My boys brack up from school for the six weeks hoilday on the 20th and I've always said to DH it'll be in that last week you watch, so 18th for me very very possable and I will be 37+5 on the 18th too, so you never know! Would be funny us all texting each other saying "well i'm 5cm what about you" LOL!

I cant wait to be driving but I don't want to start something back up so close to baby coming, sleepless night, driving lessons and tests, I don't think they would mix well. I'm going to wait until babe is 3/4 months first but like I said before the money is there and the determination also I'm on the insurance to learn in the Zafira, when D-FIL is better from his op that is! When we go and collect the car at the weekend I wonder if I could pose on it for some pic's in a bikini to show you my new baby? LOL!

fettleandminifettle · 19/06/2007 16:50

Ok - no Eastenders spoiler from me!!! DH told me anyway, so it might not be true!! Not sure how he knows, reading the Sun, I suppose while at work!!!

Babymad's - how exciting? Although you don't want it this early - hang on another couple of weeks at least!!!

Chooster - hope your DH is ok when he gets/got home - must be pretty horrible for him.

I wish we could taste some of these Bodders flapjacks!! I'm hungry - despite an enormous lunch!

Hello Kitkat - good to hear from you!

Hi Firsty - how were you hands today?!

I have to go and pack - we're driving home tomorrow and back to work on Thursday - not done any of the work, I was suppose to do and I've completely lost all impetus for work - hope it comes back, not due to start mat leave until end August!

take care all

just had an upsetting (might be too strong a word!) conversation with the Dentist where i work.
he said " when were your other two born? at what time of the year?"
i said " mid summer and winter"
he (bastard!) said " at least you haven't called them after the seasons like some people do!"
i said ".............oh!"

i REALLY liked the name autumn but he has put me off now! maybe i will have to run "Kaydie" past dh tonight, see what he thinks of that!

havent heard from my friend who is giving birth yet!!!! guess its a bit soon for news! but i expect a text message AS SOON AS THE PLACENTA IS DELIVERED! or even before! (not that we did when we had ds!!! took us a good few hours!!)

fettle - drive carefully and enjoy those children's songs!!! ( i will be very jealous if you tell me you don't have to listen to 'the wheels on the bus' everytime you go in the car!)

better go, got a patient waiting! have a good evening all!

KitKat30 · 19/06/2007 18:14

Havent gone anywhere never you fear! Even though greedy is mean and is clearly a stalker at heart...

Just bloody work is soooooo busy - I think it's finally dawned on them that i've only got a few weeks left, so they keep piling more and more on me. Feeling v stressed about it all and struggling to cope...think I might have a tantrum soon

Most importantly it's keeping me away from all you lovely ladies!!! I do keep having a quick read but never have time to post or catch up properly. Will deffo make up for it this weekend.

Roll on maternity leave!!

Boo to no EE spoilers...

hiya twix! glad i didn't scare you off with my horrible nasty ways!

how long have you got left at work then? (you prob just put that in your post but i cant rem!) you can chat loads when you are on mat leave! have you got any names for your little blue one?

fettleandminifettle · 19/06/2007 18:48

Maybe greeds would allow a guessing game at the Eastenders storyline?!

Sorry to hear you're so busy at work too Kitty-kat! I hope it all calms down for you soon. Need to keep calm to keep blood pressure down!!

It is horrible though isn't it, work-induced stress? Our director asked my boss last week whether DD was on time last time, to which boss replied that I'd actually been induced 4 weeks early due to a liver complaint - director apparently went white!!. Not my fault they decided to promote me so close to mat leave - I'm working as hard as I can, but it is stressful, as I feel I should be doing more, but I don't want to exhaust myself - hence why I've taken a few days off this week, when I really shouldn't have done!

Greeds - quite lucky in the fact that DD was given lots of CDs at Christmas, so we dont' always have to listen the same one, BUT..... at the moment, it is constant "If I saw an elephant fly", from Dumbo. Noramlly have to listen over and over and over again on our morning and evening 40 min drive from home to nursery/work, so please help me if we have 9 hours of it tomorrow!!! Think my parents will throw it out of the window on the M6!!!

