so try not to worry and enjoy the trip. I like Dublin! So glad the Dr was happy for you, they can be so matter of fact. Don?t be upset if the MW takes a while to contact you, seems to be the way it goes. CAT me if I can help you will clear 6 weeks hon

Bodkin ? wow, you are going camping too! Much braver than me! Lovely about your friend how sweet are your DC!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 30/05/2007 18:21

so bodders - you are going camping? when we were in wales at the weekend my kids saw a tent exhibition at the back of a camping shop and they are suddenly obssessed with tents and camping. you will have to let me know what its like going when you are heavily pg! i quite fancy it in the summer....the only thing that puts me off is going for a wee in the night, esp if its every hour!

so where are you going on your hols then mrs? i cant believe your scan is next week already! wow!

iwillbe - i saw that seaside was on another thread....hut graduates.....or something similar.......but i hpoe she hasn't left us for good1

honeyapple · 30/05/2007 19:16

HIya-

Greedy- i am going camping end of august.. will be 7mth PG by then... I plan to have a bucket in the tent for night peeing!
I love camping! Am a bit of a seasoned pro... however not too sure about airbed and big bump...

Mrsmc and Iwill- I am 19 wks PG... have been feeling definite LO movements since 16 wks... and possible LO movements since 12 wks. But now, you can actually see my tummy move when baby kicks .

Cooking supper... back later xx

PS anyone watching BB?

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 30/05/2007 19:25

il pop over to the other threads and see if i can find her soon greedy, thanks! i love camping but defiantely not when its raining!

just had some bad news the house we were buying should have been taken off of themarket first thing but the idiot estate agents being the slimey slippery snakes they are called the 2nd lowest offer and asked them to better it (even after we shook on the deal with the vendors) and they have put in a higher offer and had the cheek to ask us to go higher. dp is fuming and said no out of spite which is totally fair enough. but im very sad i am dreading bringing up our baby in a pokey 2 bed flat

seaside72 · 30/05/2007 19:43

HI girls - I'm here don't worry! Have been lurking but nothing much to say and have had guests staying so no time for mega-posts!

You are right greedy (aka super sleuth!!) I have been on a new thread for hut graduates - I am afraid I have a tendency to be a glass half empty gal sometimes when feeling low and the Hut always gave me a spiritual home for those feelings - so seeing as 3 of us have graduated in a month ( and )we thought it only right to start a graduates thread! There is still a part of me that keeps thinking I will get to 12 week scan and they will say there is no baby mad I know (must stop reading too many other threads - slapped wrist!)

Will try and catch up with everyone tonight (although am settling for a 4 hour channel4 marathon - property ladder, big brother (keep thinking by the time it ends will be well into 2nd trimester!!) and desperate housewives (with preggers Bree!)

Well so much for my "no symptoms" boasting - could not really class it as morning sickness - more 24 hour nausea!! - yuk - tried to get some sea sickness bands today but all sold out the thought of food and the smell of it makes me feel bleurghh 90% of the time and the other 10% of the time feeling ravenous!

Iwill- sorry about camping washout what a mare!

Back later x

fettleandminifettle · 30/05/2007 20:31

Hi all

Hope you are well! - sorry not to catch up properly - absolutely shattered tonight and feeling a bit low, for no reason other than hormones!! I'm supposed to get some work done this evening, as there is so much to do at the moment. But I can't face it, so I'm off to get some ice-cream! DH is out working tonight and won't be home til later - poor DD can't get to sleep either, as she's missing him too! We're going to be a bundle of laughs when he's away for 3 weeks in the middle of June!! At least mum is coming down to help out then though.

BTW, camping is the last thing in the world I feel like doing at the moment - even with my in-built little radiator, I'm so cold!!! Give me 5* luxury any time!! DH told me over the weekend that he plans to take me away for our wedding anniversary in August without DD - will be bliss, but I'll be 36 weeks pg, so not up to much!! But it will be relaxing! I just hope it's not camping - but with his line of work, camping is work (without the tents!!), so he doesn't really do camping! Although DD would love it, so maybe next summer we'll do it!!

Anyway, take care all
xxx

Chooster · 30/05/2007 20:57

Hey all - Mmm, am not really a camping gal either - which makes me sound like a girlie girl, but am not that either! I just hate sleeping outdoors - even if there is a bit of tent between me and the open air. I was doing some hill walking / climbing around mont blanc a couple of years ago and despite all the aches and pains the worst part for me was sleeping in a tent But hats off to you who love it!!! Its just not my thing... I'll opt for the 5* luxury hotel with you fettle - By the way Fettle that trip with your DH sounds fantastic! Am very

Iwillbe - I can't believe that about the house!!!! Aaaargggghhhh.... I was really pleased for you when I saw your first post then really when I saw your second. Its awful when estate agents go behind people's backs just for a few extra pounds. I know they have to look after their clients interest but still, these other people could back out whereas it sounds like you guys were totally sold on it. I hope there are other houses out there for you!!.

Hi seaside - glad you are still around on our thread - sorry you are feeling rubbish though... It will pass but I know thats a small consolation right now.

