good morning ladies!

yes its a bummer about the house but me and dp have been talking it over and are considering stopping here for a bit, we dont need a garden just yet as im still pg and even when baby does come along we wont need one immediately. we have a massive 2 bedroom flat which i would be very to leave which is probably half the reason im so picky about which house we buy. so feeling a little more happier and calmer today

honey - are you enjoying your peaceful day with dc at school? we are looking to buy in bedfordshire close to a town centre. its proving difficult though and very expensive!

bodkin - that was lucky that you got a house and moved in so quick being 5 months pregnant! and finding a house the next day! its just our luck really, dp bangs on doors to buy properties which he thinks have good rental potential and he always manages it no problem he is a jammy so and so but its sods law that the minute we go to buy a house we have no end of problems....i suppose it will be even more special when we do eventually get one.

enjoy your maternity and the last few weeks with your bump you must be sooo excited!

greedy - thanks for reassurance. havnt had anymore discoloured cm was just that once yesterday morning and im feeling rather relieved today as i am now past the first hurdle of bleeding at 6 weeks although purple would be rather funky but blue being my fave colour i think id rather that sorry you have no eye candy working on your house, how about sacking them and going for some younger hunkier ones

chooster - lol at the jury still being out on your dh. i cant complain about my dp at the moment because he is bering very supporive and caring which is very unusual! i have orders today to sit on sofa and put feet up but i translated that to - sit on pc and chat on mn lol

hello firststar and everyone else

hope your scan went well this morning mrsmcjnr!

Bodkin · 05/06/2007 12:21

Firsty - I've given up trying to be healthy too (well, I've just had a tinned salmon sandwich, so I suppose that's not too bad - oily fish and all that...) My theory is that we've done all the complex growing work with these babies, now they've just gotta put some weight on and fill out. So bring on the chocolate, ice-cream, cakes, you name it, I'm scoffing it! Plus, after I had DD, i did lose loads of weight quite quickly (breastfeeding), so hopefully the same will happen this time round!

Iwillbe - staying put sounds like a good plan, especially if it means you will be less stressed and enjoy the pregnancy more. Like you say, you won't really need the extra space for a little while yet, so plenty of time to find just the right place.

Chooster - tsk, DPs eh? Feel like getting it off your chest? We'll listen if you need a moan ... and whatever it is, you're right and he's wrong ok?!

Well, Firsty, I'm joining you on the decluttering, starting right now with the cupboard under the kitchen sink..... stand back, I'm going in.... (dons protective gear and industrial strength rubber gloves)

fettleandminifettle · 05/06/2007 13:20

Bodders - you're really nesting!!! Watch out! That's the first sign of labour you know!!!

You too Firsty - don't want to do too much decluttering!!

although I can't talk, with moving house in mid-Aug (4-6 weeks before baby due) we'll be doing lots of decluttering around about then - easier to throw away than pack and move rubbish you don't use. Probably one of the pluses of moving so often - less clutter builds up!

MrsMc - so hope all is well with you. Can't remember when you said you'd be able to get on and tell us all. Keeping everything crossed (except my legs, as that's too sore with my hips!!!)

Talking of hips, don't think i've been on here over last ocuple of days, as I haven't reported on the chastity belt tubigrip. It's really comfortable and whether it was that or the preceeding glass or 2 of Rose, it definitely fails as a chastity belt!!! Really pretty unattractive though, it has to be said!

Iwillbe - hope the house situation sorts out. It is all these extra worries you don't really need while pg. I wouldn't worry too much about the CM, I had a pretty alarming golf ball size of pinky CM at some point (can't remember when), but nothing more since. didn't someone on here (maybe it was the pg after mc thread) have their CM plugs renewed every month? Can't remember the details? Anyway, hope you are enjoying resting?

Greedy - shame no sexy builders - must be quite a site, without their shirts on as I imagine they are today! But then your DH would have to worry if it was sexy ones with no shirts on!!!

