Seaside ? I suspect DH is drunk even now on that funny vodka. I spent my evening watching the Baby channel last night! Also, funny thing is that if I have any cravings at all, it is for apple based things

Iwillbe ? fab about the house, told you it was fate! Glad the appointment went well, you and I (and all the other newbies!) have so much to learn about this pg lark! thank goodness for those who graduated before us!

Chooster PMSL at you and the Grand Designs man ? he?d be what they charmingly call a ?borderline boiler? up here! Meant to say, had a lovely lunch yesterday (fave Glasgow haunt!) with an ex colleague and really good friend. I felt I was really part of her 1st pg and adore her DS. Anyway, she had a MC at the end of last year and she was really supportive when I had mine. She told me at lunch that she was 17 weeks and we both welled up and then I told her my news and we both welled up and started laughing crying all over again ? people were looking at us it was really nice! (until this mornings saga! ) Got an appointment through to see the Obst on 5/7 ? she specializes in pgs with thrombo so once again, feel like I am in good hands at St Johns (horses for courses ) V annoying about your 4pm meeting feel for you!

Greedy ? PMSL at you!! The hornyy queen ? no wonder your DH buys you diamonds and mine doesn?t even leave me an anniversary card

Firsty ? so glad you are feeling a bit better

Honeyapple we?re going to Zahara de los atunes with our friends, Cadiz coast (near Tarifa) Your holiday sounds lovely

Chooster · 01/06/2007 14:07

Really try not to worry MrsMc - Not sure if you remember but I stopped temping after a drop happended too. I think Firsty is right that you've had a different night sleep from normal and dont seem to feel that great. Be as positive as you can!

Great news about your friend! Its so lovely when that happens isn't it. When I was pregnant with DS one of my best friends at the time and I met for dinner and both ordered diet coke instead of the normal gallon on wine - Our due dates were only a day apart ... Its not a great story though as we dont speak now

  • at you thinking Kevin from Grand Designs is borderline boiler!!!!
honeyapple · 01/06/2007 15:55

hiya!

Cor, how busy was the swimming pool? Kept thinking some brat was going to kick me in the tummy! (And i'm talking about my 2 then ). Hopefully I got away with looking PG, rather than strangely tubby... had a few people stare at me... God.. perhaps I'm just mega paranoid! Now knackered and starving... ate chips after swimming and now have just scoffed a packet of monster munch and a coconut macaroon...oh, and some hummus on toast...

I have a cunning way of holding up my jeans at the moment... with one of DD's hair bands... looped through the button hole and over the button...

MrsMc- please try not to worry about your temp drop... perhaps now is a good time to throw that thermometer deep into your knicker drawer? I don't know that bit of Spain, but I bet it is gorgeous.

Chooster- the family camping thing has become a bit of an annual tradition. Been going for about 5 yrs now... The kids love it as you can imagine. There are 7 altogether (at the moment )... and it is lovely all being together. Somehow it is easier looking after them when there are so many... and also a very hands on granny and granpa.

MrsMcJnr · 01/06/2007 16:13

Chooster ? thanks hon, I do remember now how worried you were. I?ll try to be positive, normally comes easily but just having a bad day. Made the mistake of telling my Mum- she was so confused and kept asking how did I know my blood pressure was high!? wine remember when we used to have some over lunch?! We could have the elderflower variety at the Lentil Café in that church but it?s not quite the same is it!

Honeyapple ? all those people looking could have been envious TTCers! thanks for the positivity!

mrsmc - try not to worry too much please. save you energy for creating that new little person in your tummy, don't waste it on worrying!

and what is a borderline boiler? what does that mean?

and.............no i didnt get 'sorted out' last night cos dh didnt get home till 12.20am in the end and i was asleep! AND........cheeky sod is out again tonight too.............AND we are staying at friends tomorrow night! AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!..........i NEED sorting out too!!!!.............where did you say your dh was again mrs????!!!!....might have to hunt him down!!!...........anyones dh will do actually..............i'm not fussy!

MrsMcJnr · 01/06/2007 18:26

Greedy - it makes me tired just thinking about sex! A boiler is like a minger/not attrative person, so a borderline boiler is someone right on the edge!