MrsMc - Enjoy the last night of DH being at home! At least you've got something good to keep you busy this weekend . Wow, I didn't realise that St Johns was not quite so prepared if it was a weekend... That kind of backs up what I'd been told about St Johns. Definately ERI for me

All is well here ladies but LO has been causing me stomach muscle problems - I'm not sure if I've pulled a muscle or if LO has just been kicking away at whats left of a stomach muscle - very achy though! Anyway, got 32 wk check tomorrow with male GP - hope he knows what he's talking about .

I'm definately having an emotional pregnant lady moment today - DS has a little pal from nursery round to play on sunday morning but another child in nursery has just had their party moved to sunday morning. DS doesn't really know this other boy at all really (he wasn't sure which one he was ) but I feel so bad if DS doesn't go to his party. I started getting really emotional asking DH if I should cancel DS's playdate in case hardly anyone else goes to this boys party He just told me to get a grip and that there would be loads of kids there... It still upsets me to think about it

morning all!

who told me bree was preggers?! AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! i am going to watch it tonight! was it you seaside???? was it? was it? if you are going to say things like that on here then you can stick to your 'hut thread thank you very much!!!'

and whats this about bb? i thought it didnt start till friday? i have missed out!

visited my friend yesterday who has a 3.10 year old a 20month old and a 7month old. she is coping so amazingly well. made it look like a piece of piss having 3! mind you i think she was born to breed, so shes a bit of a natural! she did say she didn't have an evening meal for the first 4 months after her last one was born though! just toast! didn't like the sound of hat much!

well..........our builders atrated on tue and so far they have found problem after problem! they turned up about 10 mins ago to tell me that there is another problem and they cant do anything today either so they are going home! GREAT! at this rate our extension wont be finished till xmas!

chooster - how sweet, you getting all concerned about that party! i am getting stressed already about my ds's party in the summer, who to invite, where to have it etc..........i hate doing kids partys.....too stressful!

fettle and firsty - hope you are both feeling happier now.

my first patient at work later is a 7 week old baby and i am very excited! might not give it back!

Chooster · 31/05/2007 11:18

Grrrrr at the builders Greedy!!! Hope they get going soon. Aaah, a 7 week old baby, very cute - do you need special training to work on babies or is all kind of the same as adults just much smaller packaging? I've heard it recommended for babies who are struggling sleeping / settling etc? Is that right?

Sorry Bodkin - Meant to say yesterday that I'm really pleased for your friend - fingers crossed that this is a nice smooth pregnancy for her with no worries. If you dont mind me asking what happened to her last baby? Also, let us know how your antenatal appt went - did you get any answers about your contraction-like pains?

Greedy - I missed BB as well - Some series I like and others I just can't get into. I'll try and give this one a go because it'll still be going when LO is here so may help with sleepless nights

I know what you mean about arranging kids parties and I've only done 2!!!!

Hope you are feeling better Firsty??? Pains gone?

My visit to the GP today for 32 weeks check went OK - blood pressure good, baby heartbeat good, his head is down but he's a bit diagnol - hopefully he's straighten up. The only problem was there is protein in my urine so either I've got a urine infection or early stages of pre-eclampsia. But my blood pressure is good, so I guess it must be a urine infection - But then I have no urine infection symptoms - it doesn't hurt when I go to the loo.... Mmmm, anyway my wee has gone off for further analysis so I guess I'll find out early next week.

Hope everyone is doing well today!!! Nice and warm up here, bit cloudy though... Aaarrrrrghhh, must go and do some work.

you two have just reminded me to make my next antenatal appt! thanks!
sorry about your wee worries! i am expecting lots of problems later on in my pg cos i feel like i have always got off relatively easily in the past and i must be overdue for some severe aches and pains and problems!

afternoon all!!

chooster - great news on 32week check! except for the water infection lets hope it clears up soon if it is that. i have heard of pre-eclampsia before but not totally sure what it is..

firstar sorry you are still feeling uncomfortable, try and take it easy and let dh run around after you for a while - you and bubs are most important!!!

seaside! wheres this hut thread? i couldnt find it! sorry you are feeling sick i think mine is starting to kick in now as i heave for about 10 mins whilst cleaning my teeth (i never do that) and then in the afternoons i keep going a bit light headed and feel very sick and 24 hours a day totally shattered.

thankyou everyone for your sympathies over the estate agents, we spoke to the owners last night and he was nothing but an a*hole! he shook hands with my dp and boasted for about 10 mins how he was a man of his word etc etc the night we viewed it then last night he denyed doing it. anyway we spoke to our estate agent friend who is sorting out the deal on the house they are buying and she has also said they are a pain in the arse and we are better off rid because apparently they put there houseon the market last year and pulled out of the deal last minute - so im putting our dealings down to a lucky escape so on with the house hunting i go....although dp now wants to wait a few months to get some money in

on another note i had a suprise phone call from the midwife today she is coming round at 3:45 to do my booking in appointment i cant believe how quick she called last time they took 2 weeks... mayb its because of my mc history?

anyway hope everyone is well still raining here byeee