Greeds - why listen to a dentist. You could always call her January, even though she's born in September, that would baffle people!! JJ has a nice ring about it! I knew someone at university call January Mountain! Certainly never would forget her name, but then there's other reasons for that too, that I won't go into now!!

Bodkin · 19/06/2007 19:38

Crikey Fettle - that is a name and a half isn't it!!!! Conjurs up the image of a sort of overweight snow queen from Narnia

We are very lucky in that we have weaned DD off nursery rhymes in the car and onto compilation tapes of music WE like! We just put a couple of songs on it that she has heard before around the house, and after a few listens, she is addicted to it, and won't let us play anything else. Currently, she is getting on down in the car seat to Scissor Sisters, Outkast, Neil Young (she calls it "Oven Man", as opposed to "Southern Man" ), Slade (DP is a big fan) and the Feeling. But I am getting a bit sick of that compilation tape now, so will have to make another soon.

Got a curry and a DVD arriving any minute. Have DP's step-mum and her daughter staying for a couple of days, and they have been helping me clear the kitchen out. Now we are having a girly night in (DP is not due back until about 10pm)

Greedy - ignore the dentist - what does he know, poking around people's dodgy molars all day eh?

Hi Kitkat by the way!

fettleandminifettle · 19/06/2007 20:04

Greeds - you can't use Autumn now, not if Dawn calls her baby Summer, everyone will think you're copying Eastenders!!! [Although my DD is named after a character from a TV show and noone's noticed!!!]

Your evening sounds great Bodkin - very jealous. Although I'm with my parents, I'm feeling really lonely tonight. Mum is exhausted and gone to bed already!

fettleandminifettle · 19/06/2007 20:04

BTW bodders - she was definitely a snow queen by character!!!!

seaside72 · 20/06/2007 09:44

Hi lovely TTC grad girls - sorry have been so crap at posting - have been trying to keep up but then run out of time to post- grrr.

My sympathies are with all you working girls having a hard time and so close to mat leave as well. I know it easy for me to say but take care of yourselves - employers and colleagues expectations are a real pressure - but you and your bumps are the most important things. I know if I had stayed in my last job I would not have had a proper maternity leave in fact the boss used to joke about telling me to remember to pack my laptop and mobile in my hospital bag - Ha Ha - NOT!!

I can't believe so many of you are getting so close - I am off again for work tonight and will be pretty much "offline" until July 10th and by that time some of you will be almost cooked!! I hope Pink is OK and all went well on Monday.

Babymad - well done on the new car (and nursery!) greedy will think I am stalking her after the Cath Kidston wall paper but we also have a Santa Fe!(only a 5 seater though as we have 2 dogs to take up the boot!) In fact we just bought it and picked it up the week before BFP and the first thing DH said was "Hmm - it looks a bit empty without a carseat" Hoepfully we will have one soon

All the name talk is very inspiring - (don't listen to the silly dentist greeds - if you like Autumn you go for it - I like Kaydie too though!) DH came up with a surprisingly good boys name yesterday - I was pleasantly surprised as we usually disagree

Chooster - yippee about last few days of work - hopefully by the time I get back on you will have had a lovely 2 weeks "off" My DH and I are at home all day nearly everyday together and I really like it - we do our own things and then "meet" for lunch in the kitchen ( or for Deal or No Deal !!)

Bodkin- Hope the kitchen work gets done speedily and you are living the domestic goddess fantasy asap

fettle - hope your M6 journey is painfree with no Dumbo overdosing!

firststar - hope you get some relief for your hands hon - sounds really uncomfortable {{hugs}}

honeyapple - Ohh a baby girl dream - are you going to find out (apologies if you already have but I have lost track of everyones dates and scans etc - maybe we should start a separate stats thread?? ) Hope opinionated DD is being more lovely to her Mummy!!

