at 42 weeks overdue!!! [OUCH!!!!]

girl, 1st Oct, 7lbs 14oz (can i change it? i reckon i will be early now! sept 20th!!!)

greedygreedyguzzler · 14/06/2007 10:32

Greedy DH decorated our babies room mostly (I did the nice bits like puting it all together ) I'll send him round later LOL, and as long as the dinosaur's don't look scary I don't see why not!

Bodkin · 14/06/2007 13:36

Blimey - where is everyone today?!

Pinkbutterfly - good to "see" you again - hope your DS is better now and you can get a few good night's kip in before Monday. Can't wait to hear how you get on. Aaaah, the first one of us to "pop"..... Shite, that means I'm up next......

Has anyone claimed for their "Sure Start Mmaternity Grant"?
I put in a claim 10 days ago and it came this morning and because we are on low income we got the full £500, which I'm really pleased about as I put a few things on my C-card and now I can paid that off!

I think I?m being really thick I can?t work out whether you are all predicting your own or each other ? sorry for my idiocy! Then Babymad came along with her list and all became clear there

Greedy ? well that is a lovely meaning to Raya you seem pretty sure your bean is pink?!

Bodkin ? It IS lovely about PCM she?s had a few early scares but all seems to be going well right now did you also see that we have Taichimum too ? she was on the October thread with me originally

Fettle ? thanks for the BP advice I was always told previously that my BP was on the low side in the past. I think I was a bit stressed as we nearly missed the appointment because I thought it was an hour later than it was thanks for the reassurance on the weight front, I never lost the ½ stone I put on with my MC either so I was starting heavier than I?d hoped too. Sounds like you are doing really well this time I think I?ve read that lying on your left is best which is great news for me because I do but you have to sleep comfortably don?t you! That obstetric cholestasis sounds horrible but I have to say (as I?m sure I have before ) that I am with your DD on Chris Moyles!

Thanks for finding those Babymad I still think boy for me but DH thinks girl!

All the VERY best on Monday PinkB will be thinking of you!

Hello Honeyapple hope thing aren?t too chaotic at home!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 14/06/2007 15:08

MrsMcJnr my DH thinks a little girl too, where as I think LO is a boy!
firststar yes very nice, no more worrying about the dam thing (c-card)!

mrs i KNOW mine is a girl! we found out att the scan.

my bp is always nice and low too, but my last 2 AN appts it has been high cos i have been rushing and stressed. i am sure that is all it is with you too. they will keep a close eye on it anyway. and 90 is the cut off figure anyway, so it is only just bordering on the high side!

greedygreedyguzzler · 14/06/2007 17:06

OMG a baby 5 weeks early!!! you dont really expect that do you!! my friend who is a mw always says anything after 37 wks is considered full term, so to expect to give birth anytime from then, but not 5 weeks early!!

Hi graduates
OMG sooo much to catch up on I have to go to a meeting now but will try and get up to speed tonight.

Seems like everyone is OK?!! which is good (I am trying not to look on the AN thread for my month as this is the crunch time and I am scared enough already). Everything seems fine with me - have MW booking in next Tuesday (will be 9+2 ) and have booked my 12 week scan privately as not sure what NHS will offer and would rather be doubly covered IYKWIM? Not too many symptoms except so spotty now and having to undo top button of jeans Have had bucket loads of stress in the last week and it is set to escalate over next three weeks so am really hoping our bean is resiliant?

I loved Dumbo when I was little - was about three when I first saw it I think? (stil love it and want to have this wallpaper in nursery (slap hands for planning too far ahead!) Agree about 18 cert watership down - went to see taht with best friend when I was about 6 and we spent the entire film hiding under our velvet collared "best" coats in the cinema!! Mind you now I live it for real everyday in our garden wheres the shot gun!! Even ad to drag our jack russell out of a warren by his tail last night grrrr!

Anyway - back later - {{{hugs}}}to all

Hi all

Finally managed to get on here - some cookie issue DH said meant all the pg threads were completely blank - felt a bit lost without being able to check up on you all! Luckily DH is still here to sort it out - let's hope nothing goes wrong with MN for the next couple of weeks while he is away. He's off first thing tom am. DD is having up and down moments, but very excited about the plane flight to see my mother on Sat!

GP went ok today - don't think she really wanted to see me though! not my fault MW cancelled my appointment with not much warning though. May have slight trace of white blood cells in urine, so that's been sent off for more testing - hope I don't have an infection, asI don't want to take any drugs during this pg!

But everything else is ok - BP is nice and low. She said to see MW at 28 weeks, who would tell me if I needed more blood tests at 27 or 28 weeks (how is she going to do that, if I don't see her til 28 weeks!). Bit annoyed with whole antenatal care in this area, have to say - when are/did you all having your second lot of blood tests?

Thanks for advice on back-lying! Feel a bit happier now if I wake up on my back - rather than worrying I've somehow squashed baby. Should have really thought that it would be him squashing me!!!

Dinosaurs sound great for a boy Greedy - not sure about a little girl though! Can't believe you think you're going to beat me to birth - that's so unfair - think we should aim for the same day!!!

Anyway, must concentrate on Daziel and Pascoe - take care everyone.

speak tom eve - I'll be lonely as DH will be gone.

xxx

Chooster · 14/06/2007 21:57

Bloody hell you can all talk a lot - you turn your back for a couple of days and there's half an hour of reading to catch up on

My memorty is crap and can't reach a pen, so I'm going to try to remember what I thought to say.

Greedy - Love Seren and Eden - both really lovely names

MrsMc - can't believe your mum about the weight gain . Thats a really really crap thing to say to someone. I reckon I must have gained between 2 and 3 stone and am really not worried. I dont think I'll ping back or anything, but I know so much went through breast feeding over about a 6 month period. I think the trick is not to expect too much of a loss too quickly.

Lovely to hear about these new BFP'S!!! Like Bodkin I know the names from ages ago, but never really chatted with the ladies. Any news on Coggy?

Firststar - I know - Jamantha's had her baby . I could get onto the pregnancy pages earlier so checked out the antenatal thread and was really shocked to see her post. Its all becoming so so so real .

Good to hear from you PinkB - Wow, Monday eh???!!! I really hope you get a good rest before the little one comes. Its really exciting!! cant wait to see the pictures.

Fettle - I was going to be going up to St Andrews on Saturday as my DH is doing the Edinburgh / St Andrews cycle and I was going to meet him there with DS. Wouldn't that have been odd to meet in RL!!! As it is I can't make it up there now, but I'll be hoping the weather holds out for you

Hi everyone else

I'm still feeling pretty worn out - and now I know why. I didn't phone the midwife in the end as I was going to my antenatal class today which one of my favourite midwives was running, so I thought I'd ask her about the breathlessness. Anyway, it got to the end and we were doing practice breathing for labour. I could feel myself get really light headed and then I passed out God, I felt like a total arse!! She phoned up for the blood results taken 3 weeks ago and it turns out that I am anaemic, but no-one had told me . So, she's got me on iron tablets so I hope I feel a little brighter in the next couple of days.

Apart from that everything is good, one more week of work after tomorrow .

Chooster · 14/06/2007 21:58

babymad - meant to say - I love the nursery!!! It looks amazing

Chooster · 14/06/2007 22:01

Oh yes Bodders - I'm hooked on the childbirth section too - I love a good long birth story .

Oh and earlier I meant to say that I couldn't get on the pregnancy pages - not sure why. What was that about cookies Fettle?
