Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

Hi, Congratulations On All Your BFP Smile

Im Due In August Grin But Im Scared To Go For My 12 Week Scan, I'll Be 13W5D When I Go...Im 12W3D Now. Since I Found Out Iv Been Pregnant All My Symptoms Have Gone. I Found Out At 8 Weeks And By 9 Weeks I Wasn't Feeling Sick Or My Boobs Didn't Hurt Anymore. Iv Been Very Tierd Where Iv Had Naps During The Day But Now I Feel Like I Did Before Getting Pregnant.

Im Just So Scared Im Going To Go To The Scan And They Say Theres No HeartBeat Sad Has Anyone Else Felt This?? Im Googling Things (I Know I Shouldn't) And I Keep Seeing 'Missed Misscarrige' It's All I Can Think About Now Hmm

LMX0 · 30/01/2018 11:30

@EmzLou23 congrats!!! Step away from google!!! It is 100% normal for this to happen it happened to me around weeks 9-10 i felt normal like i did before i got preg but then bam they where back and my 12 week scan showed a healthy & happy baby so please dont stress (i know its easier said than done!) i think its deffo normal and everyone seems a little scared of the scan (i was sick loads before mine) you could be lucky and your first trim symptoms are gone or they are just giving you a little break

EmzLou23 · 30/01/2018 12:42

@LMXO Thanks For Your Reply! My Sister Says "Maybe You're Just Having A Symptom Free Pregnancy" Im Just Constantly Worrying And I Know It Doesn't Help! Hmm 9 Days Till My Scan And It Can't Come Quick Enough! Im Holding Off From Telling People Untill My Scan (Even Though Im 12 Weeks Now) I Just Want To Make Sure Bubba Is Ok! It's Weird How We Think We Have To Be Constantly Sick In Pregnancy To Put Our Mind At Ease! X

itallhappensforareason · 30/01/2018 13:34

@EmzLou23 congratulations! I know it's extremely hard but please try not to worry so much, and definitely try and stay away from Google as you end up reading all sorts!! At least you don't have too much longer to wait until your scan so your mind can be put at ease.

Someone please tell me I will eventually start to actually enjoy eating again soon. I am a big food lover normally - this is killing me!! Hmm

MegEmski · 30/01/2018 13:38

@EmzLou23 don't panic, I was similar :) it is easier and less worrying after the scan. Although I promptly started worrying about the 20 week scan. I've had 2 friends with 0 sickness, and everything totally fine.

As an aside, I find your posts hard to read with all the capitals!

@itallhappensforareason how far are you? I'm 21 weeks and 19 until now has been wonderful for eating! I'm just starting to have indigestion / heartburn sometimes though, so I hope that doesnt last.

itallhappensforareason · 30/01/2018 13:51

@MegEmski not totally sure, I think around 10 weeks but got my scan on Thursday to confirm. It's horrible just eating because you have to rather than want to - I want to be able to take advantage of all the cravings and "eating for two"!! Grin

MegEmski · 30/01/2018 13:56

@itallhappensforareason oh the worst. I felt rough as rough from 9 -14 weeks. Never actually vommed though! It DOES get better and for some people it gets better sooner. I now can't stop eating and I'm going to turn into a ball. I will have to be rolled everywhere

LMX0 · 30/01/2018 15:38

@EmzLou23 i think its very hard to remember everyone and every preg is so different and so is everyday, yesterday i was full of energy today im tired 😴

itallhappensforareason · 30/01/2018 16:09

@MegEmski I haven't been physically sick yet either touch wood. I'm not sure if that's better though... maybe being sick might actually make you feel better?! I am praying I am as far along as I think and I can be closer to feeling human again

MegEmski · 30/01/2018 16:18

I'm on my second day of being SO tired. Wahhh.

I want an energyfilled day please!

