Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

Aw take it easy! I wish I could see my dr, but I just have to be patient! I'm at work tomorrow, start at 10 tomorrow morning and finish at 10 Sunday morning, don't know how I'm going to do it lol xx

Ah it's a sleep in, so I technically stop at 10 and start again at 7, but I have to still be there, just hope it's a peaceful night! Xx how are you feeling today? Xx

Hello,

I’m completely new here, and to pregnancy so I’m chuffed to have found somewhere that I can talk to people experiencing exactly the same as me!

I’m 28 and obviously new to the whole eggo-is-preggo thing. I believe I’m about 5 weeks (according to the online calculators) so due about the 4th August.

This wasn’t planned at all, only been with the bf since new year, but we’re both fairly positive, if not absolutely terrified at the same time.

I’ve got major belly cramps and my boobs are so sore! I thought I had really bad PMT until yesterday when I took like 4 tests and all said ‘pregnant’. I’m quite glad to see I’m not the only one feeling like I’ve been punched in the abdomen :)

@Brettgirl I had a quick read through other posts on the thread and saw you’re similar :) I just want to know I’m normal really so it’s awesome to have found this forum and you to talk/compare/discuss things with! It’s a completely unexpected, but not at all unwelcome surprise for me to be pregnant!

Hi all, I'm due my first at the end of June (26th, though waiting data no scan to confirm!) and am 10+5 😊

I had an early scan at 6+2 and got to see a gorgeous little heart beat, getting nervous about my upcoming 12 week scan for some reason, only a week and a half to go! I'm desperate for all to be ok, as of course we all are 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Have just called the midwife for a paranoid first pregnancy check as I've had backache and minor cramping today but she's reassured me that in the absence of bleeding it's ligament pain rather than anything sinister.

I also seem to have got my energy back this week and nausea has subsided a bit (seemed to be on an 8day vomit cycle prior to this week, joy).

Looking forward to the second trimester and it's promised betterness!

@Brettgirl ohh thats not too bad!!! Yesterday was good day even was able to go out on my xmas do and not be tired or sick YAY!! However i was tormented as to why i wasnt drinking to the point it was ride and pissed me right off anyways how your feeling alot better today 😊
@LucyDolly awww lucy at least its one appointment closer n it will make it a little more real 😊

I’m not joking other than the fact your a year younger your post could have been written by me ha!! Everything you said was same . Me and oh met in February! So a surprise but not so much that we had come off pill thinking it would take ages (all my friends have issues) x

@ohhellojo rather . I too was asked soooo many questions yesterday why wasn’t I drinking? If I’m on anti biotics just have one shot blah blah I was like ahhhhjh lol! Had 3 becks blue then felt bad when it said 0.5 alcohol or under - which I know is nothing but x

@LucyDolly The biggest fear and the bf have is telling other people and what they might say/think, have you told anyone yet? With it being a) so soon after being together and b) so early in the pregnancy?

@ohhellojo well we bought a house in September so we moved unconventionally quick but hey! Being honest I couldn’t give a rats bum what people say the only people I know will say it’s quick or won’t be positive about it will be work!

My OH has told his best mate. I haven’t told anyone yet! I want to but then I’m only just 6 weeks . I’m seeing 3 out of 4 of my best friends next Saturday otherwise it will be January 20th when I next see them so I’m in two minds!! I want to tell them face to face but I’m thinking is 7 weeks to early.. then I think no I need the support . I dunno ha!

We plan to tell mum mil etc on Christmas Day (still early but it will make it special) we booked a private scan on 23rd so we will hopefully have a healthy photo too!

Got my hospital letter yesterday (wow that was quick) my scan is on the 5th of jan so only 4 weeks to wait yay!!

Afternoon all xx how is everyone today? Mixed day today, I had some good signs, bad leg cramp over night, very runny nose, just now had the worst trapped wind which terrified me, but I've just had bad diarrhoea and the wind pain has gone. So lots of good signs, but I'm just so scared! Xx

Hi all, I'd love to join.

I'm 31 and got my BFP yesterday, which was a bit of a surprise as I only came off the pill in early Oct. So feeling a bit shellshocked, as when my period didn't come this week I put it down to my cycles still settling. I think I'll be due in early August, and am going to ring GP tomorrow to get booked in.

Brettgirl I have had so many symptoms too! Cramps all week - was sure my period was coming - then since the BFP, had a terrible night's sleep and been really low energy, plus upset stomach this morning. Also I got up in the night and got overcome with nausea which was a bit freaky. I think a lot of it must be psychological for me as I felt ok before I found out!

I've got so many questions but hopefully we can all reassure each other :) thanks for starting the thread peachesarenom.

@Brettgirl yes! Feel like my world has turned upside down just by seeing that test result. Hope you've felt better this afternoon? :) I was knackered this morning, but got out for a walk later and the fresh air helped.

Sounds all so familiar for about a week i had really bad diarrhoea and the trapped wind was awful which also came with siskness in the middle of the night oh and runny nose is a new one!!! It really is a rollercoaster this pregnancy business dont you think? Lol ive read everywhere exercise is good way in helping sickness along with fresh air

@LucyDolly congrats on the house and the pregnancy then! Double weird that I bought my house in September too, except last year 😊 similarities are mental. I didn’t realise there was such a thing as private scans until I just read your comment (though duhh, course you can!)

@blair86 I thought I was just coming on my period too! And then when I took the test I suddenly felt super fragile and ‘pregnant’ even though I didn’t the day before. So daft 😂😂

@Brettgirl my bf is calling my wind ‘baby farts’ and then blaming his farts on me. Totally picked a charmer didn’t I?!

@carringtonm hello! I think you must be exactly 2 months ahead of me. Have you had your scan yet?

@LMX0 oh god the trapped wind/bloating is horrendous isn't it? I wore a wool skirt today with no stretch - so uncomfortable.

I have booked in to see my GP today, going next Tuesday to get the ball rolling.

@Blair86 awwww no not a good idea!!! Im finding this week the bloating isnt as bad so hopefully it will ease for you!!! Altho ive noticed any smells i dont seem to like smell like sick to me, my mum was making tomorrows dinner n i had to stay away from the cooker 🙊 aww great stuff will make it seem a little more real then