Chooster, hope all well with you. how's the weather up in Edinburgh? Going home to Fife to see my parents with DD weekend after next, so I'm hoping for good weather, as it is the nearest to a beach holiday she is getting this year, so we'll have to do some sandcastle building while we are up! Just hope the haar isn't in? That's the worst bit about the East coast of Scotland in the summer!

Anyone heard from either Pinky? Pinkbutterfly is due so soon, hope all well with her. And pinkelephant, hope all going well with her too.

Kitkat - hello! How you getting on? not long for you either now!!

Seaside/beany - hello. Hope the nausea and tiredness are kicking in properly now, in the nicest possible way!!!

Ok, who have I missed? Please forgive me? Must get on with work now. Enjoying new promoted job, but so much to get done - hopefully all will calm down in August, once we've formally merged and we've finally employed everyone!! Which is good, as that's when I start my mat leave, end august - must get around to filling in the form, need to get it to HR by end of next week.

Take care all
xxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 05/06/2007 13:42

fettle - glad to hear you and your dh got some tubigrip action! i hope you didn't get it mucky!

who thinks they might be early then? bodders/chooster were you early last time? or late? or on time?

and are we all going to stay on this same thread once some of you have popped? assuming of course you have the time to come on MN!

really fed up today, feeling crap about everything...........mainly my job. i just want to give up really and never come back! having problems finding a locum too so not sure what to do about that. i just cant be arsed with the hassle of it all, i just want to be a full time mummy really and stop trying to juggle everything.

sorry, moan over!

Bodkin · 05/06/2007 13:43

Hi Fettle - glad to hear the new promotion is going well. But don't envy you moving house in the middle of August heavily pregnant! Still, it will be a good excuse to get out of any grotty jobs!

Re nesting: I suppose it is partly nesting, partly needing to sort the kitchen out before we get the new sink unit, flooring and decorators in (I think I may have forgotten to tell you lot about that!) and partly some long overdue general housework that I just have not had time to do as have been so busy with other work. Either way, cupboard under kitchen sink is now GORGEOUS!

I think MrsMc said she wouldn't be on for a few days after the scan, but maybe she will be back by the end of the week. Anyway, I'll join everyone in crossing fingers that all is well.

Bodkin · 05/06/2007 13:48

crossed with you there Greedy. Sorry to hear work is getting you down - you normally seem to really enjoy your job. Maybe when you find a locum and have an end date in sight you'll feel better - it is hard when it is all stretching out in front of you and the end seems a long way off.

Fettle - somehow I completely missed your tubigrip/lurve action comment Glad to hear it is helping your aches and pains as well.

MrsMcJnr · 05/06/2007 13:54

Ladies hello! Having a crazy, busy day so can?t catch up now but I hope you are all well and I?ll do what I can to catch up later.

Just wanted to let you know that we saw a little gumy bear this morning on the scan with a madly flickering heartbeat which is apparently very strong CRL was 14mm and we are apparently now measuring 7+6 (would be 8 weeks today based on LMP) we were so happy we felt like we can breathe after holding out breaths for so long! We got a little pic too, can?t see a thing really and DH has banned me from showing anyone (he?s embarrassed ) but I know what?s there! Bloods are fine too. More from me later!

greedygreedyguzzler · 05/06/2007 14:00

mrs! i am so so pleased for you! thats fantastic news. the chances of miscarriage apparently drop by 95% once you have seen a heartbeat, so you can now start to relax and enjoy your pg a bit! YIPPEE!

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 05/06/2007 15:00

mrsmcjnr - thats fantastic news!!! you and dp must be so overjoyed!!! im so pleased for you....now you can hopefully start relaxing a bit and looking forward to your next scan

bodkin - do you fancy coming and sorting out under my sink?! you made yours sound so good we had a blockage the other day and i took everything out and after about 3 hours dp told me to put the stuff away again but...i just lobbed it all in and now when i open the door to get washing powder out everything just flops out - desperately in need of a clean!!

greedy - cheer up!!

