Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

Hahahahahah sounds like me! Took the test to just rule it out (was 9 days late).
I think i died and rose again when I saw the BFP.

carringtonm · 11/12/2017 16:40

Anyone else had stomach pains? Not cramping, but pains after eating or drinking? Not sure whether it's the normal changes in the body or not! It's like I have an intolerance to all food 🙈

Blair86 · 11/12/2017 19:11

@MCP86 congrats, how lovely for you!

@duvetlover welcome and congrats! Poor you with the nausea.

@Brettgirl all ok I hope? :)

@carringtonm I read that you can get indigestion. (Un?)luckily I've only had constipation so far!

I am seeing GP tomorrow just to get into the system. Not even 6 weeks yet but oh god the nausea! From before I get out of bed til about midday, it's constant. Luckily I haven't actually been sick yet but am eating and drinking loads as that's all that helps. Also having massive bloating still, but that's probably from the carbs!!

Brettgirl · 11/12/2017 19:48

Hey all, dr seems to think all is ok, he has never heard of any issues like that, although said check with the midwife when I see her tomorrow. It's just so easy to panic isn't it? Typically it's not so bad now, I think perhaps just where I have been weeing so much the toilet roll may have caused a bit of dryness. Bit of cramping tonight, I will not google.. how is everyone? Xxx

Southernscape2017 · 11/12/2017 20:43

Hey ladies... I'm about 6 weeks pregnant, due in August so early days, I hope you don't mind if I join in?
First baby, I'm 34.
Super nervous!! I've just starting feeling sick but only in the afternoon and evenings? Wierd.
I wish no crying or hormonal roller-coaster was part of the deal but I made a whole day no crying so that must be an achievement!
I wasn't expecting changes to be so dramatic so quickly but super excited all at the same time
Putting up the decorations tonight thinking... This time next year, there'll be a little one around Smile

LMX0 · 11/12/2017 21:01

@carringtonm could be wind? Ive had some wind and it would knock you for a bit!! Or yes could be heartburn/indigestion try some gavisgon?
@Blair86 aww i was really excited i know it was nothing but to me it was like making it a little more real hope all goes well!!
@Brettgirl oh that is a relief!! Hopefully the midwife says the same!! And you could be right could be simply due to wiping so much!! I find i get cramping everyday i think its due to my uterus growing (by 7 weeks its near twice the size)
@Southernscape2017 welcome and congrats!!!! That is totally normal i find evenings more i suffer altho this morning i was brushing my teeth and brekkie didnt wanna stay down!! Thats all i keep thinking this time next year my little baby will be here 💕

carringtonm · 11/12/2017 23:35

@Blair86 @LMX0 I've had indigestion as well so it's not that, and I don't think it's wind. If it is then it's not relieved through the normal channels and doesn't feel like wind I've ever had before! I'm sure it's nothing worrying, just hurts a lot!

NelleB · 12/12/2017 05:21

Hi
Can I join?
BFP x3 over the last three days.
Due 23rd August.
Can’t really believe it has happened, still in a small state of shock x

Duvetlover · 12/12/2017 07:26

Congrats @NelleB ! I was shocked too, still am slightly but happy too xxx

LMX0 · 12/12/2017 09:09

@NelleB congrats!!!
@carringtonm it would maybe be worthwhile asking a pharmacist they might be able to help if not id ring your doc/midwife just to ask for any idea what it is and for help to ease it?

peachesarenom · 12/12/2017 09:54

Hi all,

How are you? I'm very scared of slipping today!

I also just had a minor nose bleed. I've never had a nose bleed before in my life. Nose feels funny now. I've never heard of nose bleeds being a preggo symptom!

OP posts:
Brettgirl · 12/12/2017 10:26

@peachesarenom I have read that somewhere! Xx

Brettgirl · 12/12/2017 10:27

Midwife today, excited and nervous! Xxx

MCP86 · 12/12/2017 10:29

Hi @peachesarenom, i read a few days ago that nosebleeds can occur soon pregnancy....I can't remember the reason behind this (my brain is still asleep), but it's definitely "normal"

peachesarenom · 12/12/2017 10:31

Thanks Brettgirl good luck with midwife. My appt was a whirlwind!

LMX0 · 12/12/2017 14:58

@peachesarenom nose bleeds seem to be pretty normal in pregnancy i hate that feeling afterwards!!! Im okay today backaches and a little cramping and tired 😴😴 but im great apart from that 😊 how are you?
@Brettgirl let us know how it goes 😊

Brettgirl · 12/12/2017 15:08

Appointment went well, exhausted now, lots of information to take in. Scan booked in for 25th January. Also got an appointment with the consultant in February purely because of my gastric bypass just in case xxx

HoneyBee92 · 12/12/2017 15:14

Hey, can I join? :) So lovely to read updates from women at a similar stage.

I'm 25 with my first pregnancy, due 28th June. I'm incredibly excited but very sleepy! I've somehow managed to skip the morning sickness so I feel very lucky.

I had my first scan last week when they found I was a little earlier than they thought! Silver lining is that I have another scan on Friday when I'm at 12 weeks. Already seen a very bouncy baby in there with its heart pumping away! Quite a relief - it was strange to rely only on a white stick telling me that I'm pregnant before the scan.

peachesarenom · 12/12/2017 16:48

Thanks MCP86 I hope I don't have anymore though!

LMX0 I feel just so tired! Scared to go to work tomoz with all the ice. Has anyone ventured out?

Brettgirl I'm glad it went well. My scan is on the 11th.

Welcome HoneyBee92! I can't wait to see a jiggly baby in there. I've only seen a heart beat!

OP posts:
LMX0 · 12/12/2017 17:58

@Brettgirl oh thats good to hear im sure your excited for your scan
@HoneyBee92 welcome and congrats!! Awww lucky u getting a second scan!! The tiredness is a bit of a killer isnt it!!
@peachesarenom im the same op ive work tomorrow and avoided going anywhere today so hopefully there is heavy rain to wash the ice away!!!

LMX0 · 12/12/2017 20:32

Is anyone else really uncomfortable when sitting on the sofa? Im only 7+2 and wasnt expecting to feel this uncomfortable this early??

hellybellyjellybean · 12/12/2017 20:36

@LMX0 I'm just a bit uncomfortable all the time, it feels like the worlds longest hangover!

LMX0 · 12/12/2017 20:44

I was ok earlier had a nap and ever since i feel so drained but ive noticed the past few nights i just cant feel comfortable in the evenings 😢

theruffles · 13/12/2017 11:34

Hi all, can I join too please?

Age: 30
TTC: 2 years
Due: July 2018

I have had a few symptoms so far - cramps, tender chest, tiredness, heightened sense of smell and nausea. I find the nausea usually clears up by the afternoon and eating something first thing before work really helps.

We had an early scan at 6 weeks to check the pregnancy wasn't ectopic. We saw little one and the flicker of their heartbeat, but I've since found myself a bit preoccupied by the idea that I might miscarry between now and the 12 week scan Sad I find myself over-analysing every pain and cramp atm, which is driving me mad.

This also might sound odd, but maybe other ladies understand what I mean. I feel intuitively as if there is something there around my stomach area. I'm hoping that doesn't sound completely weird but that feeling has helped on some of the worst days when I'm worrying about something going wrong.

MegEmski · 13/12/2017 11:45

welcome @theruffles

I was the same up until my 12 weeks scan and since then the anxiety has been LOADS better. Keep thinking positive thoughts. A heartbeat at 6 week scan is great!

I'm 14+5 and I've just started showing a tiny little bump!
