Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yippee - welcome beansprout !!

Iwillbe - dont worry about symptoms coming and going - I think that is natural as everyone says - The way I look at it the symptoms are there because of your hormones and the hormones are not changing in a regimented, regular way everyday IYKWIM so there will be ups and downs etc thats my theory anyway!

firststar - about pains - sounds v uncomfortable - at least DH is being a gem

Bodkin - LOL - am not even going to ask about teh three v's !!!

greedy - grrr at cocky builders

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today- no sun here very of everyone basking in it!!

Also - I am sort of hungry - know I must eat well - but there is absolutely nothing I fancy - just feel a bit pukey whenever I think of any food?? What's up with that? All I have managed today is a huge bowl of rice krispies, 2 big glasses of yummy homemade juice (so at least got lots of vits and my 5 a day!) and about 10 rice cakes. Rubbish!

honeyapple · 02/06/2007 18:29

Hiya- seaside, i had a thing for rice krispies in my first trimester too!

Iwill- DONT PANIC!!! Be happy you arent chucking your guts up every five seconds! I'm sure more PG symptoms will be coming your way soon.

Beansprout- officially WELCOME to the TTC graduates .

Been glorious weather here.

Fettle- Wow, your DH is fab! Can we swap??

fettleandminifettle · 02/06/2007 18:42

Hi all!!

Honey, my DH is fab, but i think you probably meant firststar's today!! he brought her the fan without asking!!! Mine'2 just hassling me for sex, but then as it is hot and sunny (sorry seaside, but I think you've had better weather than the rest of us recently!!), I may just oblige after a glass of chilled Rose!!! He is great actually and read my mind and bought a bottle of Rose, without me asking - have to say that i'd rather Rose than a fan at the moment - sorry Firsty, not too hot here, just nice temp!!

Trout farm was great - thoroughly recommend it to anyone with a fish farm near them!!

Iwillbe, please don't worry about your symptoms - they do come and go - try putting on a smaller bra tomorrow, I'm sure that will make them hurt again!! Keep positive, it is the best thing you can do.

greedy - wet t-shirt at the water park??!!

Firststar - hope your BH's calm down, I remember them with DD, they can be pretty painful, but very different from real contractions, so don't be put off by them!

Beansprout - welcome to the thread!! So pleased for you!

take care everyone - need to go help with bathtime, although my wonderful DH has told me how great i've been all day and is happyily bathing DD on his own, so I do agree, honey, my DH is great!!!!

xxx

Chooster · 02/06/2007 19:50

All these great DH's!!!! Aaaah, its lovely isn't. Mine's been pretty good too and will be even better when he brings that kebab in with him after work tonight . I know, I know - I should be eating more healthily but I've just had a bowl of strawberries to balance out the kebab

Welcome beansprout!!!!! Very very very very pleased for you!! I know 1st Feb sounds far off but it'll zoom along.

Greedy - my DH would love to be loaned out to you for sexual services when your DH isn't around. He keeps getting all frisky but with my recurring thrush, VVV's, breathlessness and hairy legs (yes, I know I could do something about that one! ), he has to catch me on a pretty good day. 10/10 for effort on his part... I'm sure many men would have given up by now due to my deformity (thanks Greeds!!!) Sorry Bodders that you've got the VVV's too!!!

Iwillbe - as has been said, please please dont worry. I remember definately having days when I'd be squeezing my boobs to almost try to make them hurt again as I kept getting on and off symptoms.

MrsMc - Hope you having a great weekend - keep us posted on Tuesday.

Seaside, we must watch the same programmes - love 'how to look good naked' - I wish Gok would pay me a visit once this LO pops out.

Sorry to all those with aches and pains - Hope they all ease up soon. Tubigrip sounds interesting Fettle - I reckon its a 'step-in' job. I'm afraid I'm having visions of you getting stuck half way through getting it on .

Great to hear everyone having good weekends. We've had a fab day - just chilled this morning then a 3rd birthday party this afternoon. It was a pal from DS's nursery and I didn't know the parents and I dont know the area well enough to know the house I was going to was down a really post street. So, DS is wearing his new stripy jumper which is far too big and I'm in combats and trainers... As I pulled into the gated driveway passed the porsche's, bentley, Range Rovers etc, I wished we had dressed up a bit more !!! Anyway fab party with bouncy castles, face painting, electric cars for the kids to play in... DS is nicely tired too!

Anway ladies better be off... xx

honeyapple · 03/06/2007 08:44

oops! Sorry Fettle... yep I did mean Firstar- that'll teach me for doing such a quickie post .

Another lovely day here, going to friends for a BBQ. She has a 4 mth old baby girl... can't wait to cuddle her and get DC to practise on her... and DP for that matter!

