If we can't be positive about the weather what can we be? Grin

That’s what I thought that you couldn’t see anything until 5 weeks but I guess if they offer it to me I’ll take it! Yes I’ve read that somewhere else too, hopefully it won’t be long though. Why does it drag when your waiting to see what’s happening, it’s going to be a long 12 weeks!!

NoCatsHere · 30/03/2018 11:04

Huge congrats to goongtoofast and juniper it’s SO lovely to hear your wonderful news. It does indeed give us all so much hope.

Good luck to anyone else going for scans soon.

intelligentPutty · 30/03/2018 12:55

Are any of you taking half aspirin as well.
I'm not sure if the science and if I should. Advice appreciated!
I'm on cyclogest (400mg) and double folic acid. But that's all that's different.

Thanks @keepinghopeful I think I'll ask about it at my scan on Wednesday.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 30/03/2018 14:47

@intelligentPutty I'm taking 75mg of aspirin too. Don't have a diagnosed blood clotting issue (my mum did with her pregnancies and took aspirin prescribed to her). My GP was a bit useless so I bought mine from a pharmacy counter in the supermarket.

Not exactly advised but I'm trying to minimise another MC as best as I can do. If they can't help me then I'll help myself!

Snorebrown · 30/03/2018 15:52

I am too. Self diagnosed as havent had any tests because under 3 mc.

BertieBotts · 30/03/2018 16:04

I'm not because I know mine are caused by a genetic issue rather than clotting.

I was taking baby aspirin when I was ttc this last time. Actually ended up stopping it for 2 months pre bfp but the advice was to take it till bfp then switch to injected fragmin which does the same as aspirin but a bit more. Also on 400mg cyclogest once a day at night.

I’ve read loads of people self prescribing aspirin and you’ll never know if all goes well if that was the key, but it can’t hurt.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 30/03/2018 16:39

@AnneLovesGilbert I said this to my mum after our scan on Monday. If this does work (and even up to this stage tbh) I'll never know if it was the aspirin or if we just have better luck (I'm assuming you really can't stop a crucial abnormality with aspirin), but I don't think I'll wonder too much. I just want it to work out for the best and if that's what's happening in general then that's awesome. But I'd rather do it just in case. Trying to stop taking it after a certain point will be a different feeling entirely as I've probably become so dependant on it

LisaSimpsonsbff · 30/03/2018 17:59

I take 75mg aspirin (and took cyclogest throughout first trimester), on advice of RMC.

Had a fairly horrible day today - spent all day worrying about not having felt any movement (for the last couple of weeks I've felt movement in the morning every day) and eventually ended up going to hospital, where they checked heartbeat and all was fine. Feel very relieved, a little bit silly - but they were really nice, and said I'd done the right thing by going in.

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/03/2018 20:11

That sounds really stressful lisa, so glad they looked after you well and all is okay. Easy to say, but don’t feel silly. They couldn’t be banging the message home louder about getting checked if things don’t feel like your normal, even at the booking apt when the prospect of feeling movements seems so far off! Hope you get some rest and bub plays ball tomorrow.

When does the bone numbing exhaustion fade? I’m beyond shattered. Problem of having nothing I had to do today and I’m wiped out. Managed one load of washing, filed some paperwork and made dinner for DSC. I’m now back in bed struggling to keep my eyes open. Not complaining, im so buoyed up by good news this week and knowing things are going well so far, but it would be nice to feel I’ll get some energy back down the line! Not a peep of nausea which is so lucky but feel like I’m walking through treacle.

Snorebrown · 31/03/2018 07:33

Can i have a handhold please? I am 7 weeks today. Today is the day in my first mc that i had light bleeding and a scan confirmed a blighted ovum. Today i noticed pinky / brown cm and i feel sick. Please let history not be repeating itself :0(

keeponrunning85 · 31/03/2018 10:03

I'm a bit late to the party but congratulations on the new arrivals ladies! I hope they are settling in well.

Of course you can snore. I'm so sorry you've got this extra worry at this time. Am I right in thinking you have a scan coming up this week? Is there any way you could have an earlier one to hopefully put your mind at rest? I do hope it settles down and it is just the bean snuggling in.

Snorebrown · 31/03/2018 10:22

Hi keepon thanks for responding. i rang out of hours doctors and nurse has booked me in to epu on monday. Nothing available earlier :0( The out of hours nurse was lovely but she didn't sound terribly optimistic :0(

keepinghopeful · 31/03/2018 10:30

@Snorebrown sorry this has happened to cause you more anxiety, hopefully there will be nothing else & positive news on monday x

Snorebrown · 31/03/2018 10:46

Thanks keeping. It just feels so strange that this spotting is the exact same day it was first time. I was just hoping to get past the 7 week mark...

keepinghopeful · 31/03/2018 10:52

@Snorebrown i know i was thinking how typical that is of our bodies, if you had it at a different point in the pregnancy it likely wouldnt cause you just as much angst!

Snorebrown · 31/03/2018 12:20

I dont know what to think and now i dont know if imagining cramps now

NoCatsHere · 31/03/2018 12:44

snore hand hold from me too. I hope Monday comes round quickly. Everything crossed it's nothing and just some awful coincidence with a little spotting.

I'm jumping from being wildly optimistic about why shouldn't this one work out, third time lucky etc. To thinking why should this one work. Why shouldn't I get another mmc, or mc. Time is passing so incredibly slowly it's so painful. I feel fine, no symptoms. Not that I had any with my first two successful pregnancies. The temption to do a pregnancy test every day is so strong, I'm struggling to restrain myself.

Snorebrown · 31/03/2018 13:08

Thanks nocats. Sometimes spotting means nothing doesn't it? It seems to have stopped now (fingers crossed)

BertieBotts · 31/03/2018 16:25

Yes spotting can be normal and it's about 50/50 I believe. If it's light or brown those are good signs. Getting heavier might indicate a poorer outcome. Fingers crossed it stays away for you now.

intelligentPutty · 31/03/2018 19:23

Handhold from here @Snorebrown
I think it really is 50/69 and just horrible bad timing for you. Keep strong. Xx

intelligentPutty · 31/03/2018 19:23

Obv I meant 50/50!!
