Hiya!

Goodness, there's been a bit to catch up on .

Greedy! Ha! We knew it was a GIRL!! . Don't feel bad about your natural reactions... I agree with all what the wise women on this thread have already said. I feel completley the same about finding out the sex. I think though whatever your children are like, they will always be compared by some people. A teacher at my school always used to compare me to my sisters... she once said "Why arent you like your sisters? They are so nice!" Charming!
But to you, they will ALL be gorgeous and special in their own ways.

Sorry- got to dash, just wanted to check all ok with Greedy. Catch up later. xx

MrsMcJnr · 24/05/2007 09:36

So we have:

Blue
Fettle
Chooster
KitKat

Pink
PinkButterfly
Greedy

Anymore? Sorry if I have left any out.

Shall we have a predictions chart for those we don?t know?

honeyapple · 24/05/2007 09:41

I havent got a clue what colour I am having... where's that Chinese nonsense thingy?

Just heard a mum at playgroup had a little boy... she has 2 girls already... labour only 2 hours! Here's hoping!

KitKat30 · 24/05/2007 10:21

Ahhh Greedy a girl! How lovely!!

Morning everyone!

OP posts:
greedygreedyguzzler · 24/05/2007 10:44

thanks all! you are great!
i think i would have come on here saying similar stuff if we had found out we were having a boy to be honest.
it's just a bit odd cos first time i REALLY didn't mind what we had, and then after having one boy thought it would be nice to have a girl and we did so that was perfect..............i guess this time i was really hoping for a puppy!

just feels odd having a girl that is NOT my dd1 (ccant get used to typing 'dd1'!!!) cant imagine a girl that ISN'T her IYKWIM! wonder if you feel similar chooster seeing as you are having a boy who ISN'T ds1?!!

apprentice was good wasn't it? glad old jadine has gone! didn't think trey was too bad last night for a change! i thought sir alan was a bit tough on him! anyone been watching 'what about brian?'.............i think he is lovely! i am waiting for my filthy dreams to start including him now!!!!

our extension is starting next tue..............AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! the builder came round yesterday and asked me if i was prepared for all the mess and swearing!.....help!!

seaside72 · 24/05/2007 12:04

greedy - fab news about scan and another pink one on the way - I have no experience to offer but would think it will be wonderful - DS will always be big brother - with mates DD's will fancy and a car to drive them around in when he is 17 (the main reason for having a big brother I always thought?) and DD1 & 2 will alternate between fighting like cat and dog and being best of friends and borrowing each others clothes!! (yes I know I speak as a naive only child !)

honeyapple - hers is the chinese calendar

Hope everyone is doing OK. Gorgeous and sunny here now the sea mist has lifted! Called the midwife team today - feel like such a clueless spanner!! Anyway she was very sweet and said they will do a booking in apointment around week 8 which is good. She said there is a boom on at the moment!! - I almost said I know and that she should see our MN thread - nothing for a few months and then 4 come along at once!!

Chooster · 24/05/2007 12:14

Ahhh, I keep meaning to watch the apprentice but just always forget - I've seen one which I really enjoyed though. Right, next week!!!! You'll have to remind me!

I know EXACTLY what you mean Greedy. I really can't even imagine what another DS would look like. I keep thinking he couldn't be as cute or handsome as DS1 and what if I secretly think DS2 is actually a wee bit ugly by comparison? I also worry if he is better at things than DS1, like he may be far better at football than DS1 so will that put DS1's nose out of joint. I know its all silly because as soon as he is here I'll feel just as much love for DS2 as I do DS1 - its just difficult to imagine it now...

Chooster · 24/05/2007 12:18

Hi seaside - I'm another only child with pretty naive views about what its like to have a brother / sister!

Glad te sea mist has shifted for you today - where are you?

Hi Chooster - I'm in Cornwall - right near the end close to St. Ives) - it's wonderful (was in London until 2005)

BTW - I don't do the Apprentice (clashes with Grand Designs think?) but I think it is repeated on Tuesday nights on BBC2 also?

greedygreedyguzzler · 24/05/2007 12:56

chooster - i share lots of your worries! what if dd1 is prettier than dd2 or vice versa, or cleverer or more popular..........not quite the same with one of each cos they aren't as comparable are they. i am just being silly i know, cos i always knew having 3 that we would end up with either 2 boys or 2 girls! just still have these silly worries! mind you, i tend to worry about everything and if i didn't have anything to worry about then i would worry about that!! if these are my biggest worries in life then i am a very lucky person!!!

i started working on dd and ds this morning convincing them that a sister is what they want! they have no preference at the moment but i thought if i could sway them to both thinking they want a sister thn they will be extra chuffed when she arrives!

ds thought it was hilarious that they baby will be facing backwards in the car and be sitting inbetween them!(not sure why really!) he got SO excited bless him! he said " if this baby is like me and is sick all the time then i will be able to clean it up for you if its sick in the car!" and " we can tickle it or sing to it if it cries to make it happy again!".................................see fettle ...................boys can be very sweet too!

BabyMadwithBump · 24/05/2007 12:58

Hi ladies how is everyone?
Been having lots of nightmares and cramps so not been getting much sleep. DC are getting feed up with waiting for LO, DS#2 as telling me all the things he wants to do with baby, bless!

Chinese charts! if you look hard enough on the web you will find 3 different one's like I did wonder why there are 3 different ones?, I'm one of ten and it only got 5 right, and people I know haven't had much luck with them/it either, just a bit of fun!

Love those pics Babymad

BabyMadwithBump · 24/05/2007 14:19

Thanks

Bodkin · 24/05/2007 14:48

Like your idea of having some predictions going, MrsMc. I'll start... (copy and paste)

TTC GRADS BABY PREDICTOR

Bodkin - Hmmm, I'll go for...
BOY / 17th JULY/ 7lbs 2oz

Those who know the sex can still guess the other bits... Pink B, you can still guess the weight!

Seaside, you're even further West than me! I don't feel quite so lonely now, stuck out here (enjoying the great weather, beaches, countryside....)

Thank gawd Jadine has gone. I think she is the last of the people who basically aren't very good... the remaining 6 or 7 all stand a fighting chance I reckon, but I still think Christina has got the edge (and she's not a posho - don't think Sir Alan would go for a plum somehow)

BabyMadwithBump · 24/05/2007 14:57

I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!

Chooster · 24/05/2007 15:05

Hey all - thats my problem seaside - I'm always watching grand designs so miss the apprentice. I recording last nights GD as the footie was on so looking forward to catching up with that tonight.

I think our worries are perfectly normal Greedy. I guess you just love your LO's so much that the idea of a new person coming along and upsetting them in any way is pretty worrying! But like you say, if thats the biggest worry then life is good!!!

Am very very excited today as my cousin had a little boy about an hour ago . She had started contractions yesterday morning so we knew it was imminent. Very pleased for her - Hooray!! After 3 years of trying and one IVF round, they've got what they've been hoping for - a lovely new little person.

Oh and I got out my tape measure - 40"

Chooster · 24/05/2007 15:08

Oh, predictions!!!!

For me, I reckon boy (guess that's in the bag), 23rd July, 8lbs 2oz

MrsMcJnr · 24/05/2007 15:22

That's lovely Chooster I remember when she first got her BFP!!What do you predict for me Chooster?

I'll be brave and have faith and predict for me:

Boy, 6lbs 10oz, 13/1
