Honeyapple - yes he probably would be a Theordore, but only for birth certificate purposes. A bit like DS1 who is Maxwell, but Max to all. Theo is pretty much the only name that DH and I agree on. DH loves it! .

Do either you or DH have a preference for boy / girl? Will you find out at scan? I'm pretty sure you said you would

Wow, can you believe PinkB has probably got her little girl with her now

Crossed with you this morning Firsty... Looking forward to enders tonight . So, are you actually admitting to having Elvis in your CD collection Firststar . Whats up with the numb hands? Is it a circulation issue while you are sleeping?

Chooster · 18/06/2007 12:09

Oooh, should have added - "Last Monday at work for me today for 10 months"

BabyMadandBIGbump · 18/06/2007 12:11

Morning ladies!

Good luck pinkb, cant wait to hear your news!

Feeling VERY tired CANT sleep, feeling feed up with it all, BUT only 6 and a half weeks (3/4 if I have my way) to go, MW again next week and scan the week after that, all speeding up now (thank you god). BUT got some fab news we brought a "Zafira" at the weekend, our currant car would not fit 3 car seats on the back seat and there is no way I could fit in the middle of to car seats neither, so we brought the Zafira, another, weight off my mind!

Hope everyone is fine and well I'll catch up later, Babymadxx

It'll feel great to be not working althoug it is strange on that first 'working day' when you are still in bed! . You've got another 2 weeks after this week haven't you?

Good buy Babymad!!! Your kids can really spread out in your new car.

Chooster- No preference really for boy/girl. I think secretly DP would like a boy. But he is great with DD and his nieces, so I really don't think he would mind either way. (He hasnt said anything, just a feeling I get.) I think it would be nice for DD to have a sister. I am really glad that I have sisters, especially now we are grown up and have our own children.

What's wrong with a bit of Elvis? I have a great Elvis CD- called Memories... loads of really early stuff. My fav track is 'guitar man'.

I have a bit of a dis-like of Elvis as my FIL is a fan and I just dont get on well with it...

greedygreedyguzzler · 18/06/2007 16:52

OMG! so its really happening for pinkb today! how lovely for her!.....means you're up next Bodders!!!

firsty, your tingly hands could be carpal tunnel syndrome. its quite common in pg. i think one remedy is to try dangling your arms out of the bed when it happens in the night.

it pissed it down here today! about 30 mins AFTER the builders had taken the roof off the back of the house, so not sure if our lovley wooden floor will have survived or not!! at least they have been here today, so i can't really moan!

OMG again! pinkb is prob a mum of three by now!!

choosterchops - love the name theo too! goes really well with max too. what happen to your name that started with Ca? i cant rem it, but i KNOW i liked it!

Yes the car is verrrrry roomy, and I can fit my BIG pram in there no worries too. My fil has BAD "Carpal tunnel syndrome" he's having an op on his second hand next week, bless, he's already had one op on the other hand!

zafira was for the DC as well as the prams , and yes very versatile, and even more so when DH isn't in the car when I've pasted my test, (which wont be that long away, money is in place and so is the determination)!

fettleandminifettle · 18/06/2007 18:04

Hello All

Sorry you've had rain Greeds and without a roof!! Have to say that it seemed pretty cloudy here, but my Mum had the great idea of driving round the coast to another beach and we've just got back from yet another lovely afternoon in the sun on the beach - DD is shattered again, as we also spent over an hour swimming beforehand (in an indoor pool, not the North Sea!!!). Can you tell I'm enjoying my little holiday? Don't want to go back to work on Thursday, but I've some work I should really get done while I'm off, but just can't face it.

Any luck finding a locum Greedy, or are you still thinking you'll only take 2 weeks off after the birth?

Babymad - lucky you a new car - is it a new new car? Clever cars the Zafira's aren't they? See I've been taken in by the adverts!!!! Having room for a pram and shopping is so important!

We're looking at upsizing our peugeot 206, but can't decide on what to get. It will be our 2nd car (we already have a dull family estate car), so I'm fighting DH's urge for a sports car - how he thinks 2 children will ever fit in a MGF I'll never imagine!!. Think he is just dreaming. He knows we can't really afford it - I'd rather spoil my children than my DH, am I a good mum or a bad wife??!!!! Anyway, I'm veering towards a ford focus, a sensible sized car - any thoughts?

How exciting that our first baby of the thread should be born by now! I hope all went well today.

Firsty - keep an eye on your pins and needles - I think Greedy is right and it is probably carpal tunnel syndrome -should go away once the baby is born, but just another thing to worry you now!!!

Better go, parents are arguing over a lost piece of plastic sheeting - think they are just very tired having us here!

back later -hopefully

fettle, nope not new but did still cost a large some of money (£3,495) and still costing the insurence is costing us £900 as well as tax and so, but still DH got the car he ( I ) wanted! DH wants an "aston martin" he could always have one if the law's change and you can put DC on the roof, also got to win the lottery first!

fettleandminifettle · 18/06/2007 19:15

Hey babymad - why not put DH on the roof and you and the children squeeze inside the Aston!!!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 18/06/2007 19:32

I like your thinking !

fettleandminifettle · 18/06/2007 19:51

Babymad - finally got around to looking at your nursery photos - looks fantastic!!! Made me think that we ought to do something with this lo's room, as it will be the first time we're living in our own house, so we do what we like to the walls, without worrying about painting it back to magnolia again when we move out. DD's already gone for yellow in her room!

Off to try and get to grips with Eastenders!!

Chooster · 18/06/2007 19:51

Glad you found some good weather today Fettle! Shame you;ve got work to do when you're away. That sort of thing always seems much more appealing when you're at work wanting to get away, but then its so easy to distance yourself isn't it!

Damn shame about that rain Greeds - like you say though at least they were there. When the completion date?

I think the name you mean is Caden... I still love it and would choose it but DH doesn't like it anymore - I mean who's pushing this baby out But I do like Theo so I wont complain. I'll well imagine that as soon as we see him we'll change our minds again.

Sorry about you hands Firsty - that must be a wierd one

Chooster · 18/06/2007 19:52

Me too Fettle - lets see what May and Rob have in store for Dawn and the amazingly small bump

fettleandminifettle · 18/06/2007 19:55

You think of good names Chooster - I like Max, Theo and Caden!! Maybe we can choose the same name!! Copying is the best form of flattery as they say, or something like that!!!

back later, especially if I need some Eastenders interpretation - when's the tiny bump due? I thought she was pg before I lost my baby at Christmas, so it must be very soon?
