Getting pregnant after implant removal

I was just wondering about people’s experiences with contraceptive rod removal? I had my contraceptive rod removed on 25th April so two weeks yday. I had it removed as want to try for second baby. I haven’t had my period yet although I feel like I’m about to start it I don’t. I have been testing with ovulation sticks and it’s always saying negative. Tested daily apart from around 4 days in total and apart from day of removal. Was wondering how long it took people to get pregnant after rod removal and for their periods to return? I have been a bit run down from this rod removal something which hasn’t really happened before thanks!!

Hi am not sure if anyone is stil on here just wanted to share but journey so far I had my implant removed January 26th so had it out 7 weeks on Thursday coming I dint have any bleeding no return to period or anything after it was removed and yesterday I got a positive pregnancy test I was so happy as had it removed as wanting to conceive baby number 5 I have implant for the last 11 year having it taking out to get pregnant then straight back In iam absolutely over the moon with my other baby's soon as it was out I bleed straight away this time was completely different I was so unset stressing as my period hadn't come back worry I couldn't get pregnant until it return but just over 6 weeks from removal I have my bfp with no period or bleeding after removal I feel pregnant very quickly with every baby after implant removal but so shocked that even tho no bleeding iv fell so quick again so be reassured u dont need your periods to return before u get pregnant it can happen before they return 😊 x

Hi, I had my implant removed last Thursday to ttc. I've not had a period for almost 9 years, when do u think I should test. And how do u date pregnancy with no period?

@rachgibbions I’m currently 5+3 weeks pregnant with my first having conceived on the 2 proper cycle. I got my first period 3 weeks after removing the implant. During that time I read that you should test 21 days after having unprotected sex but tbh I would say just wait for AF to come. I got a little obsessed in those first few weeks and my BFP has arrived in a month where I really wasn’t focusing on ttc!

It all new to me as it's been 12 years since my last baby, but it's the first one between me and my husband as we both have children from previous.
Just worried it's but gonna happen or it will take forever as I'm
37 and my husband is 47 so this will be my last baby x

How many days after ovulation did u test if u has no period lovely?

I got my implant out on the 8th August and today I got my first positive pregnancy test I can't believe it I thought it would take a lot longer especially with me been 37 fingers crossed everything goes ok 🥰

I was one of the original posters on this forum a good couple of years ago..

it’s only now that I’ve just got my BFP💛 to anyone reading this post.. sometimes it’s a long road, but one way or another we will get there. Just hoping everything goes well for all of us.