Ladies - signing off now until Tuesday so don't worry about me - when i come back, hopefully the scan will have gone well and I'll be very chirpy!

fettleandminifettle · 01/06/2007 20:00

Evening all!

Hope you all had good days - swimming sounds good Honey - hopefully we are going to go tomorrow. Physio today said swimming was good for me and my hips - not too bad yet, but she's given me some exercises which will hopefully delay them a bit more. Lots of pillows though in bed and a very sexy long very wide peice of tubigrip to wear from under to boobs to top of thighs!! Good thing, I'm not Greedy!!! - more like a chastity belt, if I even it on - at least it might make sleeping easier!

All girl BB house - what do you think of that?! Not actually watched that much of it yet, but the bitchiness is going to be incredible, I would predict.

Thought of you today Greedy - we interviewed someone who works at the McTimoney college in Oxford - did you go there?

What else have I missed?

Iwillbe - think new house sounds a better bet - hope all works out with this one!

Mrs - you'll be off now, but I am thinking about you -hope you have a good weekend without DH and everything goes well on Tuesday. As the others have said try not to worry about the temp - I had a couple of much lower ones, but it was back up the next day. take care.x

Sorry - have to dash - cooker is beeping.

take care all - have good weekends!

greedygreedyguzzler · 01/06/2007 20:31

fettle - did the physio advise breaststroke? i would say to avoid breaststroke if you have spd. its that kind of spreading of your legs that you need to avoid. and keep your legs together and swivel when getting in or out of the car, and keep them together when rolling over in bed.....................actually just keep them together all the time! just as well you have that tubigrip thing as a sex deterrent!

yes i did go to that college in oxford..........i wonder who it is!? dont suppose you can say really can you........i prob wouldn't know them anyway!

mrs - have fun, good luck good luck good luck for your scan...........and just wait till your hormones kick in a bit more and the tiredness fades..........you will be as horny as me then!......and if not send your hubby over to me! ( i notice you are keeping very quiet about all these lewd comments i keep making about your dh!)

greedygreedyguzzler · 01/06/2007 20:34

i really hope the physio told you to avoid breaststroke fettle - i know i have just said that, but i just wanted to stress it! try googling on SPD and breaststroke.......loads of advice to avoid it, not just mine!

fettleandminifettle · 01/06/2007 21:01

Don't worry Greedy - breaststroke is definitely out!!! I knew that already, but she (a very nice student physio) also said no to breast stroke! Gentle floating!!!

Jealous of your sex drive though! [think DH would be too, if he knew that some pg women were that frisky!!!!

Anyway, I think you probably would know the lady, as she's worked there since 1999, but she wasn't a student or lecturer. Small world though!

seaside72 · 01/06/2007 22:25

Hi everyone

Just a quickie so say good luck MrsMc with the scan on Tuesday - dont worry about the temp drop too much - I am trying to wean myself off temping and am only doing it every couple of days - I had a really low temp one morning which I talked myself out of even acknowledging!!

fettle- ouchh - bodytubigrip sounds uncomfortable (or like you have been on that show How to Look Good Naked )

greedy - would offer up my DH but he is not very sexy-grubby!!

honeyapple and firststar - am storing the hairband tip for later use hopefully!

Chooster - I am with you on Kevin McCloud - I dont think he is a "borderline boiler" about weasel boss and 4pm Friday meeting

Hope everyone has a fab weekend

Bodkin · 01/06/2007 22:33

Hi all - just got back from staying with a friend in Bristol and had a lovely time (our DDs are the same age) Seem to have missed loads on here though!

Chooster - hope it isn't pre-eclampsia and there is some other explanantion. And as for the knackeredness and breathlessness - I don't know if you noticed, but you are HEAVILY PREGNANT Worth keeping an eye on things though

Very at all this talk of swimming. I had high hopes I would keep up my 25 lengths (every Monday while DD is at her gym class) for the whole pregnancy, but the problem is, I am soooooo tired afterwards I can barely get us home from the leisure centre, so now I just eat chocolate and drink crap tea from the vending machine while she runs around like a loon.

Iwillbe - followed by at your house news. Looks like you've had a lucky escape. Bet you and your DH can get this new place just the way you want it.

