Afternoon all lovely ladies.

Well Shrek 3 was enjoyable (perhaps not as good as previous ones...). DD drove me mad fidgeting all the way through it though. She was very excited to go and see Shrek, but as usual she wasnt very good at sitting still.

I had a meltdown in the evening , with DC driving me mad, bickering and fighting. I ended up shutting myself in my room and crying! So this morning I have drawn up 2 smiley/cross face charts which are now stuck on the fridge. DD has already drawn a lovely smiley face on hers for being very helpful in the supermarket... lets see how long it lasts! DS is off school as he said his tummy felt funny this morning, so they are both currently looking through Argos catalogue for their rewards when they have done 2 weeks of more smiley faces than cross ones.

DS certainly doesnt seem ill anymore. It's really hard to know what to do, I wouldnt want to send him to school and then have to collect him cos he was sick everywhere...

DP is still argueing with his mum about his name choice. Really annoying me. What does it matter what WE choose to call OUR baby???GRRRR!!!!

its very quiet on here today!
just tried to catch up with the due in oct thread and gave up .......and then this one took 2 secs to catch up with!

honeyapple - are you feeling a bit happier now stroppy pants? you seemed a bit pissed off in your last post!!

mind you, i cant really talk cos i have been a really stroppy cow today! fed up with work. just want to give up and never go back and have any of the stress of it, but paying for our extension means that is NOT an option! still haven't got anyone to cover my maternity leave, which just stresses me out everytime i think of it.

well....................the comments have started...............i have had 2 people say to me today " OOOOOOooooooooooooo you can't have long left!" ................. well, YES actually, i CAN and i HAVE!!!!! another flipping 14 weeks so SOD OFF!!!!

i am DREADING getting into a swimming cossie next week at center parcs! i am so lardy its really getting to me! mind you i have eaten like a complete pig today so what can i expect?!

greedygreedyguzzler · 25/06/2007 17:37

OMG! i nearly forgot to say a massive congrats to pinkb!!!! i am so pleased for you! and jealous!!!
so what do you make of having a little pink one then?

honeyapple · 25/06/2007 18:43

Hi Greedy!
No not stroppy anymore .

I too had a look at the october thread and gave up...Have you seen the thread started by Manitz, about heart anomoly at 20 wk scan? She was originally on our october thread. Pretty awful stuff, but she sounds like she is keeping it together.

Oh I cant believe people saying that to you either Greedy- about not having long to go... bonkers. Put your cossie on and be proud. Which centerparcs are you going to? I hope it stops peeing it down.

fettleandminifettle · 25/06/2007 20:07

Hi Girls

Greedy - I would say that you must be very slender normally, so that your bump is showing more and hence you look bigger than you are! I'm such a lardy arse, that my bump barely shows in comparison to the bottom and hips, but that could also be the difference between girls and boys (I was much bigger with DD than I am now!). I bet your bump looks lovely! As Honey says put on your custume with pride next week, I'd love to have a pert bump in my costume, I think I just look fat still in my costume yesterday!

I think I'm missing DH a bit too much at the mo in a Greedy-type way, IYKWIM!!. Still interviewing and interviewed a very lovely South African today and it was all I could do to control my raging hormones!!! He was gorgeous - I don't remember thinking that when he came for his first interview = do you think there is an equivalent of pg-frisky beer-goggles!!! Have managed not to let it cloud my judgement though, but every man at work has seemed irresistable today!! DH isn't back until Sunday, not sure I'll cope OR knowing his luck, I'll be completely unfrisky again by then!!

Glad you are feeling better today Honey!

I am sorry that you're feeling stressed too Greedy. DD woke me up last night about 3 and although wasn't awake for long, I couldn't get back to sleep for 2 hours, as I worried about everything I need to get done this week at work - once I've got through this week, things should start getting easier. 3 of our new starters start next week and then a further 2 the following week, so I'll be busy training them, but it's the preparation and waiting for the on-slaught that I find so exhausting!