MrsMc - Hope you had a fab holidya if you read this far back!!

Iwillbe - are you away too? Hope all is well hon

I had mw booking in yesterday - she was very nice and answered most of my list of questions She told me to avoid peanuts just cos DH's mum has asthma??? I had just eaten 2 pbandj sandwiches I think I am going to risk it - its not like I eat loads and no one else in our family has any allergies?

Anyway -I am 9+3 today - still scared, still disbelieving and thinking this is too good to be true. No really bad symptoms nausea seems to be much better? glad but worried in equal measure. Oh well think until we get to scan in 3 weeks will not feel any different. Sooo want this to be OK and to allow myself to be excited - fingers crossed.

Right sorry for any mistakes/typos etc - must run - supposed to be out the door in 15 mins - argg.

{{{Big hugs}}} to everyone - will try my best to catch up at some point in the next few weeks - if not see you on July 10th (hopefully with successful scan under my belt).

Sorry to those with a lot of pain and discomfort. I'm not doing too bad, but just struggle to get comfortable anywhere - even the bath. I love the tought of a relaxing bath, but if I lie back I get breathless and if I sit up I get back ache - Booooooo!!!! Looking forward to a nice long soak once LO is here. Also struggling with sleep too - getting hip pain on the side I'm sleeping on.... Bloody hell, what a moaning session that was eh?!?!? I am genuinely doing OK - honest!! .

DH rolled in the house at 3am this morning and promptly starting talking for about half an hour about his night. As it was I was awake anyway so it was nice to chat

Totally agree with the others Greedy - you stick with Autumn if its still your number 1 choice

Fettle - Hope the journey back down has been OK and DD is a good girl. Does she get really restless in the car - we can only do long distances with DS at night.

Hi Seaside and good to hear from you!

Anyway, back to work for me... see ya

BabyMadandBIGbump · 20/06/2007 12:16

So do I, she's missed already LOL, Cant wait to hear what a great time she had/having!

honeyapple · 20/06/2007 12:17

HIya,

Good to hear from you Seaside . No don't know the sex, but may find out on friday at my 22 wk scan! Good luck with your scan, look forward to hearing from you again in July.

Greedy- I defo agree to ignore the dentist. Autumn is a lovely name. What about October, if you manage to hold on till then? I knew a girl called October at school, I also knew a Wednesday! And I met a lovely man once called Innocence. (BTW I prefer Autumn to Kaydie.)

DP stupidly told his mum the boy name that he likes and she flipped! I told him not to tell her! She was like that with Lola last time around. (But apparently she likes it now!)

Bodders- we have a picasso too. Definitely a bit of a tractor at times... but it is lovely and big. Mind you, now I fancy the 7 seater version...

To all of you working ladies, RELAX! Easy for me to say...

Decorators are in the kitchen at the moment, should be finished tommorrow. Then I can have my kitchen back, hurrah!

Chooster · 20/06/2007 12:18

I think she may be away next week as well - she'll be really far along by the time she's back

Chooster · 20/06/2007 12:21

Hi Honeyapple - agree about telling parents names... We haven't said anything. We did that with DS and didn't tell them until they met him. At that stage they were so excited to cuddle him it didn't matter what his name was / is - we'll do the same again...

honeyapple · 20/06/2007 12:21

Oh forgot to say... my DC have a thing about this awful album- POP Party... and especially like to listen to Crazy Frog. This only happens if I am in a very good mood. Otherwise music is mummy's choice! Mind you they therefore, generally, have a fairly good taste in music . Quite funny sometimes when DD starts singing something like 'I predict a riot' when in Sainsburys...

honeyapple · 20/06/2007 12:23

Hi Chooster- I agree, but DP didnt listen to my wise words and now MIL willl be banging on about what a terrible name it is...

Hi Firsty - I just checked the antenatal thread and saw that weddingcake had gone... Its only going to gather more pace isn't it ...

I think MrsMc may have gone for quite a while as I'm sure she said she was back at the start of July.