LilyWhit · 30/01/2018 20:32

Hi All 17 weeks on Thursday and I’ve been struck with a sickness bug vomiting every time I drink something. Midwife wasn’t concerned and said if it still persists after 48 hours call my GP
I just hope my little one is ok in there 😭

LMX0 · 30/01/2018 20:57

@LilyWhit aww poor you!!! Try drinking little sips of water and see if that helps just to try and get a little fluid into you and im sure baby will be ok they are tough little cookies!! Thankfully

LilyWhit · 30/01/2018 21:00

Thank you @LMX0 I don’t think I’ll beable to take my pregnacare vitamins.. do you think it matters if you miss them for a day or 2?
How are you getting on ? X

LMX0 · 30/01/2018 21:13

@LilyWhit no i dont think it does (well i hope not i forget too sometimes) im okay had a burst of energy yesterday but so tired and drained today but apart from that pretty good thankfully how are you apart from the bug?

MegEmski · 31/01/2018 08:13

The folic acid is most important up until week 12 I believe, so it doesn't matter so much now if you forget the odd ones. I've actually stopped, I was worried (probably wrongly) about the bits I've read about too much folic acid causing tongue tie!

I'm just trying to make sure I eat lots of fruit and veg to get all my vits and mins. Sometimes I managed it....

my main obsession is oranges and orange juice. The babies going to come out orange!

LMX0 · 31/01/2018 08:36

Ive grown quite found of oranges & orange juice i try to have a glass everyday as i find it helps things to keep moving i had been taking an extra folic acid on top of my prenatal as advised by the midwife but i stopped that at the end of week 12

itallhappensforareason · 31/01/2018 10:36

I had a thing about orange juice when I first found out I was pregnant, really fancied something cold and fresh and that just hit the spot! I've gone off it now though, it seems to make me feel a bit sick at the moment. I've moved onto full fat Coke Hmm but only having a can per day.

So nervous for my scan tomorrow. Feel like my life has been on pause since finding out and waiting for the first scan - hopefully will be easier to get my head round the whole thing after tomorrow and I can start to actually be a bit more normal!

LMX0 · 31/01/2018 10:47

@itallhappensforareason it can sour your stomach easily i find esp first thing in the morning hope tomorrow goes well and let us know how u get on 😊 after the scan i found it felt more real and time has got a little quicker!!

LilyWhit · 31/01/2018 11:59

Thanks for the feedback re folic acid etc..
I’ve stopped being sick thankfully. But the baby bump I had has seemed to have gone very flat! I just hope it’s ok in there! I have booked an extra scan for the 11th Feb I’ll be over 18 weeks so hopefully all will be ok..
I still don’t feel pregnant at all it’s such a strange feeling! Xx

Sammifranzeska · 31/01/2018 12:40

Hey I'm 27 and first baby due 6th of June Smile. Was very unexpected as was on contraception. Due to this, baby's dad didn't take it well and we are no longer together, this I'm struggling with. I found out a couple of weeks ago that I'm having a girl so will be a men free zone in our home. I keep having dream, well more nightmares, anyone else? And wake up at least 3 times in the night, any advise would be much appreciated. X

Noonaylor · 01/02/2018 12:56

@EmzLou23 you are exactly same as me! I've been on the symptoms disappeared forum on here too which helped to put my mind at ease a bit. I have my first scan on the 12th Feb (I'll be 12+4 by then) and have exactly the same fears! Was willing time away but now starting to worry. I'm sure it's all in our heads and we will see our beautiful little baby at our scan soon!! Xx

itallhappensforareason · 02/02/2018 11:58

Scan went ok yesterday. There is indeed a little baby in there with a heartbeat. :) They dated me as 8+3 which would mean a due date in September, though I still think I'm more than that by 1 or 2 weeks to be honest which could push it into August. Have another scan booked in for 1st March which will technically be the "12 week" scan when I will get more accurate measurements and due date.

We told our parents/most of our families yesterday, they are all chuffed!!! GrinThink I'm starting to feel a bit better about it all now. It is such a weird feeling and still feels very strange, but at least I now have confirmation that there is indeed a baby and I wasn't just imagining the whole thing.

LMX0 · 02/02/2018 12:55

@itallhappensforareason awww im so pleased for you that it all went well 😊

Brettgirl · 05/02/2018 17:47

Farmmama · 05/02/2018 18:06