ok so you are probably all so bored of my house hunting nightmares....BUT....dp called to say WE HAVE GOT THE HOUSE!! vendor changed his mind and is also going to turf and rotavate the garden for us as we are paying top whack ok i promise i wont bore you anymore with this saga

chow xx

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 05/06/2007 15:03

sorry honeyapple i missed you out, thanks for reassurance on cm! apparently i am being slagged off at work my friend phoned to say she overheard my manager telling another colleague i was preggers and saying that its ridiculous because in there days nobody pampered around them and if its going to happen it will happen.

im feeling quite pissed of now and

  1. i dont like people talking behind my back if they have somthing to say then they can come and clear the air with me face to face
  2. im not impressed about my news being shared when it is classed as "confidential"
Chooster · 05/06/2007 15:08

great news MrsMc!!!! Hooray, hooray, horray!!! A little beanie with nice strong heart. Like you say at least you know what the picture is all about.

Wow, all these people cleaning! I really must get onto to doing some of that, but I've got to say DH is really good at getting on with the housework. Actually he is generally very good at most things , but we have been bickering a bit . I think he is getting stressed about leaving his job (he finishes up on the 19th June). Its the whole office thats going so about 250 people from his location alone, so he says that people are already starting to leave and this is making things pretty tricky for those who are waiting til the end. Anyway, I dont mind really when he is snappy with me, but he's not been as patient with DS as tells him off for things that really he shouldn't get into a battle about. Our biggest fights are stemming from me getting cross with him for getting cross with DS - does that make sense???? Anyway it will all pass I'm sure - I just want a nice chilled happy household to come back to with DS2.

Anyway, that was a bit lengthy wasn't it!!!

Iwillbe - Good news you've decided to stay out - ironically this will be the time you see the house for you!!

Greedy, sorry you are feeling down about work... I can see it must really be frustrating having to sort out cover for your own work - ideally when do you want to finish?

DS was 4 days late and only then arrived after being induced, but funnily enough I think this one may be early - not sure why.

Fettle - Sorry, have some bizarre image of a tubigrip sex session

Bodders - love the sound of all those cakes! I'm going to have some nice cheesecake now... I'm back at home after being called by the doctor about my urine results. There was no water infection so he asked for me to come back in asap to test for protein again. Anyway , off I go and DH comes too only for there to be no protein now . I was so relieved it wasn't to worry about in the end.

Cheesecake is calling me

Chooster · 05/06/2007 15:15

Iwillbe - thats really bad about your manager discussing your pregnancy with a colleague. She shouldn't make those comments anyway but especially if you haven't given her permission to spread the word about your pregnancy . Will you say something to her?

I love a good house saga, so you must promise to keep us up to date. Thats great news you've got the house and being re-turfed as well. I can imagine you will be upset to leave the flat but just think of all those lovely summer / Autumn evenings in your newly turfed garden

MrsMcJnr · 05/06/2007 15:21

Caught up now

Fettleandbluemini ? thanks I did have a lovely weekend (also stole all my sister?s mat clothes ) I have decided not to temp anymore, that said I did over the weekend and the temp was back up so that made me feel happier anyway how are things with you? How?s the Egyptian Mummy outfit? No haar yet this Summer ? too bloody cold!

Greedy I?m sure my DH would be delighted by your comments! he seemed to miss me when he was in Warsaw over the weekend no anniversary card or pressie though! how are the builders getting on? Really none worth lusting after? I got such a shock at the end of Desperate Housewives ? I was crying sorry to hear you are down today

Hey Seaside good for you, that thermometer only adds to the stress, I?ve decided, that?s it for me! How are you feeling these days hon? You ok? I?m with you on the food, very indecisive!

Bodkin glad you had a lovely time with your friends! Must feel great that you have finished your work and can now concentrate on the baby how are the pains now?

Iwillbe ? I hope you are feeling less worried today symptoms do come and go and you do also get used to them too and think they are not there any more, you take care hon and talk to us any time. I was like that on Fri, wailing to my DH that my temp had dropped ? he thought I was nuts too, we?re allowed though, we?re pregnant Sorry about the pink CM. Hope the rest helped, how are things today? I know you know this but lots of ladies get some, especially around when AF would have been due. Hang in there xx Great news about the house ? it all comes down to fate doesn?t it! I am really for you about your colleague ? I know it is hard, especially if you are diligent and care how you come across but these people are so worthless in the scheme of things so do what you need to do for you and your baby and be selfish ? just ignore them, easier said than done but that?s all they deserve.