MrsMc - I agree with Firsty re your temp drop. Hope you aren't worrying too much and that you are feeling ok.

Honeyapple - I want to come on your family camping holiday! It sounds great. We are thinking of doing a spontaneous camp-out tomorrow night if we can get our arses into gear.

Greedy you randy old bugger!!!! Your DH is not going to know what's hit him when you next get the opportunity to jump him

Well, my big news is that I have finally finished all my work. HOOOOOORRRRRAAAAAAYYYY Now I have 6/7 weeks to actually concentrate on the fact I AM HAVING A BABY

Saw MW yesterday and mentioned my pains. She was a bit rubbish though, tbh, and just agreed it was probably ligaments. Firsty - how are your pains - any better?

G'night all xx

Bodkin · 01/06/2007 22:37

X posts Seaside - Hi! And you have just reminded me I have forgotton to tease Fettle about her full-body tubigrip chastity belt!!! That does sound attractive - is it in that nice beigey pink colour that is supposed to be "flesh" colour (but bears no resemblance to actual flesh colour)?

Bodkin · 01/06/2007 22:40

Sorry - Chooster - that sounded a bit rude what I said earlier. What i mean is you are VERY PREGNANT BTW, I had a quick check on things in the "garden" the other day, and, yup, there they were, the old vvvs, so looks like we'll have to divvy up that 37p between us (Cheggers was rubbish at raising more funds)

greedygreedyguzzler · 01/06/2007 22:41

i thought it sounded quite sexy actually fettle............. dont listen to old bodders.....what does she know hey? i would still jump you if you were here!........... (my dh is out again tonight, can you tell!!!) off to watch all those gorgeous women in the BB house now!

greedygreedyguzzler · 01/06/2007 22:42

OMG bodders! so you are hideously deformed too? wow! at least you have made choosterchops feel better!

fettleandminifettle · 02/06/2007 09:32

What a beautiful, sunny day it is here today! hope you are all going out to enjoy it. Swimming then a visit the local trout farm for us, I think!

Didn't try and tubigrip chastity belt (just can't see how to put it on - over the head or step in? What do you all think?). The pillows still fend off DH though - he saw over my shoulder about you Greeds last night and now wants to be married to you!!!

Bodders - congratulations on finishing your work - enjoy your relaxing time before little one arrives!!

Chooster, I'm with everyone, breathlessness is to be expected when pg. Do hope it is nothing more serious - hope your boys are looking after you?!

I'm definitely not checking out the old garden - these triple v's sound catching!!!

Have great days/weekends everyone.

take care
xxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 02/06/2007 10:25

it is beautiful and sunny here too! despite what our builders predicted............"oh no love, we cant knock the wall down today cos its going to rain all weekend!"........yeah right!

we are off for a picnic and then to a splash park this afternoon after i have finished work!

chat to you all on monday no doubt!

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 02/06/2007 12:12

sorry girls i havnt read any of your posts but im getting very panicky my boobs wernt hurting as much yesterday and ive woken this morning and they feel normal - im worried that my baby has stopped growing as this was one of my clear signs of being pregnant and now nothing - any advice?! a pg test still shows pregnant but that doesnt mean anything does it?

beansprout · 02/06/2007 12:18

I've been meaning to join this thread, so hello to everyone . I got my bfp last week so am now 5+1 and of course, have all the usual early preg anxieties. As some of you know, I had a chemical preg last month but am trying to feel optimistic this time 'round!!

Iwillbe - please try not to worry. Symptoms can come and go. I don't have any at all yet (apart from feeling tired but then again, I'm always tired!). They can be a mixed blessing. They are rarely reliable and constant. Morning sickness can come and go, same for cramps, sore breasts, the lot. I had sore breast last time, but not for long, and they aren't at all this time. I'm sure you are ok.

iwillbepgbydec2007 · 02/06/2007 12:28

thanks beansprout i have just been crying to dp (i need to get a grip) whailing at him that my boobs arnt sore anymore - he just looked at me like a crazy lunatic!

congratulations on joining the thread and your bfp do you know your edd??

beansprout · 02/06/2007 13:19

1st Feb! Feels like a very long way away at the moment! How about you?