My DP seems to have gone off sex ...
I wish for a bit of pestering.
My legs are hairless, my lady garden is trimmed... ...

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 04/06/2007 08:09

hello ladies

hope you all had a lovely weekend.

mrsmcjnr - just wanted to wish you a happy anniversary and say good luck for your scan tomorrow il be thinking of you xx

greedy - you are a horny little minx! i hop i have your sex drive at that stage....mine has been diminished to a big fat zero now - and im only 6 weeks!

honey - hope you enjoyed the bbq and the weather stayed nice for you - 4 month old how cute!!

chooster - your party sounds wonderful - i hope you stayed off that bouncy castle now.... lol sounds like your ds is in for an early night so you will get a peaceful one!

seaside sorry to hear you were feeling a bit pooey yesterday, aslong as you are eating some good stuff i dont think it matters too much, at this stage i think you just have to it when and what you can. i am feeling hungry but just cant be bothered to eat and when i do - i get full up or feel sick way too quickly dp thought he could tempt me to eat somthing last night by buying me a chinese....i managed a chicken ball and a few forkfulls of egg fried rice but just done a nice big shop with tesco and ordered a tonne of fruit so im going to munch away in that all week if nothing else!

big hellos to everyone else!!

well im afraid its more doom and gloom from me, i went into work this morning and had to come home after 30mins, i went to the loo TMI ALERT and i had a very thick gunky discharge which was pinky in colour. i know this is probably normal and nothing to get worked up about but ive come home anyway to rest i dont want to take any chances. im not going to call the mw just yet i want to wait and see if it develops into anything but so far fingers crossed there is nothing.

have a good day everyone x

KitKat30 · 04/06/2007 09:00

Bodders ? congrats on finishing work!! Am very jealous?9 weeks and counting for me! Sorry to hear about the old vvv ? at least you?ll be able to keep Chooster company!

MrsMcJ ? Don?t worry about temp dip, I?m sure it?s nothing for concern. Good luck for scan - is it tomorrow?

Beansprout ? congrats and welcome!

Iwillbepg ? try not to worry, lots of us have had bleeding etc and we?re all still here. And pinky/browny discharge is definitely the best kind ? means it?s old blood. Incidentally ? if you weren?t pg ? would you be due for your period around now? That seems to be the trigger for most of the bleeding on here ? it just takes our bodies a while to get used to the new situation! If you?re worried, don?t hold back on calling the midwife ? that?s what they are there for.

Firsty ? your DH sounds lovely! Bless him for being so thoughtful. Mine?s not too bad most of the time ? a little grumpy, but a good soul really.

Seaside ? you have my sympathies re morning sickness. I too had constant nausea for the longest time? have you tried oranges? It was the only thing that worked for me, something to do with the sweet/sour taste really helped quell those sicky feelings. Hope you feel better soon.

Honeyapple, Chooster, Fettle, Greedy and everyone else I?ve missed ? hello! And how are you all feeling?

Chooster · 04/06/2007 13:18

Sorry about your worries Iwillbe - Good idea to rest up, am sure it will all be fine, but can understand the reason for worrying. The first trimester is such a worrying time - mind you the other 2 aren't much better in terms of worry!!!

Hope everyone else is doing OK! The roll call of us all makes it seem so so real doesn't it. Only 3 weeks left at work for me - Hooray!! Are you working until about week 37 Firstar?? I should have 4 weeks between finishing up and d-day as I've got a nice big stash of holiday to take.

Weekend for me was lovely but had big row with DH yesterday morning... Still not quite sorted but we're going out to dinner tonight so I hope all will be well.

I know you wont see this but Good luck for tomorrow MrsMc!

Chooster · 04/06/2007 13:19

Gosh, I think there was an over-use of the word 'worry' then... [simile]

yes I really really am - we've been having a lovely time recently (I think a lot of that is down to me handling his tantrums / naughty moments better) so I can't wait to see more of him. Whenever he sees me getting ready in the morning he asks if I'm going to work - I can't wait to say 'no' every morning in 3 weeks time . I think it will be wierd for you not to be part of the work scene on a day to day basis, but you'll probably be amazed how quickly you forget all about it. I used to live and breath work before DS and enjoyed the social aspects of being in the office etc, so thought I'd miss it quite a lot but I really didn't!!!

lol chooster at your favourite word "worry"

well all seems back to normal so im not going to harrass the mw just yet. i actually didnt work myself up asmuch as i thought - i stayed calm

well....had yet another house disaster today after the seller has been debating all weekend to see if he will accept our offer on the house - he only comes back 4 days later and says he wants to rent it out now! the house has been on the market for nrly 3 months ffs and as soon as someone puts in an offer he insists on renting - we have even upped to full asking price i have spent hours hunting today but nothing else i like....

on another note - is anyone else struggling with hayfever? it has hit be so bad this month i am constantly stuffed up and itchy eyes! anyone suggest anything?

