Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

@Brettgirl im okay 😊 ive noticed an increase in heartburn/indigestion and was in work and heard a pop, the clasp in my work trousers bust thankfully they had a button i could use but felt tight!!! How are you?

@sammifrankzeska , that sounds terribly stressful for you. Do you have good family support? I've had two miscarriage dreams, one from which I woke up screaming and hyperventilating, and one largely pleasant but utterly bizarre birth dream so far! What sort of nightmares have you been having?

How is everyone feeling with the wait from their 12 week scan to their anomally scan? I have 4 weeks to go till my anomally And I’m anxious again if everything is going to be ok. I’m 18 weeks and haven’t felt baby yet! I hope it’s ok in there xx

@LilyWhit Feeling rubbish with it - it's so hard! Hence why I cracked and got a "reassurance" scan last week. That reduced my anxiety but it's creeping back up again! Not sure if I've felt baby yet, but with an anterior placenta the movements are likely to be less than reassuring for a good while yet ... Sad

Was everything ok on your reassurance scan? I have booked one for Sunday too! 🙈🙈 I heard the heart beat 2 weeks ago but now I’m worried if baby is ok as I haven’t felt it. Xxx

@LilyWhit my anxiety is awful all the time due to previous loss. I had my 16 week appointment with the midwife yesterday and heard the heartbeat, but I'm now worrying about the 20 week scan! The anxiety is hard.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and have my first scan on Monday. So nervous and excited. Really hope everything is OK. Time seemed to go so slow but is now speeding up (I guess it's the nerves!) x

I'm 18+4.

I wasn't really expecting the anxiety albeit it now seems to make total sense! I wasn't anxious at all during the first trimester. I don't know whether there's a physiological element to it (ie my hormones actually making me anxious), but over the past few weeks I've really noticed it. I guess now lots of people know so there would be so much more generalised disappointment and upsetting conversations to have... plus she just feels like a proper little person, with a name and a sex... I feel properly bonded, and I have no idea how she is even though she's in my own body! It's so tough, and I think others think I'm being a bit mad when I say things like, "Fingers crossed" or "All being well..." but I just don't feel comfortable assuming that everything will be okay.

It's truly such an odd experience, unlike anything I've ever experienced before! So much love, so much hope, so little information and control!

I tottaly understand where your coming from and that is the exact point people know so would be so upsetting but on a positive note if your scan is all well and good then its all going in the right direction... my scan was all good for my 12 week and heard baby’s heart beat 2 weeks ago. Just anxious if baby has everything working correctly etc. Did they tell you at your reassurance scan if baby was functioning ok? Xxx

@LilyWhit Seems to be! But as my helpful midwife reminded me at my 16 week appointment, ANYTHING can happen at ANY time, and just because she's okay today doesn't mean she'll be okay tomorrow... Shock

What's worse is I had just told him (the midwife) that I was feeling anxious - this comment was supposed to help...?

Good luck for your scan! Are we supposed to go 20 weeks without one after the 20 week scan?! Nooooot happening...!

Just been hit with the dreaded "morning sickness" Sad I'm 9+3 today according to my early scan (though think I might be a little further), thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones with no sickness but clearly not!!! I have been feeling awful but hadn't been physically sick until tonight. Ughhhh Sad

That is terrible that doesn’t give much faith does it!!
Had my private scan all looking fine even for a tiny glimpse in 3D which was amazing!! Just 3 weeks till the” 20 week “scan although I’ll be nearly 22 weeks when that gets done..
I’m from bromley in Kent and we get a scan at 36 weeks aswell! But still I’m so getting a 4D one at 27 weeks just to break the wait up a bit!
Apparently my placenta is at the front so I may not feel baby move till a lot later which sucks... how are you getting on? Xx

@LilyWhit I'm the same, have an anterior placenta, which is a shame as I really can't wait to properly feel movements! Sonographer has assured me that I'm lucky I won't be kept awake being kicked to bits from the inside...

Glad your 3D glimpse was good - ours looked like a horror film!! Not assisted by the fact that she was nestled into the placenta with the umbilical cord in her face!

Can't wait for 20 week scan next week...nervous though!

I’ve felt twitches occasionally but not sure if that’s the baby 🙈
Is it likely that the placenta moves again? Or is that where it’s going to stay for the rest of the pregnancy now?

Oh my 3D it looked like an alien! 😂

I’m annoyed I’m having my “ 20 week” at 22 weeks!! Because they are so busy!