We should all be concentrating on our little bumps, not work, but it is hard, when you need the money. We went down to our new house over the weekend to show dad as he's not seen it yet and I've decided to knock through the kitchen and dining-room to make a big kitchen-diner. What are all your thoughts on this? Small kitchen (with room for small table) and separate small dining-room, or a bigger kitchen-diner? I'll take a poll majority decision and then make my own mind up!!!

Got to go - waffling too much now!

take care all

Rainbowdays · 25/06/2007 20:34

Hi all, I am jealous of you all being at bump stages believe it or not!!! I never liked these first few weeks with my last two pg's and I am already feeling just horribly fat now. The ms and tiredness has already started and I am only 4 weeks - that is madness.... oh well only another 36 or so to go!!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 25/06/2007 22:47

fettle - we are having a wall knocked down as one of the MILLIONS of bits of work being done during our extension and that is to make a big kitchen diner. i think they are great! very trendy at the mo too, and very sociable for dinner parties! ...........that is my main reason for liking them i think! dinner parties are the way forward when you have kids! much easier than getting babysitters!

oh and glad to hear you are feeling horny fettle! your dh is in for a treat when he gets back, unless one of your men at work gets it first! i have to admit i was tempted by rob covered in gravy on eastenders the other night!!!!!!

honeyapple - glad you are back to your normal happy self!

mum03 (cant get used to rainbow days!) - 36 wks to go! what is your due date then? have you got your head round becoming a mum of 3 yet?

KitKat30 · 26/06/2007 08:52

Just a quickie post to say HUGE congrats PinkB!!!! Your LO sounds absolutely lovely - hope you start to feel better soon honey. xxx

Hello girls - hope everyone is OK???

OP posts:
Rainbowdays · 26/06/2007 09:36

Greedy - my edd is 3rd March, but think it will be a february baby as the others came early. I have not really got my head around being a mum-0f-3 yet, I think that is why I changed my name, subconsciously going "what have I done"!!!! But loving the thought at the same time. Now got to start thinking about how we get 3 carseats in the car etc...!

greedygreedyguzzler · 26/06/2007 11:07

rainbowdays - we bought a new car, a santa fe, just so we could fit 3 carseats across the back, and when we went to mothercare and tried they didnt fit!!!! whoops! we just assumed cos it is such a big car that they would fit no probs, but apparently not!
guess we will have to rethink that one!

still really depressed today and all because of work. nothing new hey! hope everyone else is happier than me!..........i keep bursting into tears every 2 minutes!

Rainbowdays · 26/06/2007 12:50

Greedy - {{{{{hugs}}}}, I hope that work settles soon,

greedygreedyguzzler · 26/06/2007 13:05

just thought i should let all you july ladies know that one of my friends wives who was due mid july had her baby last saturday 5 weeks early! ..............is that where everybody is today?............off having babies?

Rainbowdays · 26/06/2007 13:26

Greedy - well I can assure you that I am certainly not off having a baby, but the rest of them do seem a bit quiet don't they!!!

fettleandminifettle · 26/06/2007 14:22

I'm here, but really busy at work!!

Out tonight an a parent induction evening for DD's new school she starts in september. That's 2 weeks after we move house and 3 weeks before her little brother is due. Reassure me again, she'll cope with all this change at once!!!

Try and pop on when I get home, but might be too shattered!

Big hugs Greeds - don't like to see you upset!{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}

take care all

honeyapple · 26/06/2007 14:32

Hiya- just a quickie at the moment...

Fettle- defo go with the kitchen/diner idea. The one main reason we bought our current house was because the kitchen is massive (compared to the poky ones we looked at) and has a large dining area in it. I love it being the hub of the home. I can cook, DS can do homework etc... In fact we decided that we would rather have just 2 bedrooms, than a small kitchen! (Subsequently realising that 2 bedrooms is a little bit small for a GROWING family!!) Will have to move next year.

Anyway, this was supposed to be a quickie!

Hi to Mum03/rainbowdays . Glad to hear you are suffering with MS already! In the nicest possible way!

