Thanks for the good wishes Smile

A good day! 8+5 on the scan, which matches up with my own dates and is a 4 day growth spurt compared to last time. Little heart was going like the clappers and we saw two tiny leg buds! God how I bawled with relief.

Turned out DH was far more stressed about this one than the last as our MMC though discovered at 12 weeks stopped growing about now, so he's been freaking out for a couple of days.

We have a picture this time as well, so happy.

keepinghopeful · 28/03/2018 17:17

@AnneLovesGilbert yeayyy!!! Just brilliant, so so happy for you!!

intelligentPutty · 28/03/2018 17:19

That's fantastic news @AnneLovesGilbert
So pleased for you. Sounds like it was emotional. X

NoCatsHere · 28/03/2018 17:56

anne I’m so happy for you, so glad all went well.

keeponrunning85 · 28/03/2018 18:13

I am so pleased to hear that Anne! Long may the relief last.

Snorebrown · 28/03/2018 18:44

Lets keep each other going this week keeping :0)

Snorebrown · 28/03/2018 18:45

Yay anne great news!

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/03/2018 20:58

Thank you. And then when it's all fine you feel like such a wally for the overwhelming panic. But I doubt it's going to go away, at least before future scans.

Had some nice chats with a couple of other clinic women. Usually no one talks and it's all very heads down and mind your own business. But we had our scans one after the other then spent ages in the waiting room for the doc and it was so nice. Comparing tips on jab bruising and diagnoses or not, due dates and scan pix.

emwithme · 28/03/2018 21:09

I need to join you on this thread.

Age: me 41 DH 37
TTC: no 1 for both of us
MC1 March 2017, 8 weeks (bean only got to 5+4)
MC2 August 2017, 12 weeks (bean got to 9+6, we'd seen heartbeat at 8+0).
Current emotion: oh holy fuck yay aaaargh. DH at work until 6.30 am so I can't tell him.

I kinda thought it was our month this month, even though we have only DTD twice. POAS yesterday morning - BFN (or so I thought). Due today. Wore wonder woman undies (which are an absolute AF magnet). Nothing. And then when emptying the bathroom bin tonight I had another look at the test. TWO LINES. Obviously it could be an evap...so off I ran to the shop, Asda cheapie and Clear blue digi purchased.

Thought I'd be able to wait until the morning when DH home who the fuck am I kidding, I nearly went to the loo at the supermarket

Got this!

Now trying to keep my heart from exploding. Have added a 75 mcg aspirin onto the folic acid and vitamin D as I was advised after my last MC.

What wonderful news @emwithme Grin

Hugest congratulations and a gentle reassuring hug! I'm sure I recognise your name from TTC boards?

Hit the aspirin and take some deep breaths. Bet you can't wait to tell DH. So happy for you.

Snorebrown · 28/03/2018 21:23

Hi emwithme. Great news! Can i ask how much vit d you are taking? I cant find a definitive answer anywhere :0)

BertieBotts · 28/03/2018 21:29

Welcome em and natasha! :)

Aww Anne what lovely news!

Hootcookie where will you get them from? I got mine from a local health shop and they were very helpful but I can't remember what they advised now and I had a vaginal birth. They did seem to help with recovery.

Natasha, I also usually start bleeding before any scans but this time was different - we saw a tiny heartbeat at 5+5 which was amazing!

I was talking to my mum yesterday and I hadn't realised but the baby is due on my grandad's 93rd birthday! :) He's in good health and over the moon we are expecting.

Hello all, glad to report the CS went well and I have a little girl dozing peacefully beside me. Such a surreal and at times tough day but so so happy. At one point I got very tearful and told the anaesthetist I had been pregnant for three and a half years. He obviously thought it was the drugs but that's genuinely what it has felt like at times. Can't believe my little family is finally complete, feels like my soul is too. Will never forget the support of these ttc & pregnancy threads and especially those for whom the happy ending has been so elusive.

keepinghopeful · 28/03/2018 21:35

Ah massive congrats @MsJuniper!!!

Welcome @emwithme 😊

zaalitje · 28/03/2018 21:38

Can i have some tips please guys, 31+ weeks but bean has absolutely no pattern of movement.
How do you keep your shit together when movement is different each day and some of those days seem barely there?

kirinm · 28/03/2018 21:38

Congratulations @MsJuniper you bloody did it! Fantastic news. Xx

zaalitje · 28/03/2018 21:40

Congrats mrsjuniper absolutely amazing news Flowers

BertieBotts · 28/03/2018 21:54

Hmm zaa I'm not sure. Do you count movements? I seem to remember it was just counting with DS - could you ask your midwife for advice about how to monitor if you can't discern a regular pattern?

Is anything on here helpful? www.kickscount.org.uk/

Sounds like their app might be useful, for example.

notparticularlypatient · 28/03/2018 22:06

MsJ so so happy for you! Wishing you all the best for those coming, amazing but sleepless weeksSmile

Anne also very pleased to hear good scan news from you!

Kirin so sorry to hear about the added stress of bleeding regularly, it must be terrifying. But good news that baby seems fine. Are they keeping an eye on your iron levels?

Zaal I'm only 22 weeks, so not sure if comparing notes with me is very helpful, but I also have days where I can't feel baby much. Usually (but not always) it helps if I lay down a bit. I try to prepare myself for 18 more weeks of ongoing worryConfused

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 28/03/2018 22:07

@MsJuniper Eeek what wonderful news. I'm so happy for you!

(Told you the best were born today 😜)

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 28/03/2018 22:09

@AnneLovesGilbert Brilliant! I'm so pleased and have been hoping you'd post here today with good news.

Snorebrown · 28/03/2018 22:11

Congratulations msjuniper!

zaalitje · 28/03/2018 22:17

Thanks bertie I have the app and it helps as there are often more kicks than I remember on there. But midwives and the consultants all say to just monitor the pattern and contact if any change from normal.
I'd be on the phone all day as there is no normal, not even a vaguely similar Sad.

I did a really stupid thing earlier too and googled stillbirth stats to try and reassure myself, it didn't.