Welcome Beansprout ? good to see you here hope you are feeling well?

Firsty ? hope you are still enjoying that fan! Weekend was lovely thanks

Hello Honeyapple you are sounding very well presented

Hey Chooster kebab?! Donner?! with chilli sauce? DS?s party sounded fun. I had a lovely time with my nephews Hope you and DH have made up That?s good about the protein ? enjoy the cheesecake!

KitKat ? wow! Only 9 weeks!?

Where is that butterfly!? Not long now

KitKat30 · 05/06/2007 15:24

Yay! MrsMcJ - so pleased for you hon!!

OP posts:
iwillbepgbydec2007 · 05/06/2007 16:33

chooster - im sure your dh will be more chilled out when he is settled in his new job, but he really shouldnt be taking it out on ds or you for that matter - buy him one of them stress balls so he can have a good squeeze before he comes home!
its good there was no water infection and fingers crossed there wont be a sign of protein!

as for spreading the word about me i am quite mad about it so its a good job she isnt in tomorrow but i shall have a quiet word with her on thursday - i will have to have a chat anyway to discuss why i was off

i will keep you up to date with the house im so pleased - i picture us on the decking in summer baby in bed having a nice glass of red wine mmmmmm

Congratulations, MrsMc - so pleased for you! Keep up the good work, growing a nice strong healthy baby!

Iwillbe - hope this house is the one!!

Eating healthily - pah, I'm trying to! Lots of fruit, but it is much nicer eating rubbish!!!

Greedy - I constantly wonder if I'm doing the right thing working full-time - all I know is that however much I love DD, I just couldn't spend all day everyday with her - we'd have killed eachother by now, however lovely she is. I'd just get so bored after months of it, I think. Having said that, I'm going through the oh should I go back after this one thinking. Never was going to work once I had any children, but seemed to have done and then said we'd give up with number 2, so we'll see what happens in a few months time. Obviously work are expecting me back and I'm not giving them any reason to doubt that just yet! Hope you find a locum soon, as that must be pretty stressful.

take care all - off for an early night.

Feeling low I don?t mean to be negative and I apologise in advance but I feel that my reassurance was a little short lived because I began spotting last night I was so tired so pretty irrational with it and I totally freaked out. My DH was trying to calm me down and said all the things to me that I would say to someone else in my position but it is still getting me down. It?s the same this morning ? still there, plus I am even more exhausted because I slept badly as I was worrying.

I know it is not unusual to bleed in early pregnancy but that was the one thing that made this pregnancy different until now! I also know that you can spot around the time your AF would be due and as I have a regular 28 day cycle and yesterday was exactly 8 weeks, so it is more than likely that or the hormonal changes in the lining of the womb because the placenta will be developing. Still the knowledge doesn?t take away the fear. I?m sensitive to every twinge today, like I am living in there with the beanie!

I know I need to stay positive for me and for the beanie but sometimes this pregnancy lark is so exhausting and so worrying, I?m finding it so hard to work and focus on anything else. I know that once you?ve seen a heartbeat things are not as risky as before but I know that I won?t feel safe until that 20 week mark.

Thanks for listening

Thanks KitKat

Iwillbe ? how are things at work today? Ok? Visualise that happy house scene

Firsty ? thanks

Fettle ? thanks

Seaside ? thanks, I do know how you feel hon, hang in there

scorpio1 · 06/06/2007 10:33

wishing you the best - has it stopped?

honeyapple · 06/06/2007 10:38

MrsMcJ-Poor you, how horrid. I am sure what you say about hormones/AF bleed is probably completley correct. But I know how worried you must be feeling, I know I would be. Do you have any pain? Fingers crossed that the spotting stops ASAP. Don't forget Greedy had all that spotting. And you had that lovely scan yesterday. Lots of love. x

Hello to everyone else.