Greedy- chin up petal.

greedygreedyguzzler · 26/06/2007 14:50

i love my mum! she is FAB! she is here doing everything for me today whilst i mope around feeling sorry for myself and she is so sympathetic at the moment too (not like her at all).....she is saying all the right things and giving me big hugs when i need them...............i hope my kids love me as much as i love her......................OMG! set myself off crying again!!

going to read some depressing threads now to put everything into perspective and to stop me from feeling sorry for myself.

Bodkin · 26/06/2007 17:48

Awww, Greedy - don't like to see you like this! Am glad your mum is there and giving you the support. Have a good cry and let it all out Which Centerparcs are you going to? I bet you have a brilliant time. I was about 13 weeks when I went, and there was no discernible bump whatsoever, just a very wobbly bum and thigh combo - mmmm, attractive

Another vote for kitchen/diner here Fettle! Agree with what Honeyapple says about it being the hub of the house and the kids able to do stuff while you can get on and cook etc. Am looking for a decent table myself to put in the kitchen when it is finished for just that reason.
I'm sure your DD will cope with all the changes just fine - she sounds like such a sensible girl from what you have said in the past, and at this age, IME, they do adapt very quickly to new circumstances.

Hi Rainbowdays - sorry to hear you are feeling so rough, so early on! Rest up (as much as you can with 2 children already) and eat whatever your body craves (even if it is Pot Noodles and Big Macs - thats what I craved in the early days!)

Honeyapple - hope your DCs are giving you a bit more peace now you have introduced the chart! My DD is being a bit of a stroppy madam at the mo - I am hoping it is because she has a horrid cold and not the shape of things to come!

Sorry i've not been on much - but the problem is DD! It is so hard getting a turn these days - if I'm on the 'pooter, she wants to be on it! The latest thing we have been doing is making "weemees" (little computer people) of her and other members of the family! I have to admit that even I quite enjoy it - we managed to kill 2 hours of a wet Monday afternoon very successfully yesterday!

Kitchen coming on a treat - plumber has finished now, and decorator in tomorrow, so all going to plan again.

honeyapple · 26/06/2007 17:49

Just been a bit bored and having a scout around the boards... and there are a series of hoax posters about... very strange, I mean I was bored... but not THAT bored. I had no idea there was such things going on! I wonder whether the big cheeses at MN know about it...there is some pretty offensive language on some of the posts. Not that I am easily offended!

Bodkin · 26/06/2007 17:54

Sorry, - doorbell rang in the middle of that, and didn't want to risk losing an epic post!

Where's Firsty and Chooster? Not like them to be so quiet?

Am having a last minute panic about having a homebirth. I saw another mum from DDs playgroup yesterday, who gave birth last week, and she had a hospital birth, which she said was a good job, as there were complications after the birth and she didn't know if her son would have made it had it been at home. So now I am all of a tizz and worrying if it is a good idea. We are about 20 minutes (in an ambulance) from the hospital, which is quite a long time really isn't it? But then again, DD's birth was so straightforward with no probs at all. Hmmm, any thoughts, ladies?

Bodkin · 26/06/2007 17:55

Xposts Honey - where have you seen those then? Do you mean the thread in Pregnancy by someone with a large amount of v's in their name?

honeyapple · 26/06/2007 18:02

Hi Bodders!

DC are being freakily good and helpful since introduction of the chart! They like drawing their own smiley faces on it too. And the threat of a grumpy face on the chart is working brilliantly! Fingers crossed the novelty doesnt where off too soon.

honeyapple · 26/06/2007 18:04

We keep crossing posts!

Yes that VVVVV person... has other psudonyms (sp?) too, all with V somewhere... completely bonkers. Def winding up us gullible fluffy PG ladies. She is on other threads in her other name and can suddenly type properly and not sound like a complete dimwit...

honeyapple · 26/06/2007 18:06

There is one in the FOR SALE section started by a cronie of hers... and then one in Arts and Crafts!

Bodkin · 26/06/2007 18:08

Oooh, i like a good mystery. I'll have a nose around later....

I've seen posts from her before, ages ago, on conception, and thought at the time "troll" - just the name alone gave me suspicions....