Evening-

Iwill- hayfever could be worse due to PG... blocked stuffy nose is a symptom of first trimester... hormones probably! Sorry about the house, where are you looking to buy?

DC back to school tommorrow (Honeyapple secretly says yipee!). Trying to get them into bed for an early night... DD listening to a CD of fairy stories... DS sticking posters up all over his ceiling...

Had a lovely day at friends BBQ yesterday. Gorgeous baby girl. DC were so sweet with her. DD helped to bath her. My friend used Tots Bots Bamboozles... which she says are fab... DD thought it was a much better idea than normal nappies... she said it was yucky to throw poo in the bin! I couldnt agree more!

Hope MrsmcJ's scan was ok.

Bodkin · 04/06/2007 21:16

Hi everyone. Iwillbe - glad to hear all seems to be back to normal - as everyone else has said, symptoms do vary from day to day. But that's a bummer about the house. It's so stressful trying ot buy a house within a set timescale isn't it. I remember when I was pg with DD and we were house hunting, (I was about 5 months gone) and my DP said "right, that's it, if we don't find somewhere TOMORROW, I am taking our house off the market." And do you know what, I am currently typing from the house we did indeed find the very next day (phew). Moved in with 7 weeks to go! So plenty of time on your side still

Chooster and Firsty - I feel bad now about trumpeting that I'm all finished with work. It's got to the stage where sitting for long periods is not comfortable, so sympathies to both of you if you are stuck at desks all day.

Congrats Beansprout and welcome - blimey we are into February already!

Honeyapple - I thought those bamboozles sounded good too - but I already have such a motley selection of perfectly functional (but rather grey) nappies from first time round, I ought to use them really, otherwise I won't be able to go around bragging how much cash I've saved Maybe I could just get one or two new ones.... just to replace some of the older rolling stock....

Greedy - hope those builders are behaving themselves and are getting stuck in. Any fit ones? Mind you, the state your libido is in at the moment, you probably would even if they looked like (searches memory to think of famous ugly builder, but can only come up with Fred West, which although it has made me pmsl at the image, is perhaps not suitable for a nice decent thread like this one)

TTFN chaps

greedygreedyguzzler · 04/06/2007 22:37

BODDERS! REALLY!...........even i am not that desperate! Fred West indeed!.....and no, none of our builders are even remotely attractive! hope you are enjoying your maternity leave. bought anything for your baby yet?

i am very jealous of you others with maternity leave so close. make sure you all really enjoy it.

honeyapple - i cant imagine your dp will stay away from your perfectly trimmed ladygarden for long dont worry!

beany - welcome to this wonderful thread!

iwillbe - i hope you haven't had any more problems today. like kitkat said lots of us have had some bleeding during our pgs and we are still here, but obviously sometimes it can be a bad sign too. i hope you haven't had any more funny coloured CM, although purple would be quite nice dont you think?

fettle and firsty - i think your dhs sound lovely. sometimes mine is lovely and sometimes hes a twat! today he is kind of inbetween!

mrs - i hope your scan goes well

seaside - i have finally watched desperate housewives! (i am a bit behind with my tv at the mo!) it made me cry at the end, poor edie. also, dont worry about your unvaried diet of rice cakes too much. i spent about 2 weeks living on jacket potatoes at one stage. currently i am trying my hardest to cut out crap between meals and to just eat healthily. too much of my weight gain is lard at the moment and not baby and after trying on swimming costumes at the weekend i need to try and be a bit careful!............i was good today, but not sure how long i can keep it up!

Chooster · 05/06/2007 10:16

Ah, shame there are no sexy builders Greedy! That could have been a nice distraction Good to hear that someone else's DH can be a twat sometimes - mine definately has his moments. He's been annoying me on and off for a few days now. Not sure if I'm just being really intolerant or he is actually genuinely an obnoxious idiot at the moment. The jury is still out on that one...

Iwillbe - so sorry about the house again - looking for houses can be pretty stressful although I love nosing around other people's places. I really hope you find something good soon Glad the bleeding / spotting has stopped!!!

Am really pleased for you that you've finished work Bodders. Only 2 more full weeks for me (plus this one) but am going to antenatal classes every thursday afternoon from this week (well, for 4 weeks anyway) so that will get me out the office. I am finding it pretty uncomfortable at my desk after a while especially with all these Braxton Hicks. I was having them every 10mins or so last night so looked in my book and it said to "immediately report pre-term BH if you get more than 4 in an hour"... Mmmm, needless to say I didn't. I thought it was fairly common to get them quite a lot?

Anyway better stop fannying around and get on.
